While reading PoA, I realised why Hermione and Ron are perfect for each other. Hermione makes Ron a better person. He works on a case of Buckbeack because of her, learns to understand people have more emotional range for a teaspoon and cares about the houselves. Ron is also so impressed by Hermione and calls out a teacher when he upsets her. He thinks she is incredible, but also calls her out when she’s a bit too… Hemioneish. She always has the need to be good and perfect. It’s really not healthy. Ron helps her with that.
