alvvays aren't they just they cutest band? I am quite terrible at reviewing concerts so I'll just say it was great and I saw all my friends and the night was lovely and there was good wine and good vibes all around. everybody is cute.

It's probably hard to believe that I'm listening to hotline bling while I look outside my window and see this, but I am, and my grandmother likes it because she recognizes the words "cell phone" and smiles because her English is getting better. I stop, breathe in the cleanest air my lungs have ever felt, and laugh because I can't believe that this is real and that I'm standing in this spot so far from home and so far from what I even knew could be explored. "ever since I left the city" It's still on repeat because it is. And ever since I left Hamilton and nestled myself into the culture here I've gained so much perspective. Things I value as necessities are waved off as unimportant luxuries. "Have a coffee, eat this pastry, don't worry about your wet clothes." They take 5 hour lunch breaks every day, which annoyed me at first because it inconvenienced me, but I soon corrected my selfish thinking. I am a guest here, and guests should always be thankful for the hospitality provided, however it comes. Now I'm jealous of those siestas. And I see the nonsense in keeping a business open on Sunday. "filling up the pages in your passport" I won't miss always having to use a towel that doesn't ever dry completely. But I will miss this view, and everything I've seen and heard and felt here.

I thought that maybe the soggy weather would be a bummer so I almost scrapped any plans of making the festival a part of my weekend, but the sunny people I saw and heard made me glad I grabbed an umbrella and went anyway. Here’s my supercrawl in photos.
