Good point, I forgot to add instructions to the page when I put it up last night.

Hopefully I’ve made it clear enough on there that the ACPT is unofficial. It’s really meant for anyone who does not have access to the pixel count method described in the knowledge base or prefers this display over manually calculating the pixels.

As a bonus feature, I’ve now added a section that will generate a starting point for the edit coverage. It ensures all the pixels with different transparency between the selected base and custom are included. It cannot actually determine edits added/removed on top of the base, so those still need to be drawn manually. (It also cannot handle shifted images)

Because I could, I made a greasemonkey script to remove the tot buttons for specified user ids. I’m sure users with DNCs will appreciate.

I’ve enhanced it so it’ll also mark people when they knock at your door. It’ll also add some text at the top of the page to confirm it’s running.

I’ve also split it so it’s not just DNCS: now you can also hold a grudge against someone, marking them in a pale red. And NPCs are marked in orange.

It is somewhat customizable, feel free to edit the messages for the removed buttons or set it to remove buttons for grudges.

Also, it doesn’t work well with the TOT page’s autorefresh, but it’s in a way that gives false positives, not false negatives. (Random users might be marked with grudge/dnc, but users with grudge/dnc should always be marked unless the script broke)

For anyone wanting to see the current set of hybrids.

Probably useful you anyone entering the design contest. You can see combinations and designs that already exist and avoid accidental duplication.

The only hybrids that are intentionally missing from these are the rare Hybrids (hybrid x hybrid pairs) and the Fetail and Ferox (they are both Teo x Faux and would thus be Exotic Hybrids or something).

Harlequin pattern:

Step 1, draw crisscrossing lines on multiple layers (Preferably just the 2, but it might work with more?)

Step 2, duplicate the layers and make the duplicates invisible (these can be deleted at the end)

Step 3, select the nontransparent areas in one of the invisible areas (You can easily do this by holding control and clicking the layer image in SAI, or just use the magic wand tool)

Step 4, erase on the opposite direction layer

Step 5, repeat steps 3 and 4, but for the other direction

Step 6, ???

Step 7, profit

Features added in version 0.3: -Literally just a new stray pixel display tab.

Colour of the stray pixel outlines is customizable so you can make it stand out against the colouration of your custom. Not shown in my screenshot, but you can also change the overall background colour of the tab.

I could probably design and add stuff for edits with transparency, but I don’t know when I’ll get motivation to work on that. I did have a prototype psd loading functionality using a 3rd party library, but it was glitchy, so I’m also looking into making my own psd reader but that’s probably much more work.

Can we just skip Valentines day too at this point?

It just makes me feel secondhand embarrassment for Aywas that they’re not able to do these things in time and everything always is backed up. Having events 2 or 3 weeks after the actual holiday is just sad. When was the last time there was an event shop open that was actually on time (like 1 week or less after the actual holiday)?

Maybe just skip Valentines like the 2nd part of Aymas and do Easter in a timely manner…

There is no rule stating that the holidays have to be done *on* the holidays, or that the shops should open on those days.

This is purely based on what other people think should happen, but it has never been a rule and the Aymas event specifically was announced it was a “winter” event, not strictly aymas.

I quickly made this because I saw a pricing thread requesting a list of all the pets and I already knew a method for doing so and thought I’d share it on tumblr so it’d have a better chance of being spread around.

I tried to make the automatic matching faster, but if you have a big lair you might need to leave it to load overnight.

If someone else is able to figure out more optimized, but still reliable formulas: go for it. (Note: The countif function is unreliable because wildcard matching is susceptible to false matches. For example, “* Ball Python Soli” matches a bunch of different type of Soli)

Now improved! Automatic matching of my lair (~5000) against all site pets (~10000) only took 6 minutes and 40 seconds!

Also updated the list of site pets to be up to date as of 2018-01-06

Tutorial: How to convert a single layer, two colour gradient into multiple layers

This allows you to play with the colour effects easier. (And the separated layers should make Aywas breeding easier too). Keep the original layer and clip or mask to it to retain any original transparency effects.

I’m sure a similar approach exists in other programs

Since the equation for percentage checking changed I've simplified the ACPT a bit and have now released version 0.2.

Features added in in version 0.2: -Updated to use the equation in the new Knowledge Base article -Warnings when pixel count is 40000 since that generally means a non transparent image was used -Improved UI layout. -Option to change background colour which can be helpful for users in manually checking transparency -Individual image reset and reword "reset images" to "reset all images". -Packaged a bit better and with the jre -Slightly better labeling for each of the boxes. -Added some tooltips

Known issues in version 0.2 -There are no calculations for transparency. This is mainly because the knowledge base has not been updated with these details yet. For now, you can include the transparent parts in the edit coverage to get a maximum percentage and disclude them for a minimum percentage and estimate that the true percentage is probably somewhere in between.

Aywas needs to invest money into hiring a professional programmer to either recreate the ACPT with greater accuracy or fix it. Because otherwise, this site is literally going to collapse from the backlog and die. The customs process, in terms of percentages, need to be mechanized with only the customs admin checking for rule-breaking things on the custom (such as being too humanoid). No single human, or human with helpers could possibly keep the queue going at a decent rate without it being somewhat mechanized.

This current process is inefficient and 100% fucking stupid. I can’t believe this.

Yo. As the creator of the ACPT, I’m going to explain a few misconceptions with how it works and what’s actually possible.

At least part of the process must be done by a human. The edit percentages need a png containing only the edits and base removals (and another for any transparent edits) and a png containing only what remains of the base lines. Neither of these images are really able to be obtained through programming alone at this time (too many judgement calls). This is also the source of most of the percentage error since it generally relies on a human to define where the edits are (The other source is relatively minor and is stray transparent pixels that may as well not actually be there). What the program actually does is take out the rest of the work of trying to grab the number of non transparent pixels from the image using photoshop functions and performing the actual percentage equations using those pixel amounts. There is also the matter of a human needing to determine if any of the percentage modifications need to be applied (for example, limb replacement or line redrawing add more percentage for the type of edit).

If it were implemented directly as a part of the queue, you could make it auto-fill 1 (maybe 3 if you allow for some user/admin input for what base is being used) out of 6 images but to actually have an automated process like you describe, you would need to trust the users to submit the edit related images as well as what additional percentages must be added due to the types of edits. I think it should be obvious why this is not a good idea since it relies on judgement calls (which I assume is mainly what the people who go through the customs queue are hired for). Auto-filling the base images would require some extra input as well since there is not a single line base for each species (old lines, new lines, event lines, etc). In terms of me actually doing this bit, it probably wouldn’t take me too long to learn to do web development, but my machine is definitely not set up for it right now and I don’t really have any reason to do so (other than for the experience, but I’ve had enough difficulties trying to set up my other machine for web development that I’m not going to bother trying unless I’m actually going to make something that requires it.) Though if I did attempt this I’d probably be able to make an online version of the whole tool (But then the issue becomes hosting and I’m not really motivated to do anything with that).

As for improving the ACPT itself, I have made a post in the thread with a list of improvements that I’ll implement eventually (This includes batch import for somewhat quicker evaluation if the files are named in a specific way. Though now that I think of it, I could probably also include all the current bases and lines as resources and have a drop down menu to fill them in instead of having to select the files). I made this program last year kinda on a whim and only spent something like 2 days of work on it. The only thing really holding back my next set of improvements is laziness and procrastination. However, if other people have suggestions for improvements feel free to toss me a message here or on Aywas (pms or in the thread, whatever you prefer) and I might include them when I get around to actually programming for it again (probably not soon, but hey, I have no schedule so it could theoretically happen this week if I feel like it).

Well, it works well enough that I feel like I can release it to you guys for a bit of testing. Keep in mind that it’s still a beta version and thus may contain some bugs or inaccuracies.

The link is a zip containing an executable .jar (this is the program to run) and the sample images shown in the image above. If you have any troubles running it there may be a java version incompatibility, or I might just not know what I’m doing and failed to create it properly. (I’m running on Java 8u40, if you have troubles see if you can find out what version you are on).

Please let me know how it works for you if you give it a try (Or at least that it does work…). Especially if you encounter any bugs or notice something I should add/fix. I’ll also be posting this on the forums after I know that other computers are capable of running it without issues…

I have another Question how does this program work with original edits, like horns or tails, taken away from the original unedited base.  In some examples I have seen here on tumbler they only link the edits that they have done and not the Edits taken away from the base.  How does that effect this program?  hope this Question makes sense?

I hope this image helps, this would be the edit coverage. Since the original tail was taken away from the base, it must be in the edit coverage. The details about all the images are defined in the knowledge base.

So i tried to DL teh program At first it gave me an error but  that was becaus ei had outdated java. So i upgraded to Java 8 and now its giving me a problem with unzipping and running. I have Winrar and teh JAr file is opening up in That program even though it told it not to associate it with itself. When i keep extracting it leads me to teh actual coding class filed. Could i get a exe version?

I have very little experience with Macs, so the best I can do for support is to ask if you’ve confirmed you have the latest version of java? (You can check that here)
