The small girl turned when she heard the voice, unsure if they were calling to her. Hime tilted her head slightly, before recognizing the wallet in her hands. It was unmistakably hers. How could it not be when the cat on the wallet matched the cat on her bag.

She took it gently, eyes never leaving the other girl’s face. “Thank you.” It was almost impossible to hear her voice. There had to be a better way to thank her. She sorted through her bag, pulling out the teddy bear lollipop that her coworker had given her. Placing the lollipop in the other girl’s hand, she bowed her head to her.

“A-Ah, thank you!” Chiharu was going to refuse at first but even before she could do so, the girl already placed the cute lollipop in hand. She figured the wallet must be very important to the girl, especially a cute one like hers.

“You don’t need to bow your head... The wallet must be very important to you.”

“Hmmm, Haruharu, are you really going to do it?” He wanted to add that ‘it was only a joke,’ but the look on her face made him zip his lips. He couldn’t help his slight apprehension; he didn’t want his friend to cut herself, like last time…

“Don’t cut yourself, okay?”

“I-I won’t...! Don’t worry!” That was probably a lie since she could feel her heart pattering against her chest as the memory of her last attempt flashes back. But this time things would be different as long as doesn’t lose her focus.

“O-Okay... First... I cut the apple...” She softly murmured mostly to herself as she tries to cut the apple in equal sizes, they looked slightly crooked from what she imagined but maybe he wouldn’t notice such minor detail. After she had done so and had finished coring the apple (thankfully no accidents unlike last time), she just had to peel the skins (the part that she has been dreading this whole time) and she will be done.

“Haru, Haru,” he mumbled in a monotone and nearly crawled towards her. Though, he mostly flopped, because he was in a rather irresistible patch of sun in her house. “Make me an apple bunny.”

The request was not unusual as the two have been friends for as long as she could remember but til this day, Chiharu still struggles on how to cut apples properly. She had hoped that maybe this time she will get it right, after all she had been practicing for his sake.

“O-Okay. Just give me a second, Taka-kun.”

Unabashedly, she began, “I like to eat, sleep, game, and write. Sometimes I draw, I like that too. I think relaxing is good–I do it when I can, which isn’t often, but–”

Letting out a slight laugh, hopefully the other girl was a bit more comfortable with her presence. She seemed cute, soft, and nice to befriend. Right off the bat, Reve had been magnetized to her presence, and so, she’d even fight to attain the prestigious title of “friend.”

Hearing the unexpected but cute laughter coming from the other girl was rather confusing. Is there something wrong with her? Chiharu couldn’t help but to start smoothing her hair and looking down to see if there’s something wrong with what she was wearing, but she couldn’t find anything out of place.

“Umm, is there something wrong?”

“E-Excuse me, d-do you mind if I take your picture?” It wasn’t really necessary for her to ask as the picture would turn out less candid than the original intentions, but she thought it would be rude if she was the one who got her pictures taken without her consent.

“U-Um, do you have any stomach medicine?” She was feeling fine this morning, but of course her stomach has to cause trouble after lunch. It was probably a bad idea to skip breakfast this morning, she is aware of that but probably will never learned her lesson even after so many times.

A sigh escaped from Chiharu’s lips.

She had been so tired lately, that she fell asleep on the bus and missed 2 stations from her initial stop. She was rather conflicted whether she should keep wandering around for help or if she should’ve stay on the bus stop and calls a taxi instead.

“Hey Asa—” Chiharu lightly tapped their shoulders before realizing that someone she thought she knew turned out to be a completely different person. Her face quickly turns white as she quickly jerks off her hand.

“I-I’m sorry...! I mistook you for someone else...”

Chiharu had just finished her shift before her manager asked her to chase the customer who had just left a few seconds before her. Apparently they had forgotten to take their wallet after paying their bill.

“U-Uhmm, excuse me...! You forgot about your wallet...” Maybe she shouldn’t have raise her voice but she had to do it or else she would lose them in the crowd.
