And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Beautiful night with beautiful people - west coast sunset got me heart eyes 🌅😍 Congratulations @cj3sky & @janelle_chan 🙆💛 #chanelle2016
Spent today marveling at how God is and oh, he is everything.
Family time. Favorite time.
If
hurt people hurt people,
and broken people break people,
then
loved people love people,
and cherished people cherish people.
If we give most of our time to bemoaning and criticizing the world for acting like the world, our vision of God and his glorious future for his people will become smaller and smaller, and that could be a greater tragedy than the one we are living in.

Not the type of shoes I would go for, but I do like the idea of shoes eating ice cream and being forever changed. :)
today marks the end of a year long personal project at work. it started from an observation, a question, some wisdom born through difficult seasons, and a dream.
before i embarked on this project i asked God to breath on it. as i followed through i often questioned whether what i was doing would make a difference and offer anything of value. i was tempted to only half try because if i gave it my full weight but failed then i would feel especially foolish.
in the end God took my small dream and expanded it to impact and inspire beyond my original goal.
i’m learning to not bow to fear. when we chicken out from partnering with God to bring dreams to fruition, others miss out on the blessing.
seeing people blessed now was worth the risk of trying something with the possibility of falling flat on my face.
High risk, high reward, right? Except as our faith and trust in Him increases, the less daunting the “high risk” becomes.
Here are twenty things husbands wish their wives understood about them: We don’t know how we “feel” about things, we only know what we “think” about things. When you ask us how we “feel,” our processor gets stuck and we have to shut down the system and reboot so we can speak again. That’s what ...
My favorites:
9. We see the stoplight and we plan to stop, but it could turn green before we get there so why wear out the brake pads unnecessarily? And, yes, it’s important that we get to the next light before everyone else…WE WIN…everything is a competition to us.
13. We flex in the mirror to make you feel safe.
18. We are not “yelling at the TV,” we are interceding for the quarterback.
@therealjonkim i love you <3
“Even if you do nothing wrong, life itself can swallow you up. So put God first. For the next 15-20 years, say, ‘God, I just want to burn for you.’ We have to fight. It’s worth it all.” - PRyun
Definitely had something in my eye after this sermon today. How simple it all is.
Bless My Enemies, O Lord
This is a Bishop Nikolai’s prayer while he was being tortured by the Nazis. He was arrested for speaking out against the Nazi’s in World War II and they kept him in the Dachau concentration camp, where he became very sick and frail and was near death when the U.S. forces finally overcame the Nazi’s and liberated Dachau in 1945.
Bless my enemies, O Lord. Even I bless them and do not curse them Enemies have driven me into Your embrace more than friends have Friends have bound me to earth, enemies have loosed me from earth and have demolished all my aspirations in the world Enemies have made me a stranger in worldly realms and an extraneous inhabitant of the world Just as a hunted animal finds safer shelter than an unhunted animal does so have I, persecuted by enemies, found the safest sanctuary having hidden myself beneath Your tabernacle where neither friends nor enemies can slay my soul
Bless my enemies, O Lord. Even I bless them and do not curse them They, rather than I, have confessed my sins before the world They have scolded me, whenever I have flattered myself
Bless my enemies, O Lord. Even I bless them and do not curse them Whenever I have wanted to lead people, they have shoved me into the background Whenever I have rushed to enrich myself, they have prevented me with an iron hand Whenever I have tried to build a home for a long and tranquil life they have demolished it and driven me out Truly, enemies have cut me loose from the world and have stretched out my hands to the hem of Your garment
Bless my enemies, O Lord. Even I bless them and do not curse them So that my fleeing to You may have no return So that all my hope in people may be scattered like cobwebs So that absolute serenity may begin to reign in my soul So that my heart may become the grave of my two evil twins: arrogance and anger So that I might amass all my treasure in heaven Ah, so that I may for once be freed from self-deception, which has entangled me in the dreadful web of illusory life Enemies have taught me to know what hardly anyone knows that we have no enemies in the world except ourselves
It is truly difficult for me to say who has done me more good and who has done me more evil in the world: friends or enemies Therefore bless, O Lord, both my friends and my enemies Slaves curse their enemies, for they do not understand But sons and daughters bless them, for they understand For they know that their enemies cannot touch their life Therefore they freely step among their enemies, and pray to God for them

“Hey baby. There’s grace for your process. Don’t forget that you’re mine.” He whispers to me (As I think on another Words I won’t say because It’s not like that right now) His reminder is to lean, to watch him author-perfect To let his power manifest on my pages As present me becomes future (certain) me

So honored to have witnessed and been a part of this. Thanks for not only seeing beauty in everything around you but calling it forth and bringing it it into the light for others to revel in as well. You’ve made the ordinary extraordinary for me. Stay gold 💫 @smayi

5/17/16 First day in #London. So far, the weirdest thing I can't get over is cars driving on the wrong side of the road. Okay fine, the "wrong" side of the road. 😝😅 I'm learning how to jaywalk again! Also, subway announcements say "calling at (station names)" instead of "stopping at..." Also, real estate ads say "for let" instead of "for rent" Other than these, it doesn't feel much like I'm in a foreign country. ☺ (at Tower Bridge)
