THE CHOICE OF THE HEART

I was lucky enough to meet Carey Price several times in Montreal in 2010.

I was touched me by his simplicity, his shyness but above all his kindness and his availability. I was admiring his work and his perseverance in training while he was going through a difficult period at that time. But seeing him, I’ve never doubted of him. And I am glad to find that the work ended up paying and I’m very proud to see the way he has traveled.

I wish him to finally lift the Stanley Cup one day ...

I took this photo on the 19th of September 2009. I was spending a weekend in Paris (like very often) with friends. It was the day after an unforgettable concert. It was McFly. I was in Bataclan… We were walking in Paris, enjoying a nice weather and we were talking about this night, long expected, too short but absolutely perfect. I took this photo to remember this moment…

I have a special thought for all those people who do not have the opportunity to have this next day that is so special… but also for all the other people who will not have a tomorrow or for who, the next day will never be how it should have been!

Life is unfair. Love is crual. People are stupid.

Season over... What a year! Some amazing feelings and some great memories (again)!

February: The France national handball team won the world championship (and I was there when they came back and I spent the evening with them - plus I took a photo with the Trophy. What a night!).

March: The HBC Nantes won the Coupe de la Ligue (and I was at the finale and I met the guys with the Cup just after).

May: Canada's national ice hockey team won their 25th title of world champion. Canada went undefeated at the tournament.

June: The Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup for the 3rd time in 6 years.

Also some players who I support had a great season!

Nikola Karabatic had a perfect season, in which he won all competitions he was part of (7 + world champion for the 3rd time). He was also awarded the MVP of the EHF Final4 and the best player of the world in 2014 (after 2007) (very happy for this guys - I waited 10 years before meeting him but I’ve finally met regularly during the 2 last years).

Kentin Mahé was awarded the MVP of the EHF Cup Finals (and was also world champion - 20 years after his father).

Jonathan Toews, captain of the Blackhawks, won the Stanley Cup (for the 3rd time in 6 years) and was the Mark Messier Leadership Award winner.

Carey Price, who broke some records of the Montreal Canadiens, won the William M. Jennings Trophy, the Vezina Trophy, the Ted Lindsay Award (MVP, voted by NHL Players Association) and the Hart Trophy (MVP, voted by Professional Hockey Writer's Association) (so proud of this sweet guy who I met 5 years ago).
