Was it hard at first for your hamsters to be that comfortable with you? i just got a hamster and it wont even let me touch him :( i want him to be able to sit peacefully in my lap and such and let me hold him

It definitely took a little while, I left Rupert by himself to settle in for the first day or two. I wouldn't recommend trying to pick them up straight away, I've always done small steps like having my hand in and letting them approach in their own time, then having a little bit of food on my hand to try and entice them. When Rupert started walking over my hand, after a few times I'd lift him up a tiny bit and then put him down, and then build that up. Definitely need to have patience with your little guy, he'll come around with enough time and trust :)
