Recording Foley for my latest project; an audio book!

For my final project of last semester I had to re-record all the dialogue, foley, FX and music for this clip from Pan’s Labyrinth (2006). I loved this project, as it gave me a chance to work with a surround mix! The foley was so fun to record and learned so much about sound design.

This was mixed in surround 5.1 and therefore might not have the best quality in a stereo set up.

One of last semesters Audio for Media projects. I helped record location sound and finished the overall mix. Pleased with the outcome, despite a few bumps and technical issues we managed to get this out! Love this topic and an interesting documentary.

Working on my Audio for Media assignment syncing the Foley and sound effects to the movie clip, starting to come together!

Sound editing for a Documentary! Getting rid of loads of background noise, trying to remove brushes with the microphone and sorting output issues. Learned how to use an Expander on Logic Pro which was the most useful tool in getting rid of all of the unwanted sound :)

Recording for a documentary today using a boom, lab mics and a Boom H6! Awesome fun, can't wait to see the final cut!

As a University assignment we had to record and master a radio play. We reworked the original script and created the sound scapes for the entire recording. My role in this project was to compose the narration music/ theme and record the Foley and actors. Taking inspiration from the film Cluedo, we tried to use the murder mystery genre to comedic effect by incorporating dramatic music with humorous characters such as the silent butler.  Pleas follow the link bellow if the sound clip is not showing on this page.

In this University project we had to design sound and compose music to accompany this clip. My role was to design sound and mix the project. Through out the clip we tries to use some elements of synth unconventionally to reference the original Clip. For example the dogs bark and therumble are all synth effects.
