^^^ my current idea for the cover!!

Hiya, I might be back soon. My break was just because I caught the major writer's block that's been going around 🤧🤧 but I am sort of excited about a new thing I might be writing 👀 I would need anyone if they can to put in some requests for the plot, but here's the main idea so far:

A fluff story of Riki and his girlfriend, Sunsim. So since Riki is now an adult (I don't think in Korea, since I've heard Korea lifted the legal age to 20...?) he has been allowed by his managers to make his relationship with Sunsim public. On his birthday, they were both nervous about the response they'd get from fans but they were fairly open to the concept of Riki having a girlfriend because they were also getting used to him being an adult.

I need some fluffy ideas still, but this fanfic will be called 'ur so dramatic' bc Sunsim is a dramatic girly 🤭 I also wanna go old school and give her a twin sister called Seolsim, like I just think it's cute and they can play 'twin swap' pranks on Riki whenever he pulls a dumb prank on them like idk-also having Seolsim as an extra character means we may be able to pair HER with another member, but that's TBD.

Chapter THREE: Little Sips

Danielle was murdering you.

The way she smiled, the way she laughed, the way she talked and the way she looked at you. Her mannerisms, her accent, her upbeat personality... All of it was designed and built to just make you stop breathing.

Currently, Minji was helping Danielle get changed into the pajamas in the downstairs toilet, and you were stood awkwardly in the living room, thinking about the drunken girl. Her scent lingered in your nose like her face lingered in your brain, and you felt like it was going to stay there forever. You didn't mind.

When Minji's voice became louder, you knew they'd left the toilet by that point. The two girls walked into the living room, and Minji looked at you. You'd been watching Danielle, who was dressed in a silky top and flowy pajama pants, and you prayed that Minji didn't catch or suspect anything of your staring.

"Sorry again, Y/N. We'll be quieter in my room. You just get your sleep, we'll see you tomorrow." Minji patted your head like you were a dog, and you frowned. Minji was obviously a bit tipsy herself, but apparently in enough sense to take care of both her and Danielle.

"Don't worry about it", you nod, "I'll see you guys in the morning."

As the two older girls walk upstairs, you watch Danielle follow Minji. She turns around, shocking you a bit, and smiles and waves at you.

"G'night, Y/N-ie. Thanks for being so nice!"

The way she talks is so genuine and sweet and your heart was rotting from all the sugar Danielle's voice consisted of. She was so... So... She was just a sunshine. She was brightening everything up, in a house you'd lived in for years and had become so familiar with. And suddenly, you loved everything about it when Danielle was inside.

Not able to function, you just blink and nod quickly. "Y-yeah. Cool."

It wasn't the smartest thing you'd said all year.

You watched Danielle until she'd disappeared from your eyesight upstairs, and you sighed. It was probably that time where you had to take yourself to bed, too. But as you trudged up the same steps Danielle had walked on, you imagined her holding your wrist, tugging you up on your own drunken night out. Like she was looking after you, lending you pajamas and making sure you were alright.

Sleep came to you a bit more easily, now that you'd seen Danielle again. Maybe you just had to see her a second time, to make sure she was real, and that's why you could not sleep earlier.

But your rest didn't last very long.

You woke up groggily at about 4:30 in the morning, and you literally groaned aloud to yourself as you did. Your head was beginning to ache at the way it wouldn't just turn off for at least a few more hours, but then you heard something outside of your bedroom.

At first, you were petrified, because the noise sounded a lot like... vomiting. And naturally, in your sleepy state, your first thoughts were that Minji was puking up in the bathroom and you had to help her as soon as you could.

You stood up from your bed, and as your body was tired and unused to standing, you got a bit of a headrush. A dizzying array of lights clouded your vision, but you managed to make your way to your door to open it and walk towards the vomiting. It was coming from the upstairs bathroom.

The light wasn't on, and although you didn't want to cause your older sister Minji any discomfort by blinding her, you switched it on so that you could see properly. You knelt down behind her body, and held her dark hair back as she was struggling to keep it out of the way.

But then you realised...

"D-Danielle?"

Your heart leapt up into your throat at the realisation. You'd hardly remembered Danielle was in your house at all - you'd forgotten very briefly that you even met her - and here she was, vomiting in her bathroom as you held her hair back.

When she was done being sick, she covered her mouth and wiped it with the back of her hand. She turned around, shifting carefully as to not trigger any more puking, and she looked up at you. It was sort of alarming, as you hadn't looked into her gorgeous, round eyes for a bit of time and even when she was half-asleep and being sick, they looked beautiful.

"Hi Y/N... Sorry for, uhm, waking you up."

You and Danielle were now downstairs, and she was sat at a high stool by the island of the kitchen. You'd handed her a bucket to vomit in if needed, and she'd given you a grateful smile and 'thank you' in response. All your stupid mouth said back was 'okay'. You cringed internally at yourself, and just went to make you both a drink each.

Danielle had told you she had a headache, so you pulled out some painkillers to treat her pain. Her drink was the same as before, iced water, and yours was a cup of tea/coffee. You gently placed her glass in front of her, a scared that you might drop it or set it down loudly. That's how hyper-aware you'd become in her presence.

"H-here." You said, so that she would lift her head and take it.

Danielle started with a series of quick gulps, so you instinctively stopped her by placing a hand on the cup. Well, you'd meant to do that, so you could pull it away from her face, but your hand actually went on hers. You snatched your own hand back, as if her touch had scolded you, and you ignored the tingly feeling in your fingers.

"Danielle, wait. Just...little sips." You advised.

She took your suggestion and drank less quickly, realising you wouldn't want her to vomit again. She saves some of her drink to take some of the painkillers with it, and you helped her break them up into smaller pieces for her to swallow.

As you were focused on that, she laughed softly. You instantly turned red, scared she was giggling at you for some negative reason. You couldn't even speak, and just hummed to prompt her to explain what she found amusing.

"Sorry, Y/N-ie." She apologised, covering her mouth politely. "Just... I find it very endearing that you're looking after me like this. That's all."

You blinked. The word 'endearing' stuck in your head for a minute, clouding up the test of your thoughts. You kept your eyes on Danielle's for a bit of time, before awkwardly nodding your head. Like you agreed or something. You could physically feel the blush creep up your neck from both embarrassment and butterflies.

"So..." She said, seemingly wanting to talk.

You stayed silent, sitting down at the island with her. You didn't realise how your hand was shaking a tiny bit until Danielle looked at it herself, though she didn't acknowledge it. As you hid your hand away, you watched her attentively for what she had to say.

"I'm actually really grateful. I was worried about my impression on you... because I didn't know how it would look for me to come back to your house, wake you up, stay overnight and then wake you up once again because I was vomiting. And you're being really nice."

Her words, every syllable, was still on your mind after she'd said the next few words. You couldn't explain the feeling very well, but you knew what it was: it was every romance novel you'd read late at night and kicked your feet to; it was every cheesy song that made you feel too single to even listen to it; it was every interaction between Romeo and Juliet in your head.

It was just your heart racing in her presence.

"That's... It's okay. I don't mind you being here." You said quietly.

She giggled again, not hiding it as much this time. She leaned a little bit closer, her dazzling eyes maintaining their gaze in yours.

"I don't think I'm even very drunk. You're just this cute." She said, almost cheekily.

You turned bright red, and looked upstairs as though to see if Minji was about to come down and interrupt you guys now that Danielle had said that. You took a deep breath and processed what she said to you. Unlike when she said you were pretty, she was now less drunk and had said it to you directly, with the intention of you hearing it.

Those words were meant for you. They were little, just like the little sips Danielle had to take before she was able to drink more easily. But you were suddenly looking forward to the other little sips of water she'd be giving you as the night continued onto morning.

Chapter TWO: Overnight

Danielle was still on your mind by the time the digital clock on your bedside table told you it was now 12:47am. She hadn't really left it at all, and as much as it wasn't awful to have this pretty girl stuck in your head, you valued your sleep. But also, you felt so pathetic when you realised you'd not even spoken to this girl for five minutes and you were already growing a small crush on her.

You weren't being dramatic. Literally, even when you told yourself not to think about her for at least another 60 seconds, she'd appear next to you in your mind.

Like when you realised you wouldn't sleep properly until Minji got home, so you went downstairs to get a late snack. You'd opened the fridge to get the milk as to pour yourself a cup of tea/coffee, and you caught your stupid self imagining what it would be like for Danielle to walk up behind you and ask what you were doing.

Something as mundane as that, yes. But the idea of such a domestic, meaningless and easily forgettable moment between you and this girl was bringing you to paradise. As shameful as that was to you, it was also something that you couldn't stop doing. Like a guilty pleasure you'd gained jn the last two hours.

You thought back to how you'd been feeling before Minji had entered your room, about to tell you her plans to go out with her friends. You'd been scrolling on whatever Netflix had to offer, which wasn't a lot. You could remember a time when you'd be able to spend a day just the same old shit on TV and not get bored, but now…

These days…

Something felt bitter. Almost as though you'd lost something, and you knew what it was. It was that thrill, that excitement, that reason to get up in the morning. You weren't depressed or anything, but you just had a lack of motivation and enthusiasm for the past year or so, and it was getting to your brain.

This might be why you couldn't stop thinking of Danielle, despite how you'd only known her for three minutes. You were at a point in life where you needed something not quite insane but just new and exciting enough to give you energy, for you to care about living a little more. And that new and exciting something - or someone - just waltzed through your door looking stunning and acting like God's gift to you.

Maybe the man upstairs is making up for my utter boredom.

You'd taken yourself back up to your bedroom, where things were the same. You liked your living space, especially your room, but it had been the same since… well, a long time ago. You were thinking perhaps you could dive into Pinterest to get some new bedroom inspiration.

In your room, you weren't doing much. You were just laying on your mattress with closed eyes, but you were wide awake thinking about what your life is like in comparison to what you want it to be like right now.

Then you heard the door open.

You perked up a little, but didn't decide to go downstairs just yet. You knew it was most likely Minji, no one else, and your assumption was only confirmed when her voice was heard. God, she sounded sort of breathless, but at least she was happy, which was obvious.

What made you decide to leave your room, however, was when a second voice came from downstairs.

"Minji-ah, can I borrow some clothes, please? Anything will do, thanks so much."

Without a doubt, that was Danielle's voice. Danielle Marsh's voice. As in, the same girl who hadn't left your mind for the last few hours. She'd occupied your thoughts very frequently, and now here she was again, downstairs. But she was asking for clothes from your older sister.

You raced down the staircase of the second floor in your home, and stopped at the bottom when you were able to clearly see Minji and Danielle. Both were still dressed in their pretty dresses and expensive shoes, but their hair was a little tousled, their foreheads shone with a sheen of sweat and their makeup faces had been smudged around the eyes.

Minji was supporting Danielle, and sat her down on the couch of your living room when she turned and saw you.

"Oh! Gosh, Y/N, hey. Sorry if we woke you, I was just about to get Danielle some ice water to even out her, uh, drunkeness." She awkwardly managed to string together a sentence or two.

You shook your head, and tripped a little as you hopped the last step. "No, no, I'll get that." You insisted.

Sure, because Minji was your sister and was obviously intoxicated and vulnerable and worn out. But also, Danielle was here, and the more you observed her, the more you realised what a state she was in. She seemed happy enough, smiling lazily at your sister, but she was sprawled across the couch, pale and covering her mouth a little, as if she were about to vomit.

This only made you whip up the iced water even more quickly, and you were about to hand it to Danielle after walking from the kitchen to the living room, but Minji gave it to her instead once she took it from your hand. Minji probably thought she was just being a tiny bit helpful, but you sort of sulked internally, having rathered you gave it to Danielle instead.

You were about to question, too, why she was so wasted, but Minji beat you to that, as well.

"I think Dani here oversaw how much she could manage. She's been vomiting a bit too much for her brother to handle, and so I offered for her to stay overnight with us. Is that okay?"

You were already nodding, but Danielle, who wasn't watching, decided she had to add to what Minji had said.

"I won't be any trouble at all, Y/N-ie. I'm sorry, I just didn't realise I was such a lightweight until -"

"It's fine, Dan." Minji cut her off, and you pouted stupidly because you would have never stopped Danielle from talking.

And also because you loathed yourself for thinking too much tonight.

"Right! Let me just grab some pj's for you, and then I'll help you get changed. Y/N-ah, please just watch over her for a moment. If she vomits, just take her to the bathroom of course."

And then you were left alone, with a very drunk Danielle. Her flowery scent was now tainted ever so slightly by the alcohol and skunky smell of the club, but she still graced your house with her scent. Without thinking, you sat next to her, and just waited for her to need anything from you. You were ready to run and get it.

"Hey, Y/N-ie…"

You hadn't noticed what she called you the first time she used the nickname, but this time, you did. And it stuck to your cheeks in a red hue, so deep a crimson that you know Danielle could dip her fingers in it and paint a sunset by hand. Gosh, you wonder if she likes to finger paint...?

"Uh, yeah? You okay?"

She was too out of it to notice your stutter and your delayed response, luckily. Even while she was lying across your couch, a little messy and very intoxicated, she made you feel stupid. It was sort of funny. This angel was just in your house, and you were silently worshipping everything you wouldn't have if it was anyone else.

What was it with this stranger? What was it that made you so… how do you even describe it?

"I'm 'kay. Just a bit, haha, tired. You know, I'm used to the odd drink at home under supervision, but I suppose I forgot that I normally even it out with lemonade. I think I overestimated my limits," She admitted with a melodic ring of laughter.

"…Ah", you weren't sure if she wanted you to answer.

"So... Mrs Stokes, huh? We didn't get to finish our conversation did we?"

"Oh-"

"I didn't forget." She smiled up at you from her hunched position. "I actually would have talked longer with you, but Minji was obviously excited to go to the club. Anyways, what other teachers do you have?"

You guys had a sweet conversation while Minji was away. It wasn't much more than small talk, but what made it special was that you didn't feel awkward. Small talk, as a lot of us can agree, made you want to sink into a hole in the ground and let it swallow you up, but with Danielle, small talk was better.

Maybe she has lots of friends at school. Although, you were sure you would have heard of such a popular person at the place you attended five days a week for seven hours.

Danielle sighed softly. "I'm surprised and honestly bummed we haven't met each other before tonight. How'd I not notice you…you're really pretty."

She'd mumbled that last part. You were pretty sure though that she wasn't bothered if you heard or not. Was it even directly towards you, or just for her own ears? Was she so exhausted that she needed to hear her thoughts out loud in order to understand them properly?

Your mind had gone into a small frenzy at the way she spoke either to or about you, but at the worst moment, Minji walked downstairs with a matching set of pyjamas in her arms for Danielle.

Helllllooooooo 👀 I have finally decided what I'm doing next. So far, the majority of my posts have been enha-related, so now we are moving onto a small newjeans series in which Danielle marsh is the reader's sister's bestie.... I'm so excoited 🤧

Warnings: underage clubbing, fluff, maybe some swearing. Tell me if there's something I should add!!

Chapter ONE: when dani met y/n

**sneak peek**: "When I get back, y/n, we have to get to know each other better. I mean, how have we not seen each other more?"

You were on your bed with a television remote in your hand. Why did Netflix not have anything better these days? You wanted to get to sleep earlier tonight, and you had this God awful habit of needed some sort of background sound from the TV. Since you'd be falling asleep, you didn't want to watch anything too riveting, in case you missed it, but the things you normally watched weren't satisfying enough.

Saturday nights used to be fun. You felt you needed something new, but not too much. Does that make any sense? Something that was a change of scenery but offered you comfort. Made you feel content. Made you feel chill but also satisfied. There was no way to do that, being the teenager you were, apparently.

You thought about your older sister as you scrolled on Netflix. She was always so insufferably happy. As much as you loved her, you found it hard to be enthusiastic about everything 24/7, and yet somehow she managed to do that. You wanted to be that happy, but you knew you'd never be so energetic.

Speaking of your sibling, she was outside your bedroom door, which was always closed. She knocked on it with that same old unmistakable pattern she used. To this, you didn't blink or tear your eyes from the television screen, but you hummed and allowed her to enter the room.

"Hey, Y/N?"

"Yeah?"

You clicked on the same show as normal. That was when you sighed and turned to look at your sister, Minji. You'd expected her to be dressed in her usual evening wear at this time, which was routinely her plain joggers and hoodie. But you were wrong. Minji was sporting this gorgeous, thin black dress, which had off the shoulder bishop sleeves and a cute neckline. Her shoes were leather boots, zipped up to her knees. What was the occasion?

"Uh, Uhm... Minji?" You said, not sure how to address this attire. Her make-up had you guess she was going out - but not to a friend's house.

"Yeah I know. I just wanted to let you know I had these last - minute plans with a few friends of mine. We're... clubbing!" She exclaimed.

Your sister was always sensible. That's how you knew her. She was the older one, and although her happiness made her seem less cautious and more naiive, Minji was genuinely confident in how to look after herself and those around her. You knew this wasn't a big deal - she was just clubbing, and she was very nearly of age anyway, and she could defend herself from trouble.

But... Minji? Clubbing? You weren't sure if that suited her. She used to be very low-key, but in the past few years, you observed how freakishly giggly she always was. You'd suspected she had a boyfriend or something, and maybe this was why she was going clubbing. However, you always pictured her ideas of fun as... Sleepovers, probably.

"Ah... Alright. Will you... Will you be safe?"

That felt like a stupid question to ask. You know for a fact that Minji wouldn't deliberately put herself in any terrible danger, but also knew that going clubbing underage without a proper adult might have been sort of dangerous anyway.

"Mhm," Minji nodded, "I have a r*p* alarm in my bag, and I'll keep my phone turned on. My location will be on snap, okay? Also, my friend's older brother will be supervising us." She assured.

You supposed then that having an adult was confirmed, in that case. Either way, if Minji didn't take those precautions, she had taken martial arts as a child. You knew as a legal witness that she could kick ass if anyone dared touch her.

"Okay," you smiled, "glad you're prepared. Just don't do anything stupid, of course." You added, even though Minji was normally the one to say those words, as she was your older sister - not the other way around.

"Promise! Also, Y/N, my friend Danielle is meeting me here with her brother. I'd... Like you to meet her, please."

You blinked.

This wasn't what she came here to tell you about, surely. Just that she was going out. Not that you'd have to meet anybody. Truth be told, you weren't a very social person. You didn't flow well with the concept of change. You watched the same TV shows at night, you ate the same comfort food, you listened to the same artists, you doodled the same drawings, you hung out with the same people -

Actually, you could see the reason why Minji wanted you to meet her friend. It was pretty clear from how... Selectively social you were. And maybe this wasn't just to help you out; what if this Danielle also had trouble making new friends?

Besides, weren't you just internally complaining about how dull things were these days? How you needed something new to just enlighten you a little? Just a bit? Perhaps this was for the better, and even if you declined, Minji would be able to find a way to bring Danielle to you, instead.

"Yeah, sure." You say.

At this, Minji is completely surprised, but also ecstatic and sure to accept before you change your mind. To avoid this, she tries to respond low-key and just accepts it, grabbing your hand and dragging you out of the familiar walls of your bedroom. You felt like a hermit, leaving it finally.

"Great, great. Cool. She'll be here literally any minute now, Y/N. You'll love her, I wouldn't do this if I didn't think you would. She's friendly, she's bright, she's smart, she's pretty, she's Aussie -"

Minji continued to rant about this friend. You began to think that maybe she didn't have a boyfriend, but a fat crush on her friend Danielle. You rolled your eyes a little, but didn't stop her from talking. You were sat down on the couch soon enough, and were waiting sort of nervously for someone to come to the door.

And they did soon. Minji squealed and smacked at her thighs in excitement, rushing to the front entrance to let Danielle inside. Your parents were on a conference trop outside of the area, so they weren't here to question what was going on.

A flowery aroma graced your house. You knew instantly that that scent was Danielle's. Maybe she'd just applied it for the night. When you finally turned around to see her, she was all glammed up and in a dress just as glamorous as Minji's.

She was pretty.

Like, really pretty.

But you told yourself it was the make-up, obviously.

Danielle was smiling very brightly as she kept her eyes on Minji, not the house. As far as you could infer, Danielle was a new, additional friend of your sister's, and she wasn't actually a long-time one. She'd probably never seen your house before, but the way she just focused on her friend made her seem more interesting to you.

Then she startled you by facing your way.

Fuck, fuck, fuck.

Maybe it was because she caught you studying her, maybe it was because she was frighteningly stunning, maybe it was because you just weren't accustomed to meeting new people. But hell on earth, you weren't expecting such a beautiful gaze to invite you like this.

"Hi, I'm Danielle. Nice to meet you!" She bowed politely, her smile not leaving. It made you feel sort of validated, and you hated yourself for loving this very minor attention.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you, too. I'm Y/N, Minji's younger sister." You introduced yourself, standing up to bow. You got a bit of a headrush from standing too quickly, but you were secretly eager to display how nice you could be.

Minji nearly laughed at how new you were to this, and it was fun seeing the different side of you. The one where you hid how messy and boring you often were. But she had to admit, even when you wore those shapeless sweat pants and that cropped, long-sleeve top, you could be very formal.

"Oh, yes, I've heard quite a few things about you, you know. Not just from Minji, but from my history teacher, Mrs Stokes -"

You'd been partially hooked in Danielle's Australian accent, but upon hearing the name of that one history teacher, your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Mrs Stokes was your history teacher.

"Y-you go to my school?" You checked to see if you were right.

"Uh, (school name), right?"

"Uh-huh."

"Well, yeah," Minji interrupted, "Dani goes to your school. Did you not... Know that?"

You shook your head, and as your face was turned away from Danielle's, you gave Minji a very mean look. How could she not tell you? And how could she make you look like an idiot by acting as though you did know? You felt a bit betrayed, and also cheated because you thought you will have remembered someone as beautiful as Danielle go to your school.

It had taken you ages to find the group of people at school you hung out with. Nearly everyone who attended the same play was a complete asshole in some way or another, and you'd searched so many times for new friends who you liked better. How was Danielle not someone who caught your eye? How was she not even your corridor crush? How did you not see her, ever?

"Y/N, she's only in the year above you. I'm really surprised you didn't recognise her at least a little, but okay."

"You have Mrs Stokes too, then?" Danielle continued to conversate, not realising Minji was ready to leave the house.

"Uh, I do." You confirmed, "I chose history for my (SATs/GCSEs)."

"Ah, cool! So did I, actually!"

"O-oh, yeah? You enjoy history."

You too continued talking like you were making up for lost time with a friend. You were. You felt really angry at your school, your friends, your sister, the GODS for not letting you and Danielle meet sooner. It was unfair how hard you tried to actually get along with people you found annoying just so you could have friends, and here was the most perfect being on earth??

"Ahem," Minji cleared her throat, looking sort of irritated and awkward for stepping in, but what did she expect when she hyped up Danielle so much? "We'd better be going, Dani, your brother will be waiting on us. Y/N, I bought food today for you, and I'll be back sometime after twelve. Bye!"

"Yeah, bye," you said, feeling sort of dull again.

They both neared the door to leave, but Danielle stopped by you for another moment. She leant in closer, to mutter something a little more quietly to you. You don't think she'll ever know how much that small moment affected your sanity for the rest of that night, though. It made you wish you got to see her again. Would you?

"When I get back Y/N, we have to get to know each other better. I mean, how have we not seen each other more?"

“p-please, don’t leave me, baby,” your boyfriend, sunoo, begs, his voice breaking as he does. he’s crying, his tears wetting your shirt, arms thrown around you and holding you as close to him as possible. “you can’t go! please, i-i-i can’t breathe without you…”

you sigh, exasperated. you were tired of having to deal with this every time you went out without him. no, more accurately, tried to go out. you loved his clinginess at first, and you still do, but then it got to the point he just stopped you from going pretty much anywhere, holding onto you with all his might, repeating how much he needed you to no end, sobbing louder whenever you’d take one more step away from him towards the door.

the scenario would always have the same ending: you’d feel sorry for him, knowing how dependent he was on you, and you’d stay, spending what was supposed to be your alone time in his arms.

but you didn’t want to give in this time.

“nunu, it’s been almost two months since i’ve been out with my friends,” you say softly, trying to calm him down by stroking his back, “i can’t keep doing this for you…what if i’m not there one day? what will you do?”

he’s crying harder, knees giving way so he’s on the floor. he stares up at you with his big watery eyes you find so hard to resist, cheeks puffy and red. “s-so you’re going to leave me one day?” he sputters, trembling.

your heart pangs at the sight, but you have to be firm. you have to stand up for yourself and do something for once. as much as you adore him, you’ve already given up so much to be there for him in his dramatic emotional moments. you don’t blame him for them, but it’s been taking a toll on you more than you realized. it wasn’t until your friends pointed out that you rarely text them anymore and that you haven’t hung out with them for so long that the exhaustion hit you.

“no, i‘m not, and i won’t, okay? but my friends need me this time, and i want to have some time for myself without you just for a little bit. please, nunu. you have to understand—”

“b-but i need you! what about m-me?” he interrupts, his voice desperate, his hands latching onto your arm, tugging you closer. his fingernails dig into your skin with a fevered desperation, but not enough to draw blood, thankfully. he pleads, jutting out his lower lip in a pout.

from the way it’s going, the ending you’re familiar with seems inevitable, you can tell. he isn’t listening to you properly, and you’re definitely going to be late to your friends’ gathering at this rate, so you make a quick decision.

“sunoo…i love you, but i’m really sorry. we can talk more later, okay? i’ll be back in a few hours.”

as quickly as you can, you shake off his grip gently and leave your apartment without waiting for another word, scurrying down the hall to the stairs. surprisingly when you look over your shoulder, that door stays shut. you furrow your brow, your resolve to go crumbling slightly, but you shake your head. he must’ve given up now that you went on your way.

but you can’t stop thinking about him.

it’s not that you don’t like hanging out with your friends. it feels good to see them again after so long, but the dreading worry in your chest only increases when your phone doesn’t go off at all. he usually would spam your phone with texts and calls whenever you’d be apart…well, before he attached himself to your hip for the past two months. you would never go five minutes without his name flashing on the screen, but here you are, a whole forty minutes later since you left him behind, met with nothing but radio silence.

“hey, what’s wrong?” one of your friends asks, nudging you with their elbow.

you offer a wry smile of reassurance as you pull out your phone. you send a text to sunoo asking if he’s okay, hoping you’d get an immediate response like you always would. but there’s nothing either, so you call him, once, twice, and three times should’ve done the trick, but when you receive the automated message again, you start to panic.

have you made a terrible mistake?

your thoughts run wild. your boyfriend can’t seem to function well without you, you know that from how much he clings to you, how scared he always is that you‘d leave him, how tightly he squeezes your hand when you go out in public together. guilt starts to eat away at you as your mind flashes back to those big adorable eyes, tears spilling endlessly as they pleaded with you, to the quivering of his lips. what if something happened to him while you were gone? you’ve never left him alone before like this; more accurately, it was him who never left you alone, but all the same, you worry for him, you really do.

you love him so much, how could you not? even if he could be a little much sometimes, it isn’t his fault, right? he’s always so selfless and sweet, going above and beyond for you, never blaming you for your faults, no matter how bad. you call him once more, but to no avail. you bite your lip as you zone out on your friends’ conversation and watch the time tick on the clock at the shop, hesitant on what to do.

but sunoo knows what you’ll do. he always does.

still, when he catches sight of you at the bedroom doorway, breathing heavily from having rushed home, regret and worry written all over your face, he’s absolutely ecstatic inside. you bring his trembling form in your arms, tears of your own dripping onto his shirt, an avalanche of apologies spilling from your lips for having left him by himself, promising to never leave his side again. seeing you cry for him like this, to love and think about him so much that you’d abandon those worthless longtime friends of yours for him, he can’t help but love you more for how perfect you are.

after all, unlike his friends, he doesn’t have to use real chains to make you stay.

Sooooo I'm at the end of this lil series here. Not sure what I'll do next since this is the first continuous thing I've done here. Sorry for not updating in a while, last couple days of school had me 💀 but yeah... SO GIVE IT UP FOR NISHIMURA RIKI EVERYONE WHOOO! Maknae 😎 let's get to it >>>

And, after searching through wind and rain, we're at Ni-ki 🤧 harrah!

Ni-ki is the youngest of Enhypen so

But also, angry, sad, insecure, jealous

Ni-ki was able to get some free time in his schedule after working so very hard to get all the things out of the way

Let's say, if you live with your parents, or a friend or wtvr, they were out for the night

You were home alone, or so he thought...

You and Riki had been together for prolly a month or two, and he would never accuse you of cheating on him and it would take some hard proof to convince him you were 😒

Ni-ki hadn't texted you in advance to surprise you, with a cheeky smile already in his excited face

He was imagining what your shocked expression would be like as he opened your door sneakily

Not only his face, but his shoulders, his breath, his eyes, his heart 💔

Everything in the world that he treasured just sunk into the ground when his eyes landed on both you and ✨Bran✨ sitting on your couch together, writing notes from a textbook

What was this utter MADNESS 😫

Ni-ki is flabbergasted, dumbfounded, gobsmacked, confused.com 😵

Maybe he felt so stupid and upset because he expected to come to your house, see you working hard, so he could brighten up your evening by cuddling with and helping you out 😍 #domestic

THIS GUY JUST HAD TO HAVE YOU THIS EXACT SAME EVENING, HM? 👺

Ni-ki had stayed silent in shock, and both you and ✨Bran✨ looked up in worry and confusion

Only to see Ni-ki

"Oh, hey man, I've seen you on TV-"

"Uhm, hi jagi" Ni-ki interrupted the boy as he just stated at you with some sort of betrayal, just a tad 😿

You smiled knowingly, and apologetically, and allowed Ni-ki to lead you to your bedroom, away

You excused yourself, to which ✨Bran✨ just smiled and nodded

Once alone... :

"Hey, ai, I didn't know I'd be seeing you today. I'm real happy to see you," you greeted warmly, using the Japanese term ai meaning love. 💖

Ni-ki didn't look angry

The times you'd pictured Ni-ki jealous in any way, which wasn't often and was hard to imagine, you pictured it more mad and enraged

But he just looked hurt. Small. Like you'd left your puppy in the rain and here he was begging you to take him back

As for Ni-ki, his chest was hurting and the alarms were going off in his head

His kid brain made him wonder to himself if this meant the worst: you were leaving him 😭😣 NO RIKI NO IT'S NOT TRUE

Not that he thought you had the intention to do so, but he felt as though you were too close to this friend of yours for it to not jeopardise your relationship

This was a young boy in love. Dealing with adult emotions. Thinking of stupid thoughts that made his brain PANIC 💭

That's why he was SO FRANTIC and that desperate that he dropped all of his pride and just

Hugged your legs

It started with your upper body like normal, but he slid down as he began crying at the sudden shed of his strong exterior

"R-riki?"

You knew why he was hurt right now, but you didn't think this would be the outcome

"J-Jagiya..." Ni-ki sniffed as his tears soaked into your clothed thighs, "who is he? Why is he here with you?" 🥺🥺

You tried to remain calm and be the adult between both of you in this intense moment

"Riki-ah, what does it look like, baby? We were just studying. I swear. Him being a boy doesn't mean anything to me," you assured him

"and honestly," you whispered, intending for your friend not to hear, "I think ✨Bran✨ has a crush in my brother."

This continues and you slowly get Riki to rise from his knees so you could talk about this properly 😌

how he had overreacted and made assumptions too quickly and too irrationally

You guys made boundaries for future reference, and you guys end up in your room, on the bed, fast asleep after fiddling with Riki's hair and ears

Bless ✨Bran✨, when he walked in to make sure things were okay, he wasn't sure if he was supposed to wake you guys up or just leave smh

Sunoo finds that hilarious, because

And why is he this significant? Why is he worth replying to when you're already talking to your wonderful, adorable, caring, handsome, gorgeous, helpful, idol boyfie?????

Sunoo is pursing his lips with sass, but keeps quiet as he continues to fold blankets (idk, I never clean shit, so)

When you put the phone down, he doesn't look up at you but waits for you to talk to him first

Yes he loves winning over your undivided attention, but he also wanted to be petty for a moment before diving into it

"Sorry, Sun..." you say sheepishly, putting your phone into your little handbag as if you're... About to go somewhere?

He looks up "What, jagi? Who was that?"

You grimace, but don't stop packing your essentials into your bag

"That was my friend ✨Brayden✨. He's asking me to help decorate his house - he's just moved into the area, and I did promise to help out. Don't continue doing this stuff, I'll do it with you when I get back, it's not fair for you to do it by yourself."

CUTENESS ACTIVATED 👊

He clutches into the fluffy blanket with big eyes. Bonus points if the blanket is cute and pink

You tilt your head in slightly frustration, bc this makes you feel even more guilty, but it would be worse to just not help your friend after you offered, surely 🤷‍♀️

"Sorry babe. I'll be as quick as I can - he wants some help with painting the guest bedroom for today, so it shouldn't take long."

"But any time without you feels like forever" He whines, knowing his aegyo beats the cringe he's exerting 🥺

"I know, but I have to leave. Just chill out for a while"

You try to make it sound breezy, hoping to influence him into not thinking it would take long

But that only pushes him further, when you begin to head for the door

This time he follows you like a lost puppy

His arms interlock around your torso to stop you from catching the door, and he mumbles small sweet nothings to convince you to stay with him

Ngl, very light guilt tripping involved, but we all do that

He rocks you both around, and makes sure your attention is on him when he waddles you both back to the bedroom

"The members will be back soon. Do you want to make them happy, or Nathan?"

"It's ✨Bra-"

"I know."

The little sass is seeping out, and he covers up the snarkiness and disrespect towards your friend by planting little fluttery kisses on your arms

"Pleeeeease. I can't stay here without you. I miss having you near me."

You find it Lowkey cute but in an irritating way ❤️ boyfriend Sunoo needs attention, and you aren't opposed to giving it to him

"Aw, you're so dramatic. But what about-"

"✨Brayden✨ has two arms, he can do it himself,, babe. Don't make his problems your own."

You both end up watching Frozen 1 and 2 in the unfinished bedroom, cuddled up in that fluffy blanket that was never folded properly 😔

That's right. The main character is the blanket.

But he didn't get the chance as he saw you were in danger of slipping and falling and hurting yourself

Sunghoon was already jealous for a few reasons:

Reason No. 2, Hoon thought HE was the only ice-skating professional you knew.

Reasom No. 3, he caught you when Hoon didn't.

Reason No. 4, ✨Brandt✨ had his arms wrapped around you.

Reason No. 5, WHY DID HE HAVE HIS ARMS WRAPPED AROUND YOU?

Boy has a death wish, and Sunghoon was more than willing to fulfil it for a moment

But he decided to observe for a moment first, just to see what was going on

"Hey! Damn, Y/N, I haven't seen you in ages." The guy said, pulling you into a hug. One that wasn't approved of by Sunghoon, your watchful boyfie

"IKR? What has it been, a year-?"

Biting lips, furrowing eyebrows, slamming your hands down when you make a wrong move 😤

You feel Jake snake his arms around your waist, but you ignore it as you're focused on your game for the moment

He then presses a kiss into your hair, but you don't react. Not to upset him ofc 😢 why would you do that? It was just because you were busy

But then he peppers little kisses along your jawline, closer to your face from behind and you can't just ignore him

You literally freeze 🥶 and stop paying attention to the game and -

"YES! I saw you were distracted and - ah! Won!" ✨Brantley✨ punched his fists in the air giddilt

You sulked. You weren't mad at your friend, ofc, but you were pissed with your boyfriend. Sure, you don't see him every minute of the day, but you hadn't seen your friend in weeks!! 😑

"Jake" you folded your arms, turning to face him with a stern voice

His imaginary tail stops wagging hopefully, and his imaginary dog ears stick to his head in guilt 😣

Basically, he tried to apologise but -

You wanted to have a light-hearted evening of fun. Couldn't Jake let you play a game with your friend for a few minutes at least? He'd have to make it up to you.

You just leave the arcade in a bit of a spiteful way, but it was understandable why

Jake seemed to think the only way to get your attention was through kisses. WELL! You weren't that easy 💅 slay queen

He does the K-Drama thing and runs after you in the rainy night

You stay facing away from him, but he just talks to you from behind, not letting go of your wrist from fear that you'd walk away again

"I... I was looking forward to a nice evening with you after work. I always do, you know? But I guess I just want you to myself a lot of the time. You don't have to come back inside. You can go home. But not without me. I can't imagine you being mad at me without me being there to try and fix - "
