It’s been four months since nicho did what he did but you still find yourself looking toward the staircase and you hated it you hated that you did it every morning without even thinking about it your eyes would drift toward the place where you used to sit together between classes and sometimes you could almost convince yourself that if you looked quickly enough you'd see him there again
black hoodie messy hair and the stupid little smile hed give you whenever you caught him staring but you never did the staircase stayed empty and his usual spot next to you in class was vacant for a while then eventually taken up by someone else and the sight of someone else with the same hoodie and messy hair made your heart skip a beat and for a second you thought maybe it’s him but it wasn’t and it never would be
you told yourself you'd stopped waiting months ago but deep inside (ayo??) you knew you hadn’t every time you tried to remember his face it became more and more blurred like photograph left out in the rain and every day every second you forgot something the exact sound of his voice

There’s a heavy ache in Juhoon’s heart. It’s silent but loud when it shows. It’s unbearable every time he sees you.
You’re smiling at someone else. You’re smiling but it doesn’t reach your eyes. Why are you hurting yourself? Why do you choose to stay with someone who keeps hurting you? He’s right here. He even said it himself: you can always come to him if you need someone to talk to.
He said that last summer, so why aren’t you talking to him? It’s painfully obvious to the boy that you need it. So can’t you just reach out to him one more time? It hurts him to see how drained you look. In the hallways he always sees you with a frown, head hanging low, as you blast music in your ears. Whatever sad songs on that playlist of yours.
It hurts. You don’t even notice his presence sometimes. Your eyes well up with tears and then they die down. Things aren’t like they used to be and there’s only a few months difference. It sucks to see you in such a state.
A state he can’t even help you escape. He wants to be your escape. He wants you to know that he’ll always be your escape. It’s been a few months but he still isn’t over you. Yeah, maybe he tried talking to other girls. Yeah, he might’ve mentioned them to you as well. There was a time where you warned him about one, but he didn’t care. His friend did too, but he didn’t care.
It wasn’t until after he realized he didn’t care because he didn’t truly like her like he liked you.
Like he likes you.
Yeah, the party he held that you attended was just him drunk and crashing out over his past heartbreak… but to be honest, seeing you get together with another guy might’ve hurt him even more. He wanted it to be you. He wanted it to be you in every other universe.
