Week 8
Through the weeks of this course I have realized a lot about the time and commitment its takes to run and grow a social media page. I believe that the biggest challenges my clients will face will be planning and understanding the audience. My client has done very well with community engagement and making sure that posts are high quality and engaging. When it comes down to planning it really plays a factor into time and resources. My clients are a husband and wife duo who run the business and manage the social media pages on their own. While doing this they also try to spend as much time with their children as they can while picking up shifts at the restaurant as well. Through the course we have learned that creating a content plan and calendar is very important. Making sure that content is posted on time and being prepared for a campaign. Along with everything else going on in the lives of my clients, time management and planning is going to be a challenge without a social media team. Understanding your audience in my opinion is one of the biggest factors in marketing on social media. Understanding your audience not only helps you decide what content to post but also when itās best to post. Taking the time to do research and understand the audience of the restaurant also plays into time management and planning. My client has the goal to further understanding of the audience but does not have the time or resources to properly achieve that goal at this time. I believe as time goes on and my client is able to find help to build a social media team or simply have a social media manager separate from Karen alone, these goals will be achieved.Ā
