Family
This past weekend, I traveled home to Pittsburgh for my cousin's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful. She looked absolutely beautiful. There was so much love in the room. Being that I live in Chicago now, and very rarely have some extra cash lying around, I only get home MAYBE twice a year if I'm lucky. These trips home are always rejuvenating for me. I come from a big Irish family (when I say big, I mean BIG) that always knows how to have a good time. Coming home and spending time with everyone, really makes me realize how much I miss having my family around. They are an incredible support system for me. It's incredibly difficult at times to be so far away from them. This weekend was slightly different for me. As the whole Enders family flooded the dance floor, I looked around and really for the first time realized how grown up everyone was getting. Getting married, having babies, graduating college, starting high school, legally old enough to order a beer at the bar (I think this one gets me more than the others) It's strange really. These are the people I have grown up. We've celebrated holidays and birthdays together. Vacationed together. Laughed together, cried together. This is my family. This weekend really made me appreciate how lucky I am to have them. The older we get, the closer we all seem to become. The bond we all have never seems to waiver. What can I say? I'm a lucky girl. I've got the best family in the world!
