Experimental shoots purely for self study influenced by my interest and prior knowledge of light painting. Neon, vivid and dark tones in repeated patterns which made illusions and at times new shapes. This was caused by shooting at low shutter speed in dark light conditions and moving the camera around as if painting with a brush (at times zooming in and out with the lens for more diverse numbers of strokes and change in their line type - curved lines). The subject matter were any objects that possessed a coloured lighting such as: street lights, light covered machines and led clocks.

The following is a current project that has been developing as part of my coursework for my A-Level course - ‘Personal Investigation’. Choosing to focus on distortion portraiture I experimented with techniques during shooting which were notably shutter speed settings - I refined this and it became my sole scrutiny. With various influences to seek to investigate this area my goals and style changed quite throughout. With this I want to create a series of photographs that feel immersive and have potential to engage with the viewer from composition, element of line and contextual ideas from the locations and posing.
