Several Moderators on our team have sent Contributors links to a survey detailing a few structural changes, where you will get to choose which Volume (AU or Canon) to participate in, sign up as a Comic Artist, and give your thoughts on everything!
Once you have completed the survey, over the next couple of days, you will be DMed an invite link to the Hansry Fluff Zine Discord Server! All Contributors who chose to volunteer as Moderators will be sent the Moderators Application as well. Hooray!!
If you have NOT completed the survey yet, you have ONE WEEK FROM TODAY (July 10th, 2026 to July 17th, 2026) to do so before we begin the next steps of the zine!

Hi everybody! THANK YOU for the MASSIVE amount of interest in the Hansry Fluff Zine. Due to this, over the past few days, our Moderators team has brainstormed some changes to give everyone a chance to participate.
Moderator Applications are being reopened! Stay tuned for Moderator Spotlights for our pre-existing Moderators, and a separate post with a link to the application! The amount of Moderators on board greatly affects our timeline for behind-the-scenes work, which you can read more about below.
All Contributor applicants will soon be DMed a link to a survey to give their thoughts on things. Once all applicants have been DMed, we will make a post letting you know that you have one week to respond! After your responses, Discord invites will finally be sent out!
The team would like to clarify that the Hansry Fluff Zine will NOT be as intensive as many other zines out there. The goal of this zine is to be similar to a club to make friends, and to enjoy creating cool art together. Therefore, the zine will NOT be as polished or as highly professional. This is a laid-back, low-stakes environment! Not everyone who applied may want to be associated with this concept, which is totally understandable. There will be a space on the survey to choose to opt out.
We are splitting the Hansry Fluff Zine into TWO VOLUMES: Canon/Volume One and AU/Volume Two! Canon/Volume One will focus on fanworks centered around the events within KCD1 and KCD2. AU/Volume Two will contain fanworks focusing on major divergences from the games, such as fem!Hansry or Modern AUs. Work on AU/Volume Two will start AFTER Canon/Volume One is complete, in order to lighten the workload for Moderators, and to give Contributors more time to brainstorm. However, all Contributors will be invited into the Discord at the same time to start chatting and planning collaborations!
The proofreading phase of Canon/Volume One has been extended! After the final deadline for project submission has been reached, three more weeks of time are being added for Moderators to proofread and review final submissions, for a total of four weeks overall. This means that Canon/Volume One of the Hansry Fluff Zine will now release in mid-December! AU/Volume Two of the Hansry Fluff Zine will begin work in December, with a final deadline in April. (More information to come about AU/Volume Two's timeline at a later date!)
Comic Artists will have a section to apply as such on the survey! If Visual Art applicants would like to choose Comic Art as your second choice, or are still A-OK with your previously selected roles, there are buttons for this, too! Comic Art applicants: please sure to have a couple examples of completed comic pages!
The word count limit for Writing has been shortened to 5,000 words! This is to balance the page ratio of Writing to Visual Art, and to lighten the workload for Writing Moderators. If this limit does not work for Writing applicants, there is an option to say so on the survey.
As the Head Mod of the Hansry Fluff Zine, I (@sourdough-of-skalitz), REALLY appreciate everyone's patience in this time of growing pains for the zine. I know this was unexpected and more than a little confusing, and I seriously apologize deeply for the upheaval. I'm very thankful and in awe to have such a supportive group of Moderators and for just how many incredibly talented people are interested in participating. ❤️⚔️

Hi, thank you for your question!! Explanations for the Moderator roles can be found in our FAQ. Here's a run-down under the cut:
Writing Mod:
In charge of reading the work of Writing Contributors, reviewing pieces, and proofreading.
Visual Art Mod:
In charge of helping Visual Artist Contributors with anything needed, including suggesting revisions.
Digital Merch Mod:
Helps Digital Merch Contributors with anything needed, including suggesting revisions.
Zine Graphics Mod:
In charge of creating graphics for the zine final product, such as a template for an “Artists Included in the Zine!” page.
Zine Formatting Mod:
Will collate everything into the zine final product (a PDF and a zipped file for Digital Merch) and prepare it for posting.
Twitter Account Mod:
Will help run the Hansry Fluff Zine Twitter, including posting (such as Contributor Spotlights and the zine release Itch.io link) on specific dates, responding to other accounts in DMs, QRTs, and replies, following the Twitter accounts of the Moderation Team, and retweeting Contributors’ Hansry Fluff Zine Sneak Peeks.
Tumblr Account Mod:
Will help run the Hansry Fluff Zine Tumblr, including posting (such as Contributor Spotlights and the zine release Itch link) on specific dates, responding to other accounts in DMs, replies, and Asks, following the Tumblr accounts of the Moderation Team, and reblogging Contributors’ zine Sneak Peeks.
Bluesky Mod:
Will help run the Hansry Fluff Zine Bluesky, including posting (such as Contributor Spotlights and the zine release Itch link) on specific dates, responding to other accounts in DMs, QRTs, and replies, following the Bluesky accounts of the Moderation Team, and resharing Contributor’s zine Sneak Peeks.
Graphic Art Creator:
Will be expected to create graphics for public announcements (such as on the day the zine comes out, a countdown to when the zine comes out, and Contributor and Moderator Spotlights).
General Mod:
As well as being a substitute problem-solver, a General Mod must help oversee the Zine Discord and give their input on zine problems with the Moderation Team.
