“You could start a TikTok?” Erika suggested, her nose immediately wrinkling once the words were uttered however. “No, never mind. Forget I suggested that, it’s far too cringe-worthy of an idea. But…” she paused, setting the Tupperware of baked goods she’d brought with on the counter in front of him. “Baking or cooking is usually a good way to distract yourself from boredom. Here, try these. I made cake pops – or at least tried to. They were a lot harder than I thought they would be.”

Start a... tic-tac? Like the candy?” Hans questioned his daughter. He was terrible at keeping up with the latest apps and trends, it really did make him feel old. “If it’s cringe worthy for you, I have to try it then, right? It is my job to embarrass my daughter, you know.” He said as he nudged her. Hans looked down at the yummy looking desserts that were now sitting in front of him. “Yeah, unfortunately I am not sure I’d be good at cooking or baking. I usually leave it to other people to cook for me.” He said to her before grabbing a cake pop and taking a bite. “Erika..” He started, amazed at his daughter’s baking ability. “These are amazing. You are going to have to start making them for me all of the time now.” Hans said he took another bite.

He snorted. “Thanks for adding to my ever-growing list of why I’m not planning on ever getting married.” Alex returned his father’s smirk, sitting beside him. “Retirement’s really that bad, huh? Because I was this close to dropping out of law school.” He looked back at the other man, and before he could say anything, Alex added a quick, “I’m kidding. Promise.”

“Aw, come on. It’s really not that bad.” He said to him, letting out a small laugh. “I’m sure one day you’ll fall in love with someone and will instantly change your mind about marriage.” It had happened to him with Elsa for sure. “It can get pretty boring..” Hans began to say before being cut off and his mouth instantly falling open. He was just about to start a long lecture as to why school was important and list the reasons why he shouldn’t drop out. Luckily Alex stopped him in time and Hans let out a sigh of relief. “You better be kidding, Alex.” He told him.

“You could come out of retirement,” Alex started, knowing his father had no idea he was behind him. He smirked when he caught his gaze and shook his head, “I knew you sitting around doing nothing would be hell for you.”

When hearing a familiar voice, Hans couldn’t help but smirk as he looked at his son. “Great idea. Only, I told your mother I would do this retirement thing with her and I can’t go back on my word.” He said with a small huff. “No matter how bored I feel throughout the day. So, you were definitely right.”

“This whole being retired thing is really starting to get to me.” Hans said out loud with a small sigh. “I need some ideas of what to do to keep myself busy. New hobbies, new things do with my wife, hell, even a part time job somewhere would be great.” He said to the person who was next to him, looking for any kind of recommendations.
