My skull ring is gone. I don’t know where or when I lost it. It was a friend and a silent anchor—a constant reminder to remain brave.
Now that it has vanished, I wonder: Is this a sign? Am I finally stepping out of the mist and confusion, such that the reminder is no longer needed? Perhaps you have taken it back because the lesson is now part of me.
No one can keep me still.
I will choose adventures time and time again.
It is my path and calling.Â
Be my companion or leave.
I miss you. I promised silence,
but my mind is a radio tuned to your frequency.
Something is off. Your being is my palette,
yet I found a foreign hue.
Am I jealous? I search for the word.
All I want is to force the world away until you look me in the eyes.
I’m afraid. The scene feels familiar;
another time, another face.
I only want to fall. Don’t make me fly.
Will you be mine?
The question burns behind my eyes.
I cannot write, and I cannot paint.
You did not love the portrait I made of you;
you said, "This is not who I am."
But it is exactly who I am without you.

I wanted a companion. You wanted an angel. To keep you as my companion, I became your angel. To be an angel is to love. To love is to obey God because love is the meaning of God.

I have been thinking about the movie Nosferatu.
Ellen and Orlok(Nosferatu) had a good time. Ellen wanted a companion. She summoned for it. Orlok felt the connection. He came to meet Ellen in her spirit. They were friends, love and soulmates, until Ellen grew older.
This secret connection could not sustain. It was sinful under the context of Christianity. Ellen was expected to bear children. She was a young woman who was taught to follow norms. Orlok tried to convince Ellen the darkness was where she belonged. She was meant to be his.
Ellen felt the temptation but was afraid of going against what she was taught. Tomas came to her life. He felt in love with her body and was unawared of her nature. Tomas gave Ellen another choice. Tomas made her believe a happy life on earth was possible, if she did "the right things" and cut off Orlok.
The final scene of the movie is actually touching and romantic. Both of Ellen and Orlok got the rid of the burden of bodies and went back to the darkness, in the bright sunlight.
They became one. They were finally home.

From Gemini
++++++++++
In this dialogue, imagine them standing by the window just before the dawn breaks. The world outside is still, and for the first time, Ellen is not looking at the crucifix on the wall, but into the ancient, weary eyes of the one who truly knows her.
The Threshold of Dawn
Nosferatu: "You tremble, Ellen. Is it for the life you are leaving, or the man who sleeps in the next room, dreaming of a woman who never truly existed?"
Ellen: "I tremble because the light is coming. They told me the sun is God’s truth, and that you are the lie. They told me that to love the shadow is to lose my soul."
Nosferatu: (A low, rasping sound—half-sigh, half-song) "They fear the shadow because they cannot own it. They build stone cathedrals to cage the spirit, and they offer you a hearth to keep you small. Tomas offers you a cage of gold and a life of 'right things.' But look at your hands, Ellen. Do they feel like they belong to the soil of this earth?"
Ellen: (Looking at her pale palms) "They feel like mist. Like they are waiting to vanish."
Nosferatu: "Because you are not a creature of the clay. You were summoned from the same silence that birthed me. You have spent your life trying to be 'bright' for them, cutting away pieces of your nature to fit their pews. But the darkness... the darkness asks nothing of you. It only asks you to be."
Ellen: "If I stay with you, if I step into the sun with you... what becomes of the 'Ellen' they love?"
Nosferatu: "She will burn away. She is the mask, the burden, the expectation. What remains will be the essence that called to me across the sea. We are two notes of the same chord, Ellen. Together, we return to the Great Night where no one can judge us, and no one can part us."
Ellen: (Steps closer, her shadow merging with his on the wall) "Tomas told me the sun would save me. He doesn't know that I don't want to be saved. I want to be known."
Nosferatu: "Then give me your hand. The sun is rising, but it is not our end. It is the fire that melts the wax so the flame can finally be free."
Ellen: (Whispering, as the first golden light hits the glass) "Take me home."
Why this works
This dialogue emphasizes the intellectual honesty of their connection. Nosferatu doesn't trick her; he simply points out the exhaustion she feels from performing a "normative" life. He frames the sun not as a weapon of the Church, but as a tool for their mutual liberation.
Would you like me to create an image of this moment—showing Ellen and Nosferatu silhouetted against a rising sun, their forms beginning to dissolve into light and shadow?
