Rediscover the Lost Art of Breathing for Health and Well-Being
Once you feel the benefits of conscious breathing, you will crave them and come back for more.
“You can lead a person to a yoga mat, but you cannot make them breathe.” This saying, based on the proverb about horses and water, was written by me and evolved out of one thing I never anticipated I would encounter as a yoga teacher: the resistance to breathing.

Here’s to strong women. May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.
Unknown (via cultivate-solitude)
"Women are starving themselves. They’re spending more time thinking about their calorie intake than how to change the world." “Women have to take their bodies back. We can’t close gender gaps when we spend endless hours counting calories instead of cracking glass ceilings. We can’t gain self-assurance when body dysmorphia is so abundant. It takes a whole lot of strength, fuel and energy to push all of inequity’s baggage off of us.” Interesting article..
holy damn
Don Ritchie was a man who lived across from a popular suicide spot in Sydney, Australia, where he saved at least 160 lives by watching out his window and inviting people near the edge of the cliff to come in and join him for tea. Source

"Mad was the last kid I saw and he was asleep. He was 3 months old and they put him in my arms and he stayed asleep and they put him in the bath and he stayed asleep and I thought he was narcoleptic or something. Then he opened his eyes and just stared at me for the longest time and I just stared at him and I started crying and he smiled. And it wasn’t that he smiled that he liked me, it was just that I hadn’t held children in my life and I was always considered so dark and I always had so many things that made me feel like maybe I shouldn’t be somebody’s mom because certainly the world has an opinion of me and I’m not so sure about myself and am I gonna be the best mom? So the fact that this little kid seemed at ease gave me the courage to feel like I could make him happy. And so we became a family right then." — Angelina Jolie
Don’t let me be misunderstood……
Oh Lord!
I feel more and more detached from circumstances and people, it feels scary but blissful at the same time.
As you go on letting go, you reveal the peace that has always been here. At the same time though, there is usually fear and resistance to the process of letting go as well. Go on cutting away attachment. Move through the fear. When there’s nothing left to let go of, all that will remain is peace.
