headcanons of Mozart being really good at baking and Salieri finding out about it (just for contrast of the angst 🥺👉👈)
I think that before finding out, Salieri would have been offered Mozart's sweets quite a few times. He refused mostly because he didn't want to get too involved (after all, why would Mozart insist on giving him sweets?) and when it finally happens, it's by complete accident.
Salieri merely got offered a few sweets by Master on a random, boring day, and he accepted it. To Salieri's surprise (and Mozart delight), he just loved it. Of course, he mostly kept his composure, and after asking who made the sweets, Master just keeps it a secret. He is a bit annoyed, but he trusts that they aren't poisoned or anything of the sort.
In the end, these sweets end up being kind of a fun tradition between Salieri and Master, where Salieri gets offered good food and Master just giggles seeing how much he likes them.
Of course, this also means that Master is reporting everything to Mozart, who is 100% delighted by the fact that Salieri just adores his sweets. Whenever Master reports back, Mozart just asks for more and more details about the whole thing: how did he look when taking the first bite? any feedback? what should I do next?
This goes on as a fun game for every part involved until one day Salieri unfortunately walks int the kitchen at the wrong time, and Mozart is there, making some very familiar-looking sweets.
At first, Salieri gets mad, thinking that Mozart is messing up the sweets of the anonymous baker... and then Master comes in, and has to explain that it was Mozart the entire time.
Salieri is more shocked than mad. Mozart is just amused.
Salieri now only accepts Mozart's sweets when it's made clear that it was made by him, and honestly, Mozart kind of loves now being able to join their little snack time.
I'm suffering from Cancer/As The World Caves In mashup brainrot followed by stuck in Mozart L'opéra Rock fandom, so can you do Salieri taking care and sticking around with a sick and slowly dying Amadeus while the world is about to end if that's okay?
Word count: ~600
Salieri continued his fool’s errand, changing the already-too-warm cloth on Amadeus’s forehead, dipping it again in the bowl of cold water beside the bed, the tip of his fingers feeling numb from the constant contact.
Clicking his tongue as a stray drop of water ran into his sleeve, Salieri watched as Amadeus let out a low groan from the substitution, but with no other noteworthy reaction, with his eyes still firmly closed, he let out a sigh, half of worry and half of annoyance as the watched the body in front of him struggle to breathe.
Can’t even crack a joke, huh?
He couldn’t even blame Amadeus. As always, he was the one that was having a normal reaction to the end of the world. Salieri, like the shadow that he was, was doing just fine as the blinding, sterile white light from the outside inundated the room, not letting Amadeus get some proper shut-eye.
As his leg muscles started to ache, and with little to contribute sitting by Amadeus bed, Salieri got up, morbidly curious to see the state of the world outside.
It wasn’t surprising in the least to see that it was still like it always was. Nothingness, eternal white, unbreaking white, madness-indulcing white where a lush garden once was, eternal whiteness where a baby-blue sky should have been and eternal whiteness in the horizon where the picturesque mountains once resided in their millions-of years place of rest.
But it was nothing now.
And said nothing was starting to eat away at the windows' foundation.
Perhaps in a world where they could fight back said presence, Salieri would take arms and be offended at the world trying to take him away before he could repent. But as of that moment, what else to feel other than apathy?
There was no more Chaldea. There were no more servants to fight with. There was no more master. What is the point of struggling if the claws of destiny have already sliced your throat?
Suddenly, the noise of sheets falling to the ground made him snap his head back, the sickly figure of Amadeus sitting up on the bed almost haunting, with the lighting only exacerbating his paleness.
“Salieri…?” Amadeus asked, his voice low and using a hand to cover his eyes from the light.
“Amadeus. You finally have awoken.” Saliei responded dryly as he made his way back to the chair, getting on the same eye level as Amadeus and crossing his arms, waiting for what would be said next.
“...Any good updates?”
His voice had a tinge of hope within it, and Salieri's heart ached knowing that he was about to absolutely crush it.
“It won’t be long before the end.”
Best case scenario, they had a couple of days before being erased, but honestly, at this point, he hoped that the next few hours would be enough. Waiting was agony incarnated.
Amadeus’s face didn’t change as he heard the news, with him nodding before laying down again, closing his eyes and never looking more like a corpse than that moment.
“Salieri.”
“Yes?”
“Can you hold my hand? I’m scared.”
In another life, in another world, Salieri would have laughed at the request. Not only laughed, but mocked it relentlessly, perhaps even making a little fun song to laugh at his enemy.
But as they stayed alone in that room, the last two souls of this white world, he found himself searching for Amadeus’s hand under the covers, carefully intertwining their fingers, glove meeting delicate skin in one last embrace.
in real life, Bartholomew Roberts was known for drinking tea over rum. with that said, what general headcanons do you think he'd have in interacting w/ others who also drink tea (Mori, Holmes?, etc).
While he is a fan of the taste, what would fascinate him the most would be learning about all the little intricacies when it comes to each specific way of serving it in different cultures.
Because of that, he often ends up finding himself in impromptu-long talks about tea with other servants, especially if he sees how they are brewing their own while he walks in the kitchen.
Regardless of when or where such conversations might start, Bartholomew will show genuine interest in what the other person is saying, absorbing all the little tidbits, quirks and facts they explain to him, asking questions and actively participating in some nice back-and-forth. If you ask him a few weeks later, he will be able to remember perfectly what the other person said, and with a few new questions to boot.
He is respectful of others' preferences and isn’t there to argue over tea, but he does appreciate when there is a discussion as much as he appreciates learning about ceremonies. In particular when it comes to places with very different styles of tea, he had a few fun evenings talking about what goes better with which leaf, or simply talking about which overall category is tastier (the fruity kind, more herbal kind, etc).
He often finds himself being gifted tea from his fellow buddies, not out of an official proper gift, but from quick conversations that follow the “You have to try this one out!” route. His collection has grown quite a lot because of that, and his gentleman persona does not allow himself to not give a gift of his own back.
Some say that this little habit of his has increased not only the general traffic of tea inside Chaldea, but has sparked a few new fans of the beverage, be it the staff or the servants.
When he feels like trying something entirely new, however, he often takes a small group to any market he can find access to, and there, they have a nice evening out, buying new teas and enjoying the prospects of future tea parties.
if it's not too much trouble, could I have a short story about Emiya Alter relaxing outside of Chaldea (in a Singularity, a training room simulator, wherever-I'll leave the location up to you)?
Word count: ~780
When Master was in one of those moods, Emiya knew it was better no to argue. Not because he didn’t want to —after all he was being denied his very purpose there— but simply because he already had tried to do so in the past and could tell from experience that doing so was just a waste of time.
“...And here is a tourist guide made by Da Vinci… Oh, I almost forgot! We also stocked the fridge so you don’t need to worry about that… Huh, what else…?”
Emiya sighed seeing Master getting so worked up with his compulsory vacation time. It’s not like he would be doing much other than just waiting around with crossed arms until he could finally go back to the battlefield, so to have Master spend all their energy over it…
He knew it was a waste, but something unfamiliar stirred inside him, not properly named but not entirely unpleasant either.
“And I think that’s all, Emiya!” Master said, their voice full of excitement. “Guess all I have left to say is that you should try to relax and have fun, okay?”
Emiya just followed his Master, giving off a polite nod when he finally departed, the last thing he saw being their smile that hid none of their expectations for his break.
The first thing he noticed from his new location was the abundance of fresh air, a rare commodity in Chaldea's air-conditioner heavy corridors. Nearby, there was the sound of running water, and in the distance, birds sang, hidden in the dense vegetation that surrounded the mansion Emiya was sent to.
Even with all his stoicism, he couldn’t help but let just the tiniest bit of a smirk form on his lips.
“So flashy.”
He entered without knocking, having the theory that even with the size of the mansion he would be the only soul inhibiting it for the next couple of days. It was confirmed pretty quickly, with the light coming from the enormous windows illuminating a clean, well-decorated, but ultimately empty mansion.
Opening the door, he was confronted by a long forgotten silence, so rare back in the headquarters where at least in one room or another there would be the sounds of either shouting, sparring or an explosion coming from the more experiment-curious servants.
Little specks of dust danced in the sun rays as he started to explore the mansion, searching where exactly whoever arranged the place was expecting him to sleep. Eventually, he came across an open door, with a room too recently tidied-up to not be his.
The small luggage he brought was swiftly placed on a nearby table, and not wasting any time, Emiya changed into more comfortable clothing. If he was going to just wait around, might as well do it in the most comfortable way possible.
He threw himself on the bed, putting both arms behind his head, slowly closing his eyes and starting his self-inflicted boredom period until he could start shooting enemies again.
As he tried to take a nap, a small part of his mind had to give it to Master and their arrangements. The room was just the right temperature, with the window bringing natural light that was never overwhelming, giving the entire room a cozy atmosphere. The sounds of nature made the perfect white noise, and Emiya was just starting to fall asleep…
Except that even with the apparently perfect set-up, his eyes just couldn’t stay closed for whatever reason. After 15 minutes of fighting against his own body, Emiya let out a heavy sigh, wondering what in hell he was going to do there.
Just as he was about to head to the kitchen, Da Vinci’s pamphlet caught his attention as its glossy cover reflected some of the light coming from the window.
He had never followed Master's recommendation for vacation spots. A waste of time, he kept saying, a weapon has no use for rest after all, but the weapon was usually able to just sleep until he could return.
If he couldn’t rest, then staying idle was even more wasteful. Taking the pamphlet, he skimmed through the text, accompanied by tiny illustrations of Da Vinci. A bar, an isolated beach, a shopping center, a restaurant…
Emiya still wasn’t sure if he was going to leave the mansion, but he had to admit that reading the guide was entertaining enough, especially the parts where Master had clearly interjected with their own input, the change in writing style too clear not to notice.
Perhaps just this once, it wouldn’t hurt to try going out for a bit. That risotto was looking too good to be true, and at the very least, he would have all that more reason to show master that he didn't need such luxuries.
And if he was proven wrong... Well, then he could always just come drown his pride with a good dinner.
He stepped out of the mansion, the sun shining above him, and with his heart just a tiny bit more open.
thank you so much!! for the merlin attention hcs omg I loved them so much and they cheered me up a lot they were soo good and in character hes my fav so I was very happy! ^^
you are welcome anon! glad to hear that you liked it, merlin is fun to write about!
for the anon that requested emiya alter: do you have any preference over NA or JP sprites? i never knew they ended up using different ones but just in case you have a preference!
anon who made the Salieri request here. your response floored me, and left my heart feeling like fondue. even know, as I'm going through a tough time atm, your story continues to feel endearing. it's great to see Salieri embrace his personal identity and refind his humanity as a result. I myself keep meaning to listen to his operas and your response has really motivated me to do that more. again, thank you so much!
aww anon, thank you so much! I'm glad to hear it made your day even just a little bit better. Salieri is a VERY interesting character in FGO and honestly, I would write him again since there are so many interesting angles you can come.
Hope things get better to you soon, and with Salieri's operas sounding honestly very uplifting, maybe it will help a bit. Good luck anon!
hi! can I ask for headcanons for merlin fgo wanting attention from his s/o? I'd appreciate it thank you!
Merlin wouldn’t try to be sly at all with his attempts: when he wants attention, you will know it right away.
With that being said, he will refuse to outright say “Hey, pay attention to me!”. He knows that you know, you know that he knows that you know, but he wants to go through the more fun route.
After you catch on to his intentions, there is a silent agreement that he will be as annoying as possible, and you will try to pretend not to notice.
He will start in very indirect ways, sometimes simply materializing (or straight up placing) a flower of whatever you are paying attention to. If you are on your computer, suddenly you notice a flower on the monitor, or if you are reading a book, the next page has a pressed flower you are very sure wasn’t there before. When this happens, this means he is nearby, and when you feel like ending the little game early, you just go search for him right then and there.
If this doesn’t work, then he starts going for a slightly more aggressive approach. He will just come into whatever room you are in, trying to pretend he just walked in by chance. He might whistle a bit, and then start talking “to himself”, saying that he is just so bored! Oh, if only he had any companionship at the moment!. At this point you usually can’t contain a little smile, and most of the time you turn to him, asking what he wants.
If nothing else works, this is Merlin’s last resort: he will straight up get snuggly until you cave in. When it comes to this, suddenly you will feel him hugging you from behind, the fragrance of flowers and his warmth enveloping you while he pretends to be very offended you still haven’t looked at him.
After he gives you a kiss from this angle, it means that you won, but honestly, he will lose with a smile if it means he gets to spend some time with you while hearing you laugh about his silly antics.
Hello, I just found out abt your acc through Sigurd's headcanon — and I could say I am in love with your acc already. Thank you.
-☀️👑
aww, thank you so much anon! it's still young, but I'm having fun writing here, it has been a nice little way of warming up =) Thank you for the kind words, don't be afraid to request any character you want!
could I have some headcanons about an S/O taking FGO Salieri on a date...to one of /his/ operas, much to his surprise? thank you so much in advance!
You planned this for months, keeping a secret from Salieri at all costs. While it wasn’t a secret that you two are about to go on a big date, Salieri was left in the dark to where you two were going other than you telling him what would be the best thing to wear to that day. He decided to not press further, in part to not ruin your efforts and in part because he adored that little giddy smile you gave when talking about the date.
When the day finally arrives, you are delighted to see the sparkle of excitement inside his eyes as he sees the opera house. He keeps his composure, but you can basically feel the excitement in his voice as you two wait for it to start.
He grabs your hand, almost unconsciously, as the first notes start playing. He would have been happy to listen to anything, your company and good music being more than enough, but seeing his own music play elicited something much stronger inside him. You simply smiled gently at him as you got comfortable in your seat, ready to enjoy it as much as he will.
He didn’t say a word during the entire thing, but you can just see how engrossed he is, his gaze never once leaving the stage. You made sure to pay attention too, since you are expecting him to make a very in depth-review of it after.
To your surprise, Salieri was suspiciously quiet after it was over, and for a little while you worried if perhaps seeing one of his own operas hit the wrong note.
You ask him if he is ok, but he simply comments that while he doesn’t mind criticizing operas, it feels… weird to talk about Salieri’s opera.
You tell him you don’t mind if he doesn’t want to talk about it, but you also assure him that he doesn’t need to be afraid of criticizing himself.
He ponders a bit on your choice of words, clearly showing some surprise, but settles on being quiet for the moment. Filling in most of the talk yourself, you comment on the opera honestly, and even if he wasn’t revealing much about his own thoughts, you knew he was listening.
Eventually, Salieri starts to talk more, first with just a few “that was good” and “that was fine” here and there, but with your incentive, he starts to open up more, getting more and more technical with his review as time goes on. Even after all you had heard him talk about music, in the middle of his excitement he even started to use some terms you didn’t recognize, but you were too happy to see him talking to interrupt.
Even happier was the moment you noticed he stopped talking about Salieri’s music and started to talk about his music, praising his past self on some aspects, and showing the usual artistic regret over others, telling you about all the things he would change if he composed that today.
In the end, you quietly decided to take Salieri to more of his own operas, both to make him more used to recognizing his own work, and to see that rare energetic mood of his. Not to mention, you are dying to listen to his revisioned work!
