2019 World Championships: All Around Final
People on twitter really are writting multi page exposes because two sentance statements about their fave teams arenāt positive enough, huh.
People who get Kyla Ross every year arenāt real and donāt let twitter tell you otherwise.
Me whenever I see a female gymnast with her hair down
Watching the names of rural towns all over the south and east coast come on to trending lists. Shitās fucked, stay safe.
can't wait to get so many hate anons for this but it's definitely not okay of daniel to post a selfie with australian wild life in the background without acknowledging that the rest of it, the wildlife, his whole ass country is literally up in flames. his countrymen who are fighting the fires for a month now are exhausted, barely getting any sleep, food or water, many are dying but it's mostly the animals suffering. a firefighter said that the worst thing was hearing the koalas scream as they were literally burnt to death. how can he stay silent on this shit. it literally doesn't take much to link a goddamn donation page. the fact that he is so silent about it makes me wonder what his opinion on climate change even is. because of the consequences his country is burning to ashes and no matter how proud he is to wear their flag he is currently letting down his country. idc if you tell me that i am being dramatic about this because an entire continent burning up and having some of the highest temperatures in their history is something that is dramatic and deserves someone with a voice to speak out about it.
Itās not that simple. Thereās so much more happening in the political and social discussions regarding the worsening of the fire seasons in Australia.Ā I genuinely donāt think a global call-to-action social media post is the answer, or helpful. I think this is an internal Australian discussion about wildlife/habitat conservation, the funding of the volunteer fire forces, our dependence on coal and the switch to renewable power. The Australian public I think is fairly rational about most of these points, but how this plays within our current political/media/lobbying landscape is nuanced and difficult ...
Also if I remember correctly he owns rural property in WA. It thatās the case Iād bet my life on him contributing in some way to the local volunteer fire force, itās at the very least likely that he makes donations and/or has family and friends that are volunteers.
Also more useless thoughts;
In the catastrophe of the Black Saturday Bushfires we lost 200 people within the span of a couple of days. They were smaller, fast moving, truly horrific fires throughout Victoria. It was a disaster with an immediate response from the public, the government and media. Horrific as they were, the conditions did get better and they were contained within a week or so.
The current fires theyāve burned for weeks, slowly getting bigger, slowly taking homes and lives. Theyāve been absolutely relentless and it doesnāt look like the conditions are going to improve suddenly or significantly.
The narrative around the fires has also been building slowly. Itās becoming harder to frame them as a one time event. Itās becoming very clear that this will be the reality of Australiaās fire season for the foreseeable future and that whatever our political or climate beliefs may be, our response to these fires is going to have to be long-term.
tldr; I imagine itās hard to do all that justice in a social media post.

This leo was actually unironically beautiful and fun. Also less controversially, Marz is beautiful and fun.
The pink arena for London was super cute yāall can stay pressed
Lol it was okay, not my favorite, but I didnāt hate it. Unfortunately, Marta and her love of Pepto-Bismol pink gave us this horrid leo to match:
This is a look, it is fashion, it is avant-garde. Youse wouldnāt get it ...
People shitting themselves over the UCLA girlsā leos last night as if yall didnāt know they have terrible track records for leo designs. Personally I could care less about what they looked like because they were clearly supposed to be costumes, why get your panties in a twist over a costume? Are yāall really funsuckers irl too?
Personally I canāt wait to see gymnastics get leos absolutely filled with sponsor logos. Then the gymnasts can get the money they desrve and twitter can choke on its outrage, win win for me.
itās been a while since i spammed you with the greatest ever leap series, this time in my half-assed winter gif format š¤·āāļø
