My sister is bringing her boyfriend of one week home for Christmas with the whole family and idk why this makes me feel so detached and lonely. Maybe because I won’t be there, I’ll be alone here in Oregon.. or maybe because when I brought my first girlfriend home for Christmas, we had been dating for a year and a half. My dad left the house to stay with a friend and didn’t come back until we left (and I haven’t spoken to him since). And then when it was time to go to the big family Christmas at my aunt’s house, Ari wasn’t allowed to come because my mom didn’t want to make a scene. She stayed home by herself watching Animal Planet. I felt and I feel so bad and I wish I had stood up for her more.
