Disturbed Peace

I was happy before I met you.

My life was not perfect

nonetheless I enjoyed it.

It was going in the right direction

and I was curious to find out what was coming next.

I didn't need anyone.

I was content with who I am

and at peace with my surroundings.

But then you came round.

You broke me so bad,

that I forgot how to live.

I doubt my every move.

I am now not good enough,

no matter what I will do.

I am not worthy of anything good.

I no longer see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you,

for taking the joy out of everything I once loved so. dearly.

I wish I had just turned around at this first date,

so you wouldn't have disturbed my peace.

Breakup Thoughts

I cannot phantom how much pain you put me through, but I still love you.

Your words still ring deep and leave me wondering if you ever really loved me.

Why did you have to take away the only thing I had?! The hope, that real love exists.

You buried it without any guilt. You live your life and have fun with your friends as if nothing happened.

While I am here crying myself to sleep every night, just because I thought this time it's real.

But all you did was lead me on. You deceived me for months.

I was too blind to notice that you were pretending. I loved you too much to ever think that you would abuse my trust.

Why did you have to put me through this? You really thought this would be good for me?

Well, it wasn't good for me. All it does, is hurt.

It left me wondering if I'll ever be enough... Am I not worth it to be loved?

You threw our relationship in the garbage without even trying to fix it.

Did it mean nothing to you? Or how can you be so heartless?

I seem to think of you every second wondering if I'll ever recover from this...

Told you everything and showed you my true self. Just to be punished for the honesty.

While you don't seem to be bothered at all. Why did it have to be me you decide to break?

I miss you and what we had everyday and all I can think of, is that I must be unlovable.

How do I say goodbye? To someone who's no longer a part of my life.

How do I say goodbye? To someone who's still alive.

How do I move on? When you are the one I love.

How do I keep going? When you destroyed all my reasons.

How do I pretend to be fine? When all I want is to disappear.

How will I ever smile again? When your comfort is the one I need

How am I able to open up? When I only have things I want to tell you.

How can I be myself again? When my honesty was what made you leave.

How can I enjoy my life? When fun is no longer fun and happiness doesn't exist.

How will I feel again? When everything is dead inside.

How can I trust again? When everything has been a lie.

How will I love again? When this heart is so broken it barely beats...

Flower

She has always been a flower to them,

but they forgot that flowers need space to grow.

This space she didn't get,

so she started to wilt slowly.

They wanted to keep her beauty as it was,

trying to protect her delicacy.

Hence, they imprisoned her.

Her health began to deteriorate and

her will faded until the very day,

she had to give up.

They never understood,

that for a flower to bloom,

it needed to be able to grow...

Something wild needs its freedom to shine.

Maybe one day they will know,

that flowers are best cherished on the field and

not plucked for a vase at home.

Studying with an apple pie

The pie tastes delicious,

so much better than bread.

I want to be studious,

but I am not well fed.

The apples smell really fancy

and I should finally study.

But I cannot concentrate on learning,

when my desire to eat is that burning.

I will now put my studies aside

and first eat the apple pie at my side.

Scared

I started to feel again despite everything.

Was about to let my walls down completely,

but whenever I don't hear from you in a while,

I get scared that you are about to run away too.

You do everything right!

Letting me feel safe.

And make me open up more and more.

Then some small words make me worried.

Overthinking leads me into an endless abyss,

makes me believe this cannot go well, won't go well!

This is gonna blow me up.

Then you reassure me,

nothing is wrong, we are fine.

I have no reason to be scared to fall.

Him deserving so much more than I can give.

He is such a sweetheart, putting lots of effort into us!

I must stop being scared!

And start to free fall.

He is worth taking the risk.

A brand-new start without regets.

I do not want to be scared any longer!

Letting go of the past, I walk into the future.

Together we march on,

not scared!
