The one thing I've always loved about being an artist is when you finally do have a free day, I start making plans for the next couple of months, because now I have ideas, and before you know it a writer's block kicks in. I mean, next month is Nano Wrimo, I'm publishing my webcomic starting tomorrow, and buying a new quality camera with filming option hopefully in the next two weeks. Then there's internship, and looking around for my possible next college. Jeeh. So, yeah, I won't be around much.

N o t h i n g m u c h h a p p e n s a r o u n d h e r e. The grocery store is also where you drop off dry-cleaning and get your pictures developed. On the days that you’re feeling a little worse for wear, you can expect a free cup of coffee from the waitresses at the Tick Tock- they’ve got a talent for picking up on that sort of thing. You can still see a movie for four dollars at the one and only theater in town, if you don’t mind the smell of cigarettes and the tacky 80’s decor. Faces don’t change too often. The cashier at the Pit-Stop might also be your old baby-sitter; the Reverend might’ve once been your Little League coach. Day in, day out, week after week, nothing much changes. No one really changes. Just living and dying in a small town.
That is, until Friday night. Because Friday nights are game nights, and this dusty little Texas town lives for football like nothing else.
DUSTLAND is a Friday Night Lights inspired roleplay group, coming soon.

Don't ever go to art school guys, don't ever. Or at least don't ever go to art school while having a part time job, a boyfriend, and wanting to write a book , but still busy with two roleplays, and requesting social life. IT DOES NOT WORK.
also, Art school is awesome, so if you are artistic, at least consider it.
as requested by anon, here’s a guide on 1x1 roleplaying!

ʀᴘᴛʜᴇᴍᴇ-ʜᴇʟᴘᴇʀ ᴄʜᴀʀᴀᴄᴛᴇʀ ᴘsᴅs : ʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴅᴇᴛᴀɪʟs
I reached 1500 followers last week, so here’s my thank you gift (because I have no ideas to code). I’ll be releasing a character PSD every single day for the upcoming 15 days. I missed a day yesterday (had no time) but here’s a simple one today, suitable for most genres.
Font used is Nexa Bold
Image should be at least 245x340px
There aren’t many colours to change, apart from the backgrounds and yellow block
Download
It should be fairly easy to edit but if you come across any problems, message me. The basic rules apply; don’t claim as your own, don’t redistribute and though credit is not required, it is much appreciated.
✢ Once upon a time...
Welcome to Grimmsvale, a little town in Gray Cove, Maine. Founded by Oswald and Ortensia Iwerks many years ago, Grimmsvale is a safe haven for the people of Fantasia Grove, the land where all fairytale creatures once lived, now that their home is falling to ruin. Oswald saved them after their hero, Mickey, had gone missing in their greatest hour of need. Now they look to him to keep them safe from the wicked Mad Doctor who plagues Grimmsvale with trouble.
Or so Oswald claims.
Perhaps there’s more to this little town than meets the eye.
✢ Rise of Oswald: a Disney/Fairytale Town RPG
This group is currently looking for active members who are +18 yrs., love to write, value character development, and want to create interesting storylines.
But most importantly, we want people willing to participate and have fun bringing these characters to life!

how do you do typography? where do you do it?
I just do it on photoshop cs5…it’s a pretty complex process that I learned in school. I don’t know how well I can explain it lol XD It takes a lot of patience and practice, and I don’t suggest doing it on a slow computer because you will hit your head against a desk. Basically you’ll just have the image that your doing a typography of as your background, like this:
Then you’ll use the eye dropper tool to select the color of an area that is relatively consistent (it’ll be tiny, get used to that)
Then you will use the text tool to write out a word, it can be any old word you want. The word will be written in the color that you selected with the eye dropper tool. I personally like working in caps and no spaces.
Then, you will right click the text layer, and click rasterize type. This basically means your making the text into an image so you can transform it any way you want. Then on the top menu bar, click edit, then go down to transform, then rotate and warp and scale the text until it fits the area with the similar color.
Then basically you just keep repeating those steps until you completely fill up the image! Then you delete the background, and it’ll look like this:
Some general tips:
Choose a fairly simple image with bold colors
You’ll be zooming in and out of the image a lot
Be PATIENT. It takes a tooon of time. My first typography took me 4 weeks of 2 hours of work on weekdays (because I was doing it only in class). This one of Chanyeol took me 6 days of 10 hours of work.
You’ll end up with a LOT of layers (I’m talking like 800+) So its good to work with folders. I usually do like a feature (eye, nose, hand, shirt ect.) in a folder, and then when I finish that, I merge the layers (select all the layers in the folder, right click, click merge layers) and put them in a “done” folder. But make sure you are happy with everything first, because you can’t undo it.
Because of your hundreds of layers it is hard to fix mistakes because you will literally spend 20 mins trying to find that one “fire” where you went wrong. People won’t zoom in and try and find every error, so just let it go unless its SUPER visible.
Other short cuts you’ll kind of figure out on your own as you go. It helps to have a general understanding of photoshop as well. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know. Good Luck! (if you end up doing one, message me (off anon) when you’re done :D I wanna see!)
