Luke didn’t usually venture this far downtown, but he’d been trying to widen his CIRCLE of INFLUENCE ever since...well...everything that went down at Midland Circle. In the aftermath of their battle with the Hand, the Defenders had lost their friend and ally. Matt Murdock. The DEVIL of HELL’S KITCHEN. And the city was really feeling it.

Between the incarceration of Fisk, the disappearance of Diamondback ( ugh ), and the defeat of the Hand, there was an IMMENSE power vacuum left in New York City. Everybody was crawling out of the sewers lately, trying to get a piece of the pie. Trying to stake their claim. 

Ya’ boy wasn’t having none of that.

The hero wasn’t in Brooklyn to fight crime, though. His errand was more of a...personal one. They’d left the ROYAL DRAGON chinese restaurant looking like TOTAL shit last time they were there ( Jessica had thrown a goddamn car through the window ), and not a single one of them bothered looking back.

Those people had sheltered and fed them, and they’d returned the favor by ruining their livelihood. That ain’t right.
