oh my god, SO much, the fine line she walks between joy and sadness and mania, the sheer energy, the way she perfectly captures the vibes of 30 year old womanchild who only eats sugary cereal and takeout and covers herself in glitter at every opportunity, the fact her harley is just like, kinda gross (like you just know she barely brushes her teeth and never does laundry), the vulnerability behind everything she does, the way margot just GETS harley (i always think about that interview from suicide squad where someone asked the cast what their character’s weaknesses were and Margot said that people might expect her to say the joker but harley’s true weakness is her low self-esteem), the way harley has come so far in three movies and yet is still herself, just everything.

but my absolute favourite thing about Margot’s Harley is the laugh she does in Birds of Prey because it’s the absolute cutest x

There’s a brief scene in Suicide Squad where they show Harley’s file and it says “24” so even younger! But yes she’s so smart😮‍💨

sidenote it’s honestly heartbreaking how young Harley was when she met the Joker

but god Harley is SO smart, from my google research she could’ve shaved a year or two off the training on certain courses but they’re more intensive, so studying to be a psychiatrist had to have been her entire life since she was sixteen, but I can fully believe it looking at Margot’s Harley? like she definitely has the determination and stubbornness to keep her mind on her goal, I can see her literally putting all of her focus into that until she’s achieved her PhD

#I love how brilliant she is she’s so smart #I actually don’t think she had many or even any friends during her studies I think she put all her focus into that #so at least now she has a solid support system and close friends who love her #especially after everything she’s been through

this isn’t relevant except to me but since margot robbie was 26 filming suicide squad i’m gonna assume harley quinn was the same age, and that she went from harleen to harley at age 25 because i feel like the club scene implied she was still pretty new on the scene, and she hadn’t been working at Arkham for long before then since she was still a new intern. if it takes on average five years to complete med school and a further three years for the PhD in psychiatry that’s at least 8 years training, meaning harley must have graduated high school early or started taking college med classes while in high school (which idk if that’s possible i’m not american). long story short, harley is canonically so fucking smart.

i really enjoyed in the pre-award reel of margot’s peers congratulating her on the trailblazer award the fact that most of them were like. she has a terrifying ability to get things done. her determination as a producer is perhaps akin to a demon from a horror movie who is unable to be stopped. you tell her what you want done and she will make it happen in mysterious ways like a mafia don. we all love her dearly.

#I may do a oneshot with gloria as a passenger but for the main au it’s copilot gloria #these are very interesting results and pretty much summed up my thoughts as well 😭#i was leaning towards copilot gloria but i had some passenger gloria ideas that were tempting

film update sites need to research like margot stans do because they’re saying shit like “the script details are tightly under wraps” but i found the script for a big bold beautiful journey online in literally less than two minutes

#like im assuming there will be changes to the script #the most obvious being there’s several references to them both being in their mid 30s and Colin for sure is almost 50 #so they are presumably changing (or else pretending this 50 year old man is 36 #which I hope they aren’t doing)#but I imagine it’s not gonna be changed immensely in terms of story #the actual script is like fine but i think margot could do some really good acting in it #and the last scene with Sarah and her mom was emotional and will probably make me cry if they get the mom casting right #for real though I googled the name of the movie and i found the script in the first page of results from when it was being shopped in 2020 #it was super easy #media sites need to get on my level
