âYou sure you good?â Urban asked looking concerned as he furrowed his brow and adjusted his best friendâs black tie
âOf course. Iâm fine. Itâs for the best.â Jack said dismissively taking one last look to adjust his suit. âGot dayum Iâm a handsome muhfuhkaâ he said flashing a dimpled grin at his dapper reflection.
âStupid muhfuhka is more like it.â Urban said under his breath as he made sure he had all the accessories for his camera sorted out for the wedding.
The black suv pulled up already filled with a few of their friends. The mood was a bit heavy in spite of the joyous occasion. âDamn are we headed to a wedding or a funeral?â Jack teased as he turned the volume up on the sound system and started jamming to Donnell Jones. âMan this is me and Taylorâs joint!â He said not realizing how obvious it was to everyone that he was forcing his extra happy mood.
After sitting in heavy New York traffic for what seemed like eternity they reached the private affair to see the bride and groomâs parents from both sides smiling as guests filed in. Taylorâs mom took one look at Jack and made a point of giving him a huge hug that lasted a solid few minutes.
âWhoah whatâs all this Mama Rooks?â He said a bit crushed from her intense embrace.
âYou ok baby? Anything I can do?â She said lovingly reaching up to fix a curl that decided to do its own thing on the side of his head.
âIâm fine what is everyone on today?â Jack said getting a bit annoyed now. His mother had called that morning and tried to make him feel like he had suffered a huge loss with what everyone thought was his soul mate marrying somebody else by surprise.
By the time Taylor and what most people thought was a casual boyfriend announced their engagement they were set to tie the knot in just 3 months. What people didnât know is that her lawyer boyfriend locked her in fast so she wouldnât back out and run to Jack who had broken her heart before.
Jack thought Taylor told him everything and felt betrayed. After an argument and an ugly cry he had to make peace with the situation to keep her in his life. He knew he fumbled her years ago when he was so immature and they just decided to be friends but everyone knew they were like peanut butter and jam.
Jack set his gift for the couple down on the gift table that was now piled high. His phone pinged with a text. It was the bride âCan you come upstairs? Iâm in the room just down the hall and to the right.â It said
Jack gulped and contemplated ignoring it. He could get through it if he didnât have to be alone with her. He delayed answering for about 20mins. Then another ping came in. âHey stink stink, tryna reach you. Come upstairs.â It read. He had to go. It would be obvious if he didnât. He excused himself from his table and made his way up the stairs of the venue. The door was already cracked a bit open. The air smelled like her favourite perfume and he could hear her humming an old Whitney Huston song as she fixed a pin in her sophisticated vintage hairstyle.
âHey stink stink!â She said enthusiastically and wrapped her arms around him.
âWhatâs up with you? You lookâŠumâŠyou look gorgeousâ Jack said taken aback by her beauty as he had been on many occasions.
âWe decided to give our closest friends special gifts and I wanted to give you yours in private.â She said grinning from ear to ear
âWeâŠwow already sharing a brain with this guy.â Jack said sarcastically
âOh stop you play too much.â Taylor said playfully hitting him. âOpen it!â She said in that adorable child-like way she had when she got excited.
Jack took the box from her perfectly manicured hands and slowly started untying the tiny bow. âOh shit Tay!â He exclaimed. It was a friendship ring he had bought her years ago âjust in caseâ.
âI wanted you to have it. It doesnât feel quite right to keep it anymore.â Her voice trailed off with the memory now so far in the rearview as she fidgeted with her engagement ring.
âUm thanksâ Jack said a bit glumly
âJackman you donât like it. Shane was right.â She said biting her nails
âDonât bite your nails pook pook itâs your big day.â Jack said taking hold of her hands. âListen to me youâre doing the right thing. I donât have my shit together and I donât know when I will.â He sighed deeply. âEveryone knows this shouldâve been our day including your man. I let you down.â
âJack I love you and I always will. Shaneâs a good man.â Taylor said trying not to look him in his baby blues
âA stable man you mean.â Jack said turning away and looking out the window at all the guests still pouring in.
âWhy didnât you bring a date?â She asked
âI did I brought Urban.â Jack said chuckling
âNo silly I meanâŠwhy didnât you bring her. You brought her to Derby. She met the family. How are you two doing?â Taylor asked
âYou know me. Weâre having fun. This wasnât the place for her. I needed to be by myself today.â Jack said touching Taylorâs face gently
âJack IâŠum IâŠoh boy we should head down.â She said nervously
âOf course pook whatever you want Iâll do. I wish you all the best in this world.â Jack said wistfully pecking her on the forehead. He didnât know it would be this hard. He let her go ahead of him and stayed behind awhile toying with the ring. He didnât want Sophia to see it and ask questions so he flushed it down the toilet and watched it spiral until it disappeared like his hopes of ever finding a girl like Taylor ever again.
Jack shows up after ghosting Y/N and her attitude lands her in trouble đ
18 plus only - mature content
Jack had been trying to get your attention all day. You had a deadline and were running out of time. He was only going to be in town for 2 more days and you were surprised to hear from him after months of ghosting youâŠwell what you thought was ghosting.
It was more like fear. You made it hard for him to be away from you and he didnât like that feeling so he dealt with it the old fashioned wayâŠGHOST.
But here he was now. Hanging at your place for the last few days which made you fall behind in getting some work done on a very important project. You ate, peed, kissed him, and went back on the computer. That had been the vibe all day and he was over it.
He walked by and casually pulled on your bra-strap and darted away with his signature mischievous giggle.
âOouuu fuck! Really dude??â You said half laughing/half pissed as you swiftly turned around to scold him. He had been sneaking loving glances at you all day from the couch as he tried to keep quiet and catch up on his own writing, hoping youâd notice but you were too focused.
He tried making you your favourite grilled cheese (the only thing he knew how to make) and rested it quietly by your side. You smiled looking up at him with gratitude and took a huge bite âThis is so fucking goooood.â You said much to his satisfaction, but that was 3hrs ago.
He finally gave up after throwing paper heâd crumpled up from writing new verses at you that just bounced off you with only a little acknowledgment and a slight grin without looking at him mesmerized by the screen.
âSheeesh youâre literally me in the studio. Worse than me.â He said walking over to you and leaning on the corner of your desk. He had been easier to ignore as you were salty he just showed up out of the blue the other day. âEarth to Y/Nâ he said waving his hand in front of your face.
âBruh. What part of âbusyâ do you not get?â You said with exasperation arms folded looking him dead in the eye.
âWhoah what the fuck is up with you?â He asked suddenly feeling your hostility towards him in a big way.
âI should be asking you that.â You shot back
âWhat? What do you mean? Baby talk to me.â He said concerned. This wasnât like you.
âI have work to do too you know.â You explained exasperated
ââŠand I get that so Iâve been quietâ he said confused.
âYou pulled by bra strap and ran away like a third grader.â You said rolling your eyes
âI thought it was funny. Trying to take the pressure off thatâs all. SORRY.â He said offended.
âYouâre sorry about that but not that you disappeared and I see you running around New York with some girl that looks like she showers once a week?â You spat out the words with everything you had been holding in deciding whether to even let him know going MIA bothered you at all.
He looked at you like you had punched him in the gut. He had officially fucked up. Was fucking up majorly.
He walked away and looked out the window at the rainy Seattle afternoon. He normally loved this weather and was completely happy to spend the week inside just snuggling with you watching movies, having those deep convos he craved that so few people could give him. You talked about so many things from the state of the world to why did they cancel that one show you both binged on last time he was in town. He could just listen to you for hours and you him. This tension was eating him alive inside.
âIâm fucking up arenât I?â He humbly offered coming behind you and swallowing you in a huge hug that made you finally feel seen and heard by him.
âYeah you are.â You said plainly without hesitation
âDamn. Ok.â He said giggling âTell you what. I will stop avoiding how hard Iâve fallen for you, and stay in touch a lot more. Like a text every day and a FaceTime bare minimum.â He promised
âNaw.â You said flat out
âWhat?â He said surprised
âIf I agree to bare minimum thatâs what Iâll get.â You said pulling away from his embrace and him talking softly in your ear. âItâs ok weâre just too busy for each other I guess. It happens. Weâre not bad peopleâ you shrugged nonchalantly which terrified Jack.
He felt a surge of desperation. âMove in with me. In New York. Go back with me. Iâll take care of this place, you wonât have to worry about anything. Pack up and come with meâŠPlease.â He swallowed hard at the tail end of his full on spontaneous begging.
âYouâre just saying that.â You responded coldly in disbelief
âY/N we have to fix thisâŠfix us. I canât have us like this. I lovâŠ.I mean letâs just figure this out ok?â He tried to get through to you his anxiety skyrocketing.
âWhat was that? You love me? Now thatâs HILARIOUS.â You quipped sarcastically. You want some popcorn? I think that new movie is out that Urban was raving about.â You stretched and yawned ready to take a break.
âAh fuck no. Get up.â Jack ordered
âExcuse you?â You replied aghast at his rude tone
âYou heard me. UP.â He challenged
You rose from your chair and looked up at him. Challenge accepted. He wanted a fight he just got one. Jack grinned sinisterly and scooped you up throwing you over his shoulder and gave your bottom a decisive spank. âPut me down!!!â You yelled
âIâll put you downâŠâ he gave you a soft but firm landing on your bed. Thunder rolled and it began to rain harder. He shut your bedroom door and turned out the lights.
Y/N gives Jack a test of survival in the woods and the relationship

âY/N can you help me set up this tent?â Jack asked as he was trying to untangle himself from the mess he had made.
âWhatâs that now? You need HELP big strong man?â You teased. You goaded Jack into a camping challenge. Just a tent in the woods no amenities with hunting and fishing over the next few days. From the time you met he wasnât your type as heâs such a pretty boy. He didnât know you were a top level survivalist taught by your dad and brothers when he met you at a gala in an evening gown and heels. Like most men you had dated, Jack said he was outdoorsy but you had him pegged for a slick city boy and wanted to put him to the test.
âJust lemme get done chopping the wood since you said the axe was giving your soft hands blisters.â You said wiping sweat from your brow and giving the last few logs a split and gathering all the kindling. You wanted to get the fire started to get dinner going. Jack had a lot to learn about fishing and preparing a meal without any modern conveniences before nightfall.
âOk I get it ok I might not be as good at surviving in the woods as I said.â He admitted and looked so cute standing there staring at the directions for the tent in confusion that you put him out of his misery by snatching the directions from his hands and giving him a fishing pole.
âNo worries just go get dinner. Itâs real simple. If you need help I can show you how to bait and throw your line and reel it in.â You offered
âThat would be nice since I have no fucking clue.â He said looking at you with admiration as you brought him to the edge of the river tackle box in hand. You got behind him as tall and big as he was to show him how to properly cast his line and he enjoyed every minute of it. âItâs all in the wrist. Focus on your wrist to your elbowâ you guided
âAll in the wrist huhâ Jack joked exposing his mischievous dimples.
You shot him a look with a slight grin that gave him hope he would be snuggled in your sleeping bag later on.
âDamn, Iâm getting eaten alive. You got any bug spray?â Jack said as he kept hitting his bare legs and arms.
âYes itâs in the tackle box and next time wear pants and a long sleeve shirt.â You said with a practically that reminded Jack of his father.
âOk Dadâ he saluted but in his joking he tripped and stumbled into the river on the muddy, slippery banks. You pulled him out howling holding your belly doubled over in laughter.
âNice laughing at me.â He said moody and embarrassed. This was not going as planned. He had been camping in high school but with the added pressure of impressing you he wasnât feeling too confident.
You felt perhaps you had been too hard on him but you didnât want him thinking his fame would work in your world or was important to you at all. In fact it was the reason you didnât trust him right off the bat but he weaselled his way into your heart somehow.
âOk handsome letâs get you cleaned up. Iâll catch dinner and weâll work on the tent together later. You can skin what I catch ok? We can cook together howâs that?â Thinking this would be an easier task but you were wrong.
âSkin the fish?â Jack repeated in despair
âIâll show you itâs literally the easiest thing youâve taken on up to now. Youâll be fine, now take off these muddy wet clothes. Weâre bathing and washing up in the river this weekend you ok with that?â You said looking at him quizzically.
âIâm ok with taking my clothes off.â Jack said forever trying to make everything sexual and playful. You realized you were being too serious.
âOk Jackman, first your shorts then your shirt, thenâŠâ you said as he peeled his wet clothes off and revealed his shredded, lean muscular physique.
âDamn. All that and canât even skin a fishâ you commented admiring the way the sunlight coming through the thicket of trees was reflecting on his body. You hadnât yet been intimate with Jack wanting to send him a message that you werenât going to give it up quick as he was used too but seeing him standing there only in his underwear was almost too much to bear.
âVery funny Y/N can I have my clean clothes now please itâs cold as fuck out hereâ he said shivering his curls dangling dripping wet.
âOh you mean these clothes?â You said holding his clean dry outfit at a distance so he couldnât reach it.
âY/N stop playingâ he said reaching out to grab his clothes feeling self conscious. Thatâs what you loved about Jack so far. He was kind of unaware of how gorgeous he really was.
âI knowâŠwhy donât you kiss me for itâ you said slyly throwing him towel
âNow thatâs something I have special skills inâ he said getting closer to you but you darted away.
ââŠif you can catch me!â You said dodging and weaving him
âY/N! For fuck sakes!â Jack said determined to grab you and finally caught you.
âSo about that kissâŠâ he said now with the towel around his waist pulling you in with his strong arms holding you and softly touching his ample cherry lips to yours then pressing deeper.
âUh yeah likeâŠum like that.â You said mesmerized as his spell was broken only by his words in your ear. You were an expert in the woods but Jackâs charisma alone was intoxicating.
âI guess I am pitching a tentâ he said looking down at his growing bulge
âWhoah ok letâs get dinner and finish setting up campâ you said nervously pulling away to which Jack just nodded. He wasnât in a rush.
After dinner and setting everything up you sat in front of the crackling camp fire wrapped in a blanket with Jack sitting behind you fully embracing you and keeping you warm as he sang a song nobody knew about. âWow that was really beautifulâ you said wistfully
âY/N?â Jack asked
âYes?â You replied nervously not sure what he was asking about but hoping it wasnât sex.
âDo you think Iâm a pussy? Is that why you brought me out here?â He said suspiciously
âUmâŠmaybe.â You admitted
âWell what do think now? Am I valid?â He chuckled
âYou passedâ you replied resting on his chest feeling sleepy
âCan we take this to the tent?â Jack suggested caressing your skin under the blanket
âSure just hold still thereâs a huge beetle on your shoulderâ you said calmly
âWHAT?? What the fuck!!! Get it off!â Jack said shooting up and swatting all around him.
âJackman calm down I got itâ you said slowly reaching and picking off the beetle stuck to Jackâs shirt.
âYouâre my heroâ he said laughing no longer embarrassed around you âdoes your sleeping bag have room for two?â
âJack IâŠI donât know if Iâm ready forâŠ.â You started to explain
âNaw I mean I ainât sleeping by myself with things crawling on me.â He answered still creeped out.
âOk city boy. Iâll protect you. You said getting up on your tipi toes for a kiss. âWait until my dad and brothers get a load of youâ you said under your breath to yourself and shaking your head.
âWhat was that?â Jack said as he thought you said something to him.
âOh nothing.â You said smiling âWe better get some sleep tomorrow weâre going hunting.â
Jack stretched and yawned not hearing at first what you said. âAh sweetâŠwait what?â
A playdate goes wrong as Jackâs daughter goes missing âœïž

âDaddy do I have to go to the game with you? I want to finish watching my show.â Patricia complained
âDonât you want to play with Clover?â Jack said as he put her hair in two pigtails and laid out her clothes for her. You were off on a girls day with Jackâs mom, aunt, and Grandmother.
You were practicing leaving Jack completely on his own on his daddy daughter days as he was gone for days and weeks at a time and needed to bond as much as possible with Patricia or âPâ as he affectionately called her. Patricia was a stubborn 4 year old and had many of Jackâs traits which included her already well developed negotiation skills.
âOk daddy how about I finish my show and Duaney can drive me later to the game.â She tried which annoyed and impressed her dad at the same time.
âPâ Jack said firmly âClover is excited to meet you, now put this on or weâll be late.â He held up her shirt to help her into it. She sighed and rolled her eyes. âWhen did you start rolling your eyes young lady?â
âSince now.â She retorted sassily. Jack didnât know whether to laugh or chide her to mind her mouth and manners.
âIâm not the one P.â Jack said with a frown that had Patricia turn on the charm.
âOk my daddy. Iâll be nice.â She said sweetly and planted a kiss on his forehead as she hung onto his neck for him to help her into her New Balance track pants and New Balance sneakers. Jack melted and a little smile creeped up on his face.
She had a complexion that was not as pale as Jackâs but not as brown as yours with gorgeous curls from both of you, 1 dimple, and hazel eyes, a compromise nature seemed to make between your brown eyes and Jackâs baby blues.
She had freckles on her nose like her dad and a lazy eye she wore glasses for like him. She was sassy, smart, and was already able to carry a tune, something you and Jack had butted heads on. You wanted her to go to college and he was always sneaking her off to the studio. âShe has potential Y/Nâ he would argue and continued to take her to his sessions and beg her not to tell you. Patricia learned how to negotiate for extra screen time for her silence. Like his parents Jack and you limited her screen time to 2 hrs/day.
âIf you play with Clover nicely Iâll give you an extra hour on your iPad ok?â Jack said knowing her currency to agree to almost anything except eating her vegetables.
NLE Choppa and Jack were in the same XXL Freshman class but hadnât spoken much since they made the cover what seemed like a lifetime ago. Both their careers had taken off keeping them busy and on the road and both now were fathers.
NLE was playing in Kentucky and of course as all hip hop artists knew it was good manners to pay the King of Kentucky homage. Jack decided to invite NLE and his daughter Clover to a Louisville FC game so their daughterâs who were the same age could make friends.
NLE and Clover often made adorable daddy/daughter videos of them dancing but Jack kept things with Patricia less public as per his tendency to keep his private life private. Today Jack was sure would be all over social media and it was the rare time he was ok with it. Fans had been dying for a daddy/daughter moment.
In her first 4 years you and Jack made sure Patricia wasnât in the public eye that much and family sightings by paparazzi were rare as the whole city protected you and respected your wishes. Louisville was a low key place so you and Jack had a fairly peaceful lifeâŠthat is until 2 little girls joined forces.
Jack and Patricia headed to their box seats to mild cheers from fans who were expecting to see Jack as part owner but were thrilled to see Patricia. Cell phones came out immediately to snap a pic of her as she settled shyly on her daddyâs lap and hugged him around his neck drawing a collective awwww from the crowd. As Jack and Patricia were brought popcorn and drinks a buzz started in the venue and whispers.
NLE and Clover showed up dressed the same as they often did for appearances and events. Today they had on matching pink and white track suits. Clover had pink and white beads on the end of her braids to match her outfit that Patricia thought were really pretty. Clover shyly smiled at Patricia as she stuck to her daddy as well. Folks were used to Jackâs preppy and clean appearance so NLE looked like a rockstar to them as he was covered in tattoos and wore a stack of chunky gleaming chains with a full set of diamond grills when he laughed and smiled with Jack.
Both extremely handsome rappers were at the top of their game enjoying life to the fullest with Jack coming off a long hiatus about to once again dominate the charts, and NLE the fastest rising independent artist out with a streak of viral moments and hits. When the superstar showed up the media and fans went nuts at the unexpected appearance.
2 superstar dads on a playdate hit IG in minutes. Were they collabing? Was Jack performing at NLEâs show later that night? Were they working on a movie together? What was going on? Fans were losing their minds with chats exploding with speculation, and every girl made emergency plans to be ready for an any mention of an epic afterparty.
âWhat up playa?â NLE greeted Jack in a solid dap and a hug.
âMan you almost as tall as me.â Jack said sizing up the 6â2 rapper against his 6â3 frame and the 2 burst out laughing. It was too much for ladies in the venue watching the tall and handsome dads chat while their daughterâs hung onto them uncertain of what was happening. Clover was more used to the spotlight than Patricia who was already showing signs of being tired.
âYo P.â Jack said lifting her little head off his shoulder and prying her hands off him to sit her down in the seat beside him and next to Clover. âSay hi to Clover.â
âUmm hi.â She offered quietly. This is one of many moments where Patricia was super shy in public. You and Jack had debates about giving her more opportunities to socialize but to say Jack was paranoid was an understatement.
âMy name is Clover. I like your glasses.â Clover offered starting to warm up to her surroundings and her new friend. Patricia was in awe of Clover. Even as a 4yr old she was so glamorous to Patricia as she whipped out a phone from her little bedazzled designer purse to show Patricia pictures of her last outing with her dad where she got to dance with LA Laker cheerleaders. Jack was nervously eyeing the interaction and seeing Patricia in awe of Clover made him even more nervous. Clover was cute and he knew NLE was a good dad, but the 2 girls couldnât be growing up more differently.
âI like your nails and your purse and your phone and your hair is pretty.â Patricia complimented all at once nervously trying to make a connection with Clover. The 2 girls giggled with their heads together as Clover showed Patricia pics and vids from her last run of adventures with her dad and silly videos they made together. âYour daddy is silly like my daddy.â Patricia giggled.
âDonât worry bruh she got a phone but itâs parented protected like a MF. Itâs a phone for kids so they feel grown but donât have access to anything bad yuh feel me?â NLE told Jack in his thick Memphis drawl.
âI hear you fam. I kinda got Patricia bubble wrapped.â He joked but it was completely the case. If you had seen that phone he knew you would bug him to let Patricia have it. You grew up less sheltered than Jack and had responsibilities at a young age and felt it helped be who you were today, but up until Jack was in first grade he just came off a farm and had never played a video game.
His childhood in Louisville revolved around his large and close knit family. It wasnât until his teens where he started to see more of the world and was in his later teens when he started drinking and âpartaking in substancesâ as he put it. Even his run with that was short lived and he rarely did anything like that anymore.
You on the other hand were left at 16 to raise your two younger half-siblings. It was either that or foster care for them as your mom battled addiction and their father disappeared. You never knew who your dad was. Today because of Jack they were now stable and living close by and your mom was getting help. Jack had truly saved her life. He was your knight in shining armour you didnât know you needed doing everything on your own. As you sipped on afternoon mimosas with your mother in law, you opened IG to find Patricia and Clover the hot topic of the platform.
âBabeâŠare you sure about this?â You frantically texted your bae. Jack had told you Patricia was going to the game but you didnât know the NLE part which brought a whole other level of attention to the outing.
âWe good baby. Just chill out and enjoy your day.â Jack texted back and put his phone back in his pocket.
âClover has a phone??? Is it for kids? Where did NLE get that for her? HELLO??!â You texted to no response from your husband. He knew a barrage of questions would be coming. You were always pushing for Patricia not to be so sheltered. âOMG!! Look at my baby girl laughing and making friends!!!â Jack???! HELLOOOO??!â But he was clearly enjoying the game and not answering.
âY/N whatâs going on?â Maggie said looking over at you scrolling IG and texting like a mad woman.
âLOOKâ you simply said tearing up and showed her what Hip Hop Central on Instagram just posted of Patricia and Clover now dancing to the music being played at halftime which was their dadâs music and falling all over each other giggling. The headline was âNLE and Jack Harlow Babysitâ
âNLE and Clover wear matching outfits?? How adorable!â Maggie exclaimed âThatâs Patricia? She just met Clover! Sheâs not shy right now! and excuse me you donât babysit your own child.â Maggie said annoyed at the headline giving you your phone back and rolling her eyes. âSheâll be talking your ear off when yâall get back home.â
âHow could he miss that the net was fucking open!!â Jack angrily exclaimed.
âYour daddy said a bad word.â Clover said to Patricia as both girls looked at Jack in a way that made him apologize to them.
âCalm down bruh.â NLE said to Jack who was now pouting at his teamâs inevitable loss.
âI have to pee.â Clover said suddenly and jumped up to go to the bathroom.
âMe too.â Said Patricia who didnât really have to pee until her friend said she had to go.
âIâll take themâ Katt said who was Jackâs assistant âCome on girlsâ she said and the 2 little girls followed her. As they went to the bathroom inside the boxed in area reserved for Jack, Katt waited for them while she faced the window watching the game. One of the staff who had their hands full left the door to the boxed in area open with the intention of coming back with more things to set up for lunch for the celebrity guests. Clover spotting the open door whispered to Patricia
âWanna play hide and seek on our daddies?â
âSure!â Patricia said up for anything Clover suggested.
Clover and Patricia snuck out the door and hid in the back of a golf cart used to get around the venue quickly that had a little canopy where you could put a little cooler for drinks. They hunkered down in the tight space. When the cart started moving they sat there quietly in hushed laughter. Their daddies would have to look all over for them and they thought that would be so fun!
Katt got an uneasy feeling and checked the small bathroom to find the girls gone. Her heart raced as she frantically texted Jack trying not to make a scene for the jumbotron to capture. Jackâs phone was in his pocket and he was preoccupied with shouting at the field over his losing team. Katt panicked and decided she had to tell him. She approached him as calmly as she could with all eyes watching and asked him and NLE to step inside the box.
âWhatâs going on?â They asked seeing the look on her face.
âThe girls theyâŠthey were in the washroom and thenâŠI donât know how they disappeared.â She said wringing her hands and in tears.
âWHAT THE FUCK!!â Jack said angrily âKatt how did this happen?â
âGeezus where is my baby?â NLE panicked and seeing the door to the suite open he ran out with Jack and venue security close on his heels. âWait let me call Clover.â He said but there was no answer. Immediately all venue security and police were notified and an amber alert went out on all attendees phones.
âJack Harlow and Mr. Bryson Pottsâs daughters are missing. I repeat, we have 2 missions children in the building. Please keep your eyes out and report to authorities immediately if you see these 2 little girls.â The announcer said and showed a picture of both girls on the jumbotron they had to take for security purposes when they arrived that day. âThey are Patricia Harlow 4 years old, and Clover Potts 4 years old.â
Everyone in the venue held their breath as some joined the search party. The game came to a grinding halt with players joining the hunt for the 2 girls. You unknowingly were enjoying horse back riding with the women in your husbandâs family on their family farm. Your phone was buzzing in your tight riding pants but you ignored it taking in the breathtaking Kentucky countryside.
The golf cart carrying its precious cargo came to a stop and the driver walked off. Patricia and Clover feeling they were no longer moving decided to poke their heads out. They thought they would pretty much be in the same spot as they had little concept of how big the venue was. They panicked once they didnât recognize anything or anyone around them.
NLE remembered Clover had a tracker on her device. He checked his phone and picked up their location. âFound them!!â He announced âThey on the other side but theyâre running to somewhere. We have to catch up to them but they are in the building!â He led the search party in their direction.
âAre you lost?â A lady asked the two girls who were now running to find their dads and crying.
âWhereâs my daddy?â Patricia said to the lady who instantly recognized her when she looked down and saw her face. âPatricia Harlow?â
Patricia nodded. âAnd whoâs your friend?â The lady asked who was just making her way back to her seat when she spotted the two girls frantically looking around them. âThatâs my bestie Clover.â Patricia said hugging Clover tight.
âOh my god ok everyone is looking for you guys!!â The lady said as she called her husband who notified security. As Jack and NLE hadnât yet caught up with them but were close.
âWe got their location they are safe and being held in place.â They heard over walkie talkies. The fathers breathed a sigh of relief. Jack had never felt such dread in his life. They put the 2 dads and Jackâs security in a golf cart and speedily got them to where the lady was holding Clover and Patricia. When they saw each other they ran to one another. Jack scooped up Patricia and NLE scooped up Clover hugging and kissing the girls fighting fully crying.
âWhat were you thinking?â Jack asked Patricia sternly and she began to cry
âI wanted to play hide and seek daddy Iâm so sorry!!â Clover bawled. âItâs ok princess donât ever scare daddy like that again ok?â NLE said softly looking into her big brown eyes.
Bruh, whereâd you get that phone for Clover? Imma need that.â Jack said holding Patricia close who was now drained and resting on him.
âAllow me bossâ Duane said reaching out for Patricia âYou want some ice cream girls?â He said reaching for Cloverâs hand trying to calm the girls down and distract them.
âTell me where you got Duane and Iâll tell you where I got the phone.â NLE said smiling. He was so impressed with how Duane was a part of the family.
âThank you everyone. The whole building gets free ice cream on me for all your help.â Jack said and when they announced it everyone at the game cheered. The girls were carried out onto the field on the shoulders of a couple players and they waved to the crowd happy to see them safe. Boy would Patricia have a lot to tell you when you met up with them at home.

It was late and Maryse was exhausted, lying in bed next to Jack. She shifted under the covers and looked over at him before sighing, seeing him sleeping peacefully. The twins had been particularly active that night, kicking and moving making it hard to get in a comfortable position. At this point she was going to sign them up at Mockingbird Valley as soon as they were born.Â
She rubbed her belly, feeling another kick, but this time something was different. A sharp pain shot through her abdomen, taking her breath away. At first, she thought it was just the babies being active again, but as the pain grew stronger, she realized this wasnât just kicking..
Maryse reached for Jack, who was still snoring next to her. âBabeâŠJackâŠI think itâs happening,â she said as she started shaking him awake.
Jack sat up immediately, now wide awake. âWhat? You arenât due for another few weeks!âÂ
Tears welled up in her eyes as the pain intensified. âI knowâŠitâs too early.â She whispered loudly, starting to panic. âItâs too soon, theyâre not ready!â
Jack quickly got out of the bed, throwing on sweat sweatpants and a hoodie. Reaching for the hospital bag they had prepared weeks ago. âHey, itâs okay. Letâs just get you to the hospital.âÂ
Tears rolled down Maryseâs cheeks as she shook her head. âBut what if something goes wrong? Iâm not ready, Iâmââ
âWe got this,â Jack interrupted, his voice firm but gentle. âYouâre strong, and our babies are going to be just fine. Youâve been carrying them for months, and theyâre ready to meet us.â
She nodded weakly, still scared, but his words settled some of the fear bubbling inside her. âOkay,â she whispered, letting him help her toward the car.
With a reassuring squeeze of her hand, Jack said, âLetâs go meet our babies.â
As they sped through the dark streets, the hospital still a few miles away, Jack kept one hand on the wheel and the other resting gently on Maryseâs thigh. She was gripping her belly, her breathing controlled but strained as another contraction came and went. The tension in the car was intense and Jack wanted to lighten it up.Â
With a slight grin, he glanced over at her, his voice playful. âYou know⊠if we time this right, theyâll probably end up being born the day after me.â His birthday was a few short hours ago as it was now past midnight.Â
Maryse, between deep breaths, shot him a tired but amused look. âYou seriously think youâre that lucky?âÂ
He chuckled, turning his attention back to the road for a second before looking at her again. âHey, Iâm just saying⊠twins love a grand entrance. They want their own day but close enough to remind everyone who their dad is.â
Her eyes fluttered shut as she braced through another contraction, and for a moment, he thought maybe his light-hearted joke wasnât working. But as the pain lessened, she turned to him with a small smirk. âLetâs just hope theyâre not as dramatic as their dad.â
He laughed softly, the sound a brief comfort in the intensity of the moment. âI donât know about that. If theyâve got even half of your fire, weâre in for it.â
When they finally arrived, the doctors confirmed that she was indeed in labor but only three centimeters dilated. âYouâve got some hours to go,â the nurse with a sympathetic smile, helping her adjust the bed for comfort.
As Maryse tried to focus on her breathing, Jack sat beside her, tapping his fingers on the bedside table. At first, it was a soft rhythm, something to distract himself from the nerves, but it soon became obvious he was making a beat out of the rhythm of her breathing.
Maryse clenched her jaw, exhaling sharply. âIf you donât stop tapping,â she said through gritted teeth, âIâm going to get really mad.â
Jack froze mid-tap, eyes wide, then sheepishly pulled his hand away from the table. âSorry, just trying to help,â he muttered, a crooked grin forming.
She shot him a look but then sighed, leaning back into her pillows. âMaybe help by not turning my labor into a mixtape.â
âNoted,â he said, settling back, a little quieter but still grinning.
In between contractions, Maryse looked up at Jack with a weak smile. âIâm hungry,â she whispered, her voice laced with exhaustion. âCan you get me something?â
Jack, eager to help, nodded quickly. âI got you,â he said, rushing out of the room.
A few minutes later, he returned, his arms overflowing with snacksâchips, candy, granola bars, a banana, even a couple of drinks. âI, uh⊠I wasnât sure what you could have, so I just grabbed everything,â he admitted sheepishly, holding up the pile.
Maryse blinked at the assortment, then gave a small laugh despite the situation. âI canât eat half of that, but I appreciate the effort.â
âWhich one can you eat?â Jack asked, looking a little lost.
She pointed to the banana and granola bar. âThose will do. Thanks, baby.â
He handed them over, still looking concerned. âIâll eat the rest,â he joked, trying to lighten the mood, but his eyes stayed glued to her, watching her every move with worry as she nibbled at the food between breaths.
âYou should probably call your parents⊠and mine,â she said, in between bites
Jack hesitated, not wanting to leave her side for even a second, but nodded. âOkay, Iâll call them. But Iâm not going far.â
Maryse squeezed his hand, appreciating his presence. âI know. Just⊠tell them itâs happening.â
Before Jack walked out the room Maryse stopped him. âHey, babe?â
Jack turned around, âI love you, and so happy to be on this journey with you.â
She could see him getting emotional, Jack walked back and pressed a long kiss to her forehead, and then to her lips. âI love you more.â
âYuck.â Maryse says with a grin before pushing him away. âNow, go call our parents and Urban so you can relax a bit.âÂ
He kissed her forehead softly before stepping aside, pulling out his phone. âHey, Mrs, Monetâ he began quietly, trying to keep his voice calm, though the excitement and worry were palpable. âSorry, Margot⊠Itâs time. Weâre at the hospital⊠yeah, for real this time.â
As he made the calls, Maryse breathed deeply, bracing herself for the next contraction. Knowing their families would be there soon brought her a bit of comfort. Even though things were happening faster than expected, she felt better with Jack by her side and their loved ones on the way.
Jack came back into the room after stepping out to make the call, his face slightly flushed from rushing back to her side. He took a seat next to Maryse, gently lifting her hand again.
âI just got off the phone with your parents,â he said, his voice calm. âTheyâre taking the next flight out from New York, but they probably wonât make it before the babies are born.â
Maryse let out a soft sigh, her face showing a mix of disappointment and anxiety. âI was hoping theyâd be here in time.â
âI know, baby, but my mom and dad are on their way. Theyâll be here soon,â he reassured her, squeezing her hand. âMy momâs gonna bring all the calm energy you need.â
She forced a smile through the pain, âGood. I need that right now.â
Jack leaned in and kissed her temple, his thumb gently rubbing her palm. âYouâre doing amazing. Just a little longer, and weâll have them here.â
She nodded, trying to focus on his words instead of the contractions. âYouâre staying with me the whole time, right?â
âOf course. Iâm not leaving your side,â he promised, his eyes steady on hers.
Maryse smiled and gave him a tired look, wincing as another contraction rolled through.
âHey, Urban just got here. Heâs in the waiting room.â
âGood. Maybe he can take some of your nervous energy because itâs making me nervous too.â
Jack chuckled, trying to play it cool but knowing she could read him better than anyone. âIâm not that nervous.â
She raised an eyebrow and let out a small huff, âBabe, I can see you tapping your foot like youâre working on a beat, again!â
He looked down, noticing his foot bouncing anxiously, and sheepishly smiled. âAlright, maybe Iâm a little worked up.â
âGo tell him to come in here,â Maryse added, squeezing his hand, âMaybe he can calm you down.â
Jack nodded, standing up. âIâll bring him in,â he said, giving her hand one last reassuring squeeze before heading out to get his friend.
When Maryse saw Urban walk in, holding his film camera with a mischievous grin, she narrowed her eyes at him. âYou really brought a camera in here?â
Urban shrugged, still grinning. âGotta document the moment, right?â
She let out a low groan as another contraction hit, her face scrunching up in pain. âIâm in way too much pain to yell at you right now⊠but trust me, Iâll make up for it later.â
Urban chuckled, holding up the camera defensively. âHey, Iâm just capturing memories.â
âI better appreciate these photos when this is all over,â she muttered, shifting uncomfortably as the pain intensified. âBecause I swear, if I look like a mess in them, youâre gonna regret it.â
Jack chuckled, rubbing her back. âYouâll look amazingââ
Maryse gave him a tired side-eye. âWhatever.â But deep down, she knew sheâd treasure the moments Urban was capturing.
Just as another wave of pain hit, Jackâs parents finally arrived. Maggie swept into the room, her eyes immediately going to Maryse, taking in her exhaustion. She wasted no time.
âYou two,â she pointed at Jack and Urban, âgo get some coffee. I can tell youâve been getting on her nerves.â
Jack blinked in disbelief. âI havenât! Iâve beenââ
Maryse shot him a look, eyebrow raised. He fell silent, his argument dying before it began.
Maggie gave him a knowing smile. âMmhmm. Go on. Weâll keep her company for a bit.â
Urban snickered, nudging Jack as they reluctantly headed for the door. âTold you sheâd notice.â
Jack grumbled, glancing back at Maryse as she waved him off, already more relaxed with his mom by her side. âYeah, yeah. We wonât be long,â he muttered, trying to salvage a little pride.
Maryse just smirked, leaning into his momâs comforting presence as they left the room.
Maggie turned to Maryse with a gentle smile. âHow are you doing, sweetheart? Feeling okay? I really hope heâs not driving you too crazy in here.â
She let out a tired chuckle, her body relaxing a bit now that the room was quieter. âHonestly, heâs been doing great. Heâs just⊠really nervous, and itâs kind of rubbing off on me. But heâs been sweet.â
She nodded, her eyes soft with understanding. âHe gets that way when he cares a lot. Iâm so happy for you two. This is such an exciting time.â
Maryse smiled, her eyes tearing up a little. âThanks⊠I canât believe this is actually happening.â
His mom leaned over, squeezing her hand. âYouâre going to be amazing parents. Both of you.â
That reassurance settled something in Maryse, the warmth of it wrapping around her like a blanket.
A few minutes later, Jack popped his head back into the room, grinning like a kid caught sneaking candy. âCan I come back in now? I miss you,â he said, eyes soft as they landed on Maryse.
She rolled her eyes, trying to suppress a smile. âYouâre so cheesy,â she muttered, but the warmth in her voice gave her away. No matter how much she pretended to be annoyed, that sweetness was exactly what she needed right now.
His mom laughed, patting his shoulder as she passed him on her way out. âAlright, you two, Iâll let you have your moment.â
Jack quickly walked over to her bedside, leaning down to kiss her forehead. âI canât help it,â he said softly. âI love you.â
Maryse rolled her eyes again, but this time, she smiled wide. âEw. You really do.â
Before he could respond, her face scrunched in discomfort. She gripped Jackâs hand tightly, her voice shaking. âGet the doctor or nurse, please,â she urged, barely able to keep her breath steady.
Jackâs eyes widened with concern as he quickly stood up, rushing to the door and calling for help. A nurse hurried in within moments, checking Maryse over before nodding. âItâs time. Youâre ready to push.â
Panic mixed with excitement flashed across Jackâs face as the room suddenly buzzed with activity. The nurses quickly started prepping everything while another handed him a set of scrubs. âWe need to get you into these now,â she instructed.
Jack fumbled with the clothes, his hands shaking as he tried to put them on. He glanced back at Maryse, who was focused on breathing through the pain. He could tell she was terrified, but there was no time to dwell on that now. He had to be there for her.
âYou got this, baby,â he called out, though his own nerves were showing. He finally got dressed and rushed back to her side, ready to hold her hand through what was about to happen.
Maryse gave him a tired but determined look. âYou better be right here the whole time,â she said between breaths.
âIâm not going anywhere,â he promised, squeezing her hand as the doctor arrived.
The doctor stood at the foot of the bed, ready for the arrival of their twins. âAlright, Mrs. Harlow, itâs time to push. Give me a big one,â the doctor said, voice calm yet firm.
Maryse didnât even register being called âMrs. Harlow,â too focused on the overwhelming pressure and pain. Her entire body trembled as she braced herself, gripping Jackâs hand so tightly that he winced, but he didnât dare complain.
âYouâre doing amazing, babe,â Jack encouraged, his voice soft but steady. âJust breathe. Iâm right here. Youâve got this.â
With a final push, their son was born. His tiny cry pierced the air almost immediately, bringing both of them to tears. âItâs a boy!â the doctor announced, but before they could fully process it, the doctor encouraged her to push again. âOne more, youâre doing great!â
But before she could catch her breath, the next contraction hit, signaling it was time for their second baby. âYouâre almost there,â Jack reassured her. âOne more. You can do this.â
She bore down, pushing with all her strength. Sweat beaded on her forehead, and the room seemed to fade around her, everything focusing on the task at hand. She groaned with the effort, her face contorting in pain, but she didnât stop. The sound of the doctorâs calm instructions blended with Jackâs reassuring words, both keeping her going.
Jack leaned in, kissing the side of her forehead, his heart racing as much as hers. âJust a little more, baby, youâre almost done.â
Maryse screamed as she gave one last push, The doctor held her up, but the room fell into an eerie silenceâshe didn't cry
Her heart dropped. She looked over at Jack, panic in her eyes, and she squeezed his hand even tighter. âWhy isnât she crying? Whatâs wrong?â
Jackâs face paled, his eyes glued to their baby. âCome on, baby girl,â he whispered under his breath, his voice trembling. âCome on.â
The seconds felt like hours. The nurses quickly began rubbing her back, gently stimulating her, and finally, after what felt like an eternity, the sweetest sound filled the roomâa tiny, soft cry.
Both Maryse and Jack let out a breath they didnât realize they were holding, tears streaming down their faces. âSheâs okay,â the doctor reassured them, âSometimes it just takes them a minute.â
Jackâs legs almost gave out from the relief as he leaned over to kiss Maryse's forehead. âSheâs okay,â he whispered, voice cracking. âTheyâre both okay.â
Once the nurses had cleaned the babies, they gently placed one in each of their arms. Maryse cradled the first twin, their son, while Jack held their daughter, his face lit with awe. The room was quieter now, the cries subsiding into soft coos, and the nurses hovered nearby, curious as they asked the question.
âSo, what are their names?â one nurse asked, a smile on her face.
Maryse looked up at Jack, her heart swelling. This was the moment theyâd talked about, dreamed about. She shifted her gaze back down to the tiny face in her arms, brushing a finger softly across her sonâs cheek.
âNoah Thomas,â she said softly, pride and emotion lacing her voice.
Jack smiled, glancing down at their daughter, who was already settling in his arms like she knew she belonged there. âAnd this little one is London Paige,â he added, his voice full of warmth.
The nurses beamed. âBeautiful names,â one of them said, making a note on the clipboard.
As they looked down at their children, Maryse and Jack exchanged a glance, both overwhelmed by the love and responsibility that had just entered their lives. Noah, with his tiny features that mirrored Maryse, and London, with her resemblance to Jack, made the moment feel even more surreal.
âTheyâre perfect,â Jack whispered, leaning in to kiss Maryse's forehead again, unable to tear his eyes away from their babies.
Maryse smiled tiredly. âYeah, they really are.â
The nurses gently took Noah and London to the adjoining station to check their vitals, Jack turned his full attention to Maryse. He leaned closer, cupping her face in his hands, brushing his lips against her forehead, her cheeks, and finally planting soft kisses all over her face.
âIâm so happy right now,â he said, his voice barely above a whisper. âYou did amazing, babe. I canât believe we just brought two beautiful babies into the world.â
Maryse laughed lightly, still feeling a mixture of exhaustion and exhilaration. âI couldnât have done it without you,â she replied, her eyes sparkling with tears of happiness. âYou were right there with me the whole time.â
Jack nodded, his eyes shining. âAnd I wouldnât have wanted to be anywhere else. Youâre incredible.â He paused, watching her with a tenderness that made her heart swell.
âI canât believe weâre parents now.â
âRight? We are really doing this,â he replied, grinning ear to ear, his voice filled with excitement.
Just then, the nurses returned with the twins, both of them sleeping peacefully in their tiny blankets. âTheyâre doing great!â one of the nurses announced, beaming at the new parents. âEverything looks perfect.â
Jackâs eyes lit up as they approached, and he turned back to Maryse. âLook at them,â he said, pride swelling in his chest. âWe made those little miracles.â
Maryse couldnât help but smile as she watched him fall into that instant connection with their children. âTheyâre our world now,â she said softly.
She leaned back against the hospital pillow, she couldnât help but smile at Jack, who stood by the bassinet, completely mesmerized by the tiny babies they had just brought into the world. She watched him, his eyes wide and full of love, and felt a warmth spread through her chest. All the pain and stress they had just endured felt like a distant memory. Before the exhaustion pulled her under, her mind wandered back to the whirlwind of the past year.
From the dizzying heights of success with her music career to the unexpected news of her pregnancy, it had all felt like a beautiful, chaotic dream.Â
Their late-night talks, the way he made her laugh when she was feeling down, and the countless times he had gently reminded her of her strengthâit all played like a montage in her mind. The stalker incident, the Super Bowl performance, and the challenges of preparing for two little ones felt like a lifetime ago. Yet here they were, parents of two, ready to take on whatever came next.
She glanced at Jack again, who was still transfixed by the babies, his expression a mix of awe and pride. That sight filled her with warmth, and as her eyelids grew heavier, she felt a sense of gratitude wash over her. They had fought through it all together, and now, with their family finally complete, she knew they could handle anything.

There was one night Jack came in high and had been drinking which he doesnât usually do. He crept into your room where you stayed in his condo to cater to his every need as his assistant. He crashed beside you as you lay there frozen. Trying to move him was like trying to move a brick.
Had he wandered into your room thinking it was his? Did he think you were his latest fling that would stay over some nights? Those nights that were so awkward when one of Jackâs flavours of the month would stay over and in the morning you would find some confused girl in the fridge rummaging around for a snack in his Tshirt and boy underwear.
Jack would always shoot you a look as whoever it was this time blew him a kiss goodbye trying desperately to stay. You didnât seem to care at all. In fact you thought these girls were stupid and wanted no part of Jackâs world as âHarleezyâ.
You had gotten to know Jackman Thomas Harlow and Jackman is who you were trying to hide that you adored, possibly had even fallen forâŠas far as that was possible for you. You were pretty but didnât really understand that, and didnât know how to âact sexyâ, or any of that stuff, which drove Jack insane for you. He loved the awkwardness, the inability to take a compliment, the complete lack of awareness of how pretty you were, and lack of being able to bullshit him.
In fact, you were kind of grumpy which Jack found cute and would go out of his way to irritate you on purpose. You hadnât intended your first assignment to be babysitting a grown man but this grown man desperately needed it. He was so kind and sweet it became a role you filled very well. At least looking after Jack had benefits. He was lighthearted and witty, and you needed that in your life.
You were a business grad and that was your mindset. Working for Jack was your first big break. It was Jackman who told you how he really struggled with fame and felt insecure while you two would chill some nights with pups and watch a movie. âYoung Harleezyâ was breaking hearts and gently kicking girls out in the morning.
However, you started seeing someone else in the business as you had no illusions of you and Jack ever being a thing. Plus dating someone so recognizable didnât appeal to you. Unfortunately when Jack found out about your new man, he went on a bender at his favourite nightclub, the Hub.
He stumbled onto your bed and crashed, intending to tell you how he felt about you that night, but was too gone. In the morning you woke up to his arm and leg over you looking like an absolute angel with a mess of curls. He must never know how you felt about him. You worked for his label. As you were taking him all in trapped under his massive frame compared to yours, he opened his blue eyes, rubbed his freckled nose, smiled, and pulled you closer going back to sleep.
âJâŠJackâŠJACKMAN itâs me Y/N get your giraffe self off meâ you said trying to move just his arm was not working as he gripped you tighter. âEarth to Jackman Iâm not AlishaâŠor âDelilahâ who we all know her name is not fucking DelilahâŠor Jesse who has no makeup line coming out like how stupid does she think we areâŠor Joanne who like bitch Iâm not your maid. Clean the crumbs off the counter when you make your post-dick sucking peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!! Uughhh!âThe desperation in your voice reached a strained pitch as you struggled underneath him. This was what Jack was waiting for. He knew you cared and responded half asleep as his perfect pout turned up slightly at the corner in delight.
âListen Y/Nâ Jack said still groggy âI know whose bed Iâm in just relax.â He nuzzled into you and was full on cuddling now. He proceeded to doze back off and talk in his sleep. You learned he couldnât stop thinking about you, said youâre his girl no one elseâs, he loves grilled cheese with the crusts cut off, and Phil owes him $20.00. You laid there under the weight of him and listened to him babble until eventually you detangled yourself from the labyrinth of arms and legs, and went to make his eggs like you do every morning.
When you entered the kitchen Ismail was there having already grabbed something to eat and was working on his laptop as the sun was just beaming through the large windows over the Ohio river you had a full view of.
âOh heyâ you greeted him off handedly
âHey.â He said quietly. Ismail wasnât a big talker which was perfect for you especially in the morning
âHe alright?â He said motioning over to your room
âHeâs fine just fucking irritating as usual. I think I have a crick in my neck. He sleeps like pups just takes over the bed. Thanks for feeding her.â You replied as you picked up pups and gave her a kiss
âNo worries. Sorry he insisted he had to talk to you last night and tell you everything. I couldnât stop him from going in there.â Ismail apologized âWhen are you leaving for the Caribbean? Weâre all dreading itâ
âI leave todayâŠwait what? What do you mean tell me everything is he ok?â You asked Ismail. Jack is always talking shit so you took nothing he said seriouslyâŠeven in his sleep.
âNothing.â Ismail said looking like he let something slip. âIâm taking over for you. Jack said heâs not letting some snotty nosed kid from Atlantic make his eggs for 2 weeks so show me how to make the Y/N special.â
You were getting the pan out and everything you needed as Jack never slept in even the odd time he got into some âsubstancesâ the night before. You started boiling the kettle for his tea and took the eggs out and a bowl. âWell first of all he only likes them scrambled but Iâve moved him over from hard to soft and some salt and pepper. I also pan fry his toast in THIS PAN. He says he can taste the difference when itâs done in any other pan. Got it? This pan for the eggs, this pan for the toast.â
Ismail gained a new appreciation for you 1min into these instructions. âI ainât doing all this he gets what he gets.â Ismail vowed. What did he sign up for? Was his boy really like this? âNo wonder he loves you so much.â He said and immediately clamped his mouth shut, but you were busy cracking and whipping up everything so you didnât notice.
You placed Jackâs plate of eggs and pan fried toast on the table with a peeled and fanned out orange on the side with his favourite âThroat Coatâ tea. Ismail watched in admiration knowing he wasnât going to be able to top this.
âOk Ismail since this is your crash course in all things Jackman letâs go wake him up.â You said preparing Ismail for what itâs like to get his friend out of bed. You were armed with pups which was your secret weapon.
You unleashed puppers onto the bed and Jack was attacked with licking, whining, and barking. Still motionless and in a deep sleep you took a pillow and hit him repeatedly in the head. âJack!! JACKMAN!!â You yelled âEggs!!â He came too with a gentle smile.
âHey beautiful thanks my eggs are ready?â He said looking absolutely adorable with bed head and disheveled clothes from the club.
âGo take a quick shower first. Hereâs some water and pop a couple vitamin C to sober up ok? I leave today and I need to make sure youâre ok before I go. You have a conference call with management and Ismail is here. I prepared your notes for your phone interview and the studio called. I booked you in all weekend. You have to finish those last 2 songs and make sure you sign that card for your cousins birthday, and I restocked the bathroom with that soap you like.â
As you gave Jack who was still waking up a run down of everything he needed to know in his life, Ismail was starting to understand why Jack felt such anxiety with you going away. âIâm exhausted already Y/Nâ Ismail said in awe of you âJack buddy letâs go bud you got a headache?â He said helping his friend up.
âYeah sort of.â Jack said feeling more depressed than anything âY/N youâre meeting him in the islands arenât you? This mr. record executive.â
You stopped. âWho told you that?â You asked stunned.
âI got my sources. You couldâve just told me⊠I mean itâs not like I give a fuck. I can have 2 and 3 girls over at a time while youâre gone and I donât have to worry about whoever I have over crying that you donât like them.â Jack said being as mean as possible. He had hoped something wouldâve happened last night but he was too wasted.
âJack fuck the whole neighborhood while Iâm gone I donât care.â You retorted annoyed as you busily went about preparing for your flight âIsmail have fun. I know I will.â You smirked which drove Jack nuts.
âHave fun blowing the bossâs son who cares!â He yelled back downstairs as he went up to shower
âYour eggs are cold now.â Is all you said calmly
âBro. Is heâŠdo yâall alwaysâŠwhat in the actual fuck did I just witness? Yâall need to fuck and get it over with.â Ismail marvelled shaking his head.
âOh trust me, that was nothing.â You said rolling your eyes ânow watch when he comes back down.â You predicted in a hushed whisper.
Jack came back down his curls still wet and sat at the table with a sigh for attention while you tidied up the kitchen. âPookie.â Jack called to you as you had your back turned washing up. âPook! Yo, my food is cold, can you please warm it up for me?â
âOf courseâ you said taking his dish with a peck on his forehead to which he smiled and you put his plate in the microwave. âLook I leave in a few hours. Ismail is all set so if you need me donât call me. I will have no access to email and spotty cell service.â
âY/N?â Jack said in the most pathetic way âDonât enjoy yourself too much you know what I mean? You got condoms right?â Jack asked as he sipped on his tea.
With that, watching the most toxic interaction heâd ever seen, Ismail walked away and left the room, heâd had enough.
âI bought a fresh box thank you dad.â You lied stealing a piece of his bacon before handing back his warmed up plate.
âA BOX??â Jack fumed âYou know what? I lost my fucking appetiteâ he said shoving the plate away and folding his arms.
âYou know what makes me lose my appetite? All your little hoes losing their underwear in your mattress. Like Iâm so glad I donât have to clean your cum splattered room. Theyâre so dumb and skanky and grossâ You shot back pretending to gag.
âWhen do you fucking leave?â Jack seethed.
âNot soon enough!â You yelled stomping to your room. He was knocking on your door in 2 seconds.
Ismail was desperately trying to get Jackâs attention to cue up for his interview and conference call.
âFuck off!â You said through the door as you decided to call your uber and leave early. This was why you were leaving in the first place. Most of the time the toxic banter was all in fun, but sometimes it got ugly.
âOpen the door Pookie.â Jack insisted sounding nicer âCan I help you with anything before you go?â Which was his way of getting you to open the door. He didnât want you going away mad and using your whole box of condoms to spite him.
âYou want to help me? Take your meds.â You said still pissed as you opened the door to find him eating the breakfast he said he didnât want and just standing there. âWhy are you so clinically insane?â You asked him while gathering your things to head out early.
âIâm sorry Iâm way off lately. I love you, you know that.â He said as he often did. What you didnât know is that it was true.
âI called my Uber Iâm out of here, remember interview and all that other shit. Hopefully when I come back you can treat me like a fucking human.â You said on the edge of tears which wasnât normal for you.
âPlease donât sleep with him. I couldnâtâŠI wanted to tell you last nightâŠIâ Jack stammered and sat on your bed looking paler than usual
âJack talk to me.â You said concerned as you sat next to him. âYou can talk to me you know that right?â
âY/N please. I need you to not sleep with this guy.â Jack begged.
âJack Iâm seeing him. I canât just refuse to sleep with him. Weâre getting closer and this will be our first time. He wanted it to be special.â You said dreamily. Jack couldnât take it he abruptly stood up and started pacing.
âWhat if I fire you if you go.â He said
You shot up walking over to him to stop him pacing and talking crazy. âWhy would you do such a thing?â
âBecauseâŠI canâtâŠah fuckâ Jack pinned you to the wall. He pressed into you and passionately kissed you as his hands began moving all over your body. You felt him rising quickly and panted âJack noâŠpleaseâ. He pulled his sweatpants down and lifted up your shirt getting one breasts free sucking and biting your nipple roughly âJack I canât do this!â You breathlessly exclaimed. He turned you around and felt between your legs to tease your space.
âThen why are you so wet?â He demanded as he backed you up to your bed and pushed you onto it taking his shirt off as he stood between your legs. He kneeled down just admiring your glistening pussy and started licking all the way up your inner thigh, penetrating your dewey core with his hot tongue and suctioning your clit with his juicy lips. You gripped his damp curls with agony. Was this actually happening and why was this happening?
He forcefully had your hips in his grasp as you straddled your shaking thighs around his head. Once he came back up he stood up rock hard in front of you wiping his mouth with a mischievous grin motioning for you to pleasure him. This had gone too far now. The Uber was on the way, Ismail was in the living room, and Jack had things to do.
You took him into your whole mouth pulling the shaft slowly out of your wet mouth with a rotating suck at the tip. He lost his mind rolling his head back moaning and shoving your head down. You gagged a bit but spit on his now purple throbbing cock and pumped him vigorously matching his intense energy.
You both had so much pent up energy and anger that you needed each other so much. He pushed you back and entered you slowly as you winced from his size. This is not how you imagined your first time with him as you had done many nights falling asleep knowing he had brought someone home that you would see in the morning in the kitchen.
âHow you give such good head and soâŠuughhh so tight and wet.â He said out of breath inside you rocking in between your thighs finding his perfect spot before he pummelled you into the mattress. He couldnât believe how good you were. Had he known he would have done this a long time ago. âYour my girl understand?â Echoing what he had said in his sleep. His tender kiss on your forehead as he went deeper stretching you had you looking into his eyes in disbelief of the painful pleasure. âIâm not nice Y/N. not when the pussy is this good and belongs to me.â
He shifted all his weight onto you making you cry out âJack I canâtâŠyouâre too bigâŠIâŠoh god.â
He covered your mouth muffling your pleas for him to stop when he knew you didnât want him to. He didnât want Ismail to hear you scream. âShhhhhâ he said in your ear overpowering you in missionary position. âRelax ok? Am I hurting you? Tell me yes.â
He let you speak moving his hand away. âYes⊠fuckâŠPLEASE Jack.! I wont be rude anymore I swear.â The ecstasy you felt was uncontainable.
He smiled and covered your mouth again driving hard and fast and was not satisfied until he felt a tear drip down your face onto his firm hand. It was too much, too much he had held in for too long. He aggressively drove hard until he exploded onto your stomach as he quickly pulled out.
It was more than he had dreamed every night he was with someone else. âFuck youâre so goodâ He said dipping his throbbing tip into his warm cum on your stomach smearing it all over before lying back pulling you to snuggle up to his chest. You were both a mess. One of your breasts was out of your bra, and your underwear still around one ankle. It all happened so fast.
Just then the Uber called and Ismail knocked on the door. âJack buddy your interview and Y/Nâs Uber is here.â Ismail called out to you and Jack heaving and sweating, you with his cum still all over your stomach.
âOne sec bro.â Jack called out to Ismail and frantically turned to you âDonât get on that fucking plane.â He demanded both if you still reeling from your rough romp.
âJack IâŠâ you started to say but he kept you from answering your phone. The Uber was calling you.
âMiss Y/N no longer needs your services. Weâll pay you full fare. Sorry bro.â He said still a bit out of breath as he hung up and tossed your phone on the floor.
âUughhh!! I hate you!â You said exasperated
âI know baby. I hate you too, and by the way, youâre fired.â He said.

âYou ready baby? Happy Birthday to my girl. Are you excited?â Jack said holding you from behind and kissing your neck as you checked yourself out in the full length mirror.
âBaby youâre wrinkling me!â You said smoothing out where he had bunched up your dress wrapping his arms around you. âBut thank you baby I canât wait!â
âIf I was a bad bitch Iâd wanna fuck me too!â You said jumping up and down as if you were already at NLEâs show in the front row. Jack surprised you with tickets and because he knew NLE you were going to meet him. Jack just looked at you and walked away. He was a bit jealous if he was being honest. This was all you talked about since you found out like you werenât dating an even more famous rapper.
âHey, calm down and donât you think you should wear something that covers you more baby? What about this jeans and hoodie? Itâs just a concert.â Jack tried to reason to make himself feel better. You looked gorgeous and that was the problem. NLE was as funny and charming as Jack was.
âUm no thanks I like this dress but maybe next time.â You said unknowingly kissing him on the cheek. âLetâs go!!!â
âCan we listen to NLE on the way there?â You begged as Jack didnât like noise when he was driving.
âWeâre going to the show isnât that over kill?â He said starting to get annoyed.
âWeâll listen to older stuff he might not play tonight. PLLLLLEASEâ you said pouting.
âOk fine.â He relented kissing your forehead. You were adorable when you begged.
âGoing down a narrow ro oh oh oad, going down a narrow road oh oh oad!!!â You sang NLEâs earlier hit Narrow Road at the top of your lungs with the roof open. Jack was already regretting buying you these tickets. He had to make you go to Gazebo Fest and you complained the entire time of being too hot, hungry, and tired.
Jack wasnât much for concerts and when he went he usually sat higher up in box seats but because he knew you wanted front row you got front row. Baby gets what baby wants. This was a smaller venue anyway so Jack didnât have much of a choice. You let out a squeal when you grabbed the barricade and Jack rolled his eyes taking his guarded boyfriend stance firmly behind you where he planned to be the entire time. He looked around and he felt old. NLEâs crowd was about 16-25 so he grumpily put up with pushing and shoving as the crowd built up.
âYo!!! Oh shit Jack Harlow is here!â He was hearing around him as cell phones quickly came out of pockets and flashed before he could say anything. He wanted a date night feeling with no security and was beginning to regret it. You on the other hand were chatting away with someone beside you about how funny NLE was and his latest shenanigans on IG.
âGirl that red see through top and red leather pants at Fashion Week??? OMG!! He looked SO GOOD!â She gushed to which you nodded and Jack pretended not to hear. Thatâs when the lights went down a few opening acts you didnât care much about came on. Jack was concerned you were bored.
âYou ok baby? Youâre barely dancingâ he observed sweetly as he held you tighter. He was bracing himself for your reaction to the main event.
âJust waiting for my man is all.â You said âSaving my energy.â You didnât yet know you were going to meet NLE afterwards.
After a brief intermission and endless people coming up to Jack the lights dimmed and you started screaming. âHe ainât even on yet.â Jack said dryly and slightly embarrassed.
Then it got pitch black and smoke filled the stage. Through the mist NLE emerged with his signature look shirtless, tatted from head to toe, low riding black jeans. He directed a megawatt, diamond grilled smile to you and winked. âJack Harlow done brought his girl to see me yâall!!!â NLE said playfully as he darted to the other end of the stage. Jack smiled back but the joke irked him. You on the other hand were mesmerized.
Then NLE did the Slut Me Out trilogy it was a wrap. By this time Jack was hiding how mad he was. NLE had you. He jumped down from the stage drenched in sweat and as he went by the front row he kissed your hand like a perfect gentleman. You sang along just as loud as in the car then it happened. NLE pulled you up on stage and walked around you like his prey as he rapped âIs we fucking or what?â and made his famous humping gestures in the air. You were escorted back to Jack who just stood there in disbelief.
âHaving a good time now?â Jack said angrily
âBaby IâŠBaby itâs all just fun.â You apologized thinking because Jack and NLE knew each other and both always joked around it was all fine. You tried to kiss him but he dogged it.
âI have a surprise for you that unfortunately we canât back out of now or Iâll look like a punk.â Jack explained as the crowd thinned out after the show and he led you to the backstage area following security that came to get you.
âWait whatâs happening???â You asked incredulously as you were now standing in the hallway in front of NLEâs dressing room door. Jack just stood there not saying a word.
âBaby I am so sorry if I acted way over the top and made you feel bad.â You said as you titled your head up to kiss him. Jack couldnât resist and felt your butt as his tongue met yours.
âYou owe me after thisâ Jack said giving your butt a light but stinging tap that served as a warning.
âYouâre a lucky man legendâ you heard a voice say in a thick Memphis drawl. You turned around and there he was. NLE standing there freshly showered with grey sweatpants on and a towel on his head.
You tried not to appear remotely interested in looking down at the package NLE was toting. Jackâs eyes were on you.
âYou must be y/n so honoured to meet the princess of Kentuckyâ he said holding your hand too long for Jackâs liking.
You shyly replied âUm thatâs meâ fixing hair behind your ear. All mannerisms that Jack didnât like.
âOh fuck now she getting all SHY??â He said seething in his mind.
âSup.â He said to NLE and dapped him up not showing how agitated his was as he felt NLE poured it on thick during his show.
âI hope you donât mind me bringing this gorgeous prize on stage. I just wanted to make her birthday unforgettable.â NLE said eyeing you
âPreciate you man.â Jack replied stiffly in complete bro mode.
âOh boy Jack is acting all hard he is PISSED.â You said to yourself. Him and Jack talked shop for a bit off to the side recounting the XXL freshman class they were both in. Jack seemed to loosen up and was smiling and laughing to which you breathed a sigh of relief.
On the way home he was silent in the car and you didnât ask to play any music especially NLEâs. You reached over and felt his bulge and he responded immediately shifting in his seat as he stared at the road. âThatâs right, you know how to make everything up to me birthday girl.â
âPull over.â You ordered âImma take care of you like itâs YOUR birthday.â

âYo my girl is coming over tonight behave yourselfâ Clay said to his brother
âCouldnât care less broâ Jack said as he checked his messages totally preoccupied as they were sitting on the couch together watching the game.
âOk boys sheâs going to be here soon. Clay set the table, Jack just behave yourselfâ their mom said shaking a spatula at Jack as she finished cooking
âWhys everyone saying that?â Jack said in fake bewilderment. He knew damn well why. He would get to cracking jokes and pouring on charm or just being goofy and the girls would fall for him leaving Clay with a broken heart.
Clay had come into his own. He had matured and grew tall and handsome and was a super producer living on his own. The family was gathering for Labour Day long weekend dinner and Clay was introducing his mystery woman to the family.
âMust be serious bro. Iâm happy for you.â Jack said sincerely. He decided he wasnât going to do anything to upset his brother. He had matured too and he had nothing to prove by stealing yet another girl. Jack made a mental note to not play around because he wanted to see if this girl was trying to date Clay to get near him.
Just then the doorbell rang but it was his grandparents. Then it rang again and it was his dad coming back from a run to the liquor store for the festivities. Then it rang again and again filling the house with aunts and uncles and cousins. No girlfriend. Clay started nervously checking his phone. Tonight he was going to propose in front of the whole family. His family was just meeting her but Clay kept her under wraps for almost a year.
Jack would tease him about his imaginary girlfriend but Clay wanted to make sure she was with him for the right reasons. Tonight be was making it official and they were basically eloping. He didnât want the whole big fuss. His family was big and could get to be a lot, and him and his girl were low key. They always talked about a ceremony at City Hall, small dinner party and quick honeymoon in Jamaica. He was busy finishing up his brotherâs album.
As everyone was getting hungry waiting for their new guest they decided to start eating. Jack was watching his brother out the corner of his eye concerned as he was frantically texting her back and forth. He vowed to keep quiet so he said nothing. Finally the doorbell rang. It was Stefanie. Clay jumped up to let her in and she was a mess!
Stefanie had caught a flat tire on the way over. She insisted on driving over herself because she was hyper vigilant about not looking like a gold digger or Clay spoiling her. She had an old Acura that worked on a good day but refused Clay buying her a new car. She knew how to change a tire but it had also rained a bit ruining her look. She didnât want to look like a âbaddieâ so she had on jeans, a tank top with a light crisp white shirt and sandals with a slight heel.
Her hair was in a ponytail with light makeup. Perfect for a family Labour Day affair. That is until she had to get dirty. She had hazel green eyes being mixed Puerto Rican and beautiful olive skin with one dimple and a big smile. She also had a great sense of humour and was studying at a small University in Ohio majoring in international law. She told Clay she was having âcar troubleâ knowing full well Clay would rush over to where she was to help.
âBaby!â Clay exclaimed âWhat happened to you?â He whisked her in the house and Maggie their mom grabbed her a towel.
âCome with me Stefanie Iâm going to clean you up you poor thing!â Maggie and her sister fussed bringing her upstairs.
Jack hadnât yet got a good look at her. He had to go stand a bit away as he got a business call. When he returned he was confused. âDidnât your girl walk in?â He asked Clay looking around.
âYes and sheâs a mess! Momâs cleaning her up and giving her a change of clothes.â Clay explained. He was mad because Stefanie was always making something worse by not calling for help. It wasnât the way he hoped dinner would go tonight.
When they came back down from upstairs Stefanie was all clean and freshened up with a pair of Maggieâs tights and a hoodie. Perfectly comfortable while her clothes were cleaned and dried. âThank you so much everyone! What a way to meet you all. Geezus that was a heck of a way to kick this off. Hi, Iâm Stefanie with an âfââ she beamed at all of them. Clearly this girl was different. She was outgoing and confidently shook everyoneâs hand.
Then she got to Jack and paused âI guess saying hey whatâs poppin? will get me eating all the coleslawâ she chuckled making reference to the times Jack has said in his songs he hates coleslaw. She had a goofy little laugh and was so jovial Jack chuckled too immediately impressed but keeping joking around to a bare minimum so nobody could accuse him of flirting.
âSo Stefanie with an âfâ please sit. You must be starving.â Jackâs dad said âeat up because weâre about to play some games.â
âOoh! I love games! What kind of games?â She asked enthusiastically her eyes brightening as she dished out her food.
âWell I donât mean to brag but trivia games are kind of my thing.â Jackâs dad Brian said leaning back confidently in his chair satisfied from the big dinner he ate.
âSounds awesome Mr.Harlow.â She said sweetly with impeccable manners
Jack leaned over and whispered in his uncle Benâs ear âThis has to be a paid actor. No way Clay bagged this dime.â Clay shot Jack a look from across the table to which Jack responded with a look of innocence.
After dinner they all settled in for the big game. Board game that is. It was a serious thing in their house and nobody took loosing well. Clay was feeling the velvet of the small ring box in his pocket waiting for the right moment. Everyone seemed to be absolutely in love with Stefanie. Everyone except Jack. He had been unusually quiet this whole time.
âOk get your partner and letâs get started with the first round.â Jackâs grandpa ordered
Clay and Stefanie snuggled into one another on the floor with a blanket ready to play. Clay was sure they would win. Stefanie was his secret weapon.
âFirst question for the lightning round.â Grandpa said âWhat Chinese state has the Great Wall of China? Everyone was silent.
âCan I Google this?â Cousin Ben said as arguably the smartest person in the room
âOMG!â Stefanie finally exclaimed jumping up âI know this one! Itâs a trick question!â
âBaby calm downâ Clay said laughing pulling her back down. They were so cute together. Jack watched their interaction to see if it was real. Stefanie would have been a dream girl for him. How did Clay land her? Where did they meet? Did she have a sister? But he vowed to behave and behave he did.
âChina has provinces not states so any answer would be wrong. Am I right?â She asked the room excitedly
âUm how did you know that?â Jackâs dad asked her in awe.
âStefâs an international law major.â Clay said slyly as he proudly put his arm around her as she sat back down
âUnfair!â Jackâs cousin Sean said âIâm not playing. This is rigged.â
âOk everyone that was beginners luck. Next question!â Grandpa announced loving being the host of these shenanigans.
âWhat is the law of energy?â He said dramatically in a hushed tone.
The room went quiet. Clay squeezed Stefanieâs hand to stop her from answering. Eventually one of Jackâa cousins said âGive it to us Stef. We know you know.â
âUm ok and this is just a guess. The law of energy is energy is never lost just transferred.â She said adorably squeezing her eyes shut and crossing her fingers to which Jack looked away.
âCorrect.â Grandpa said as the ringmaster
âIâm tapping out theyâre going to win.â Jackâs uncle said walking away in a huff.
âOh no Iâm sorry everyone how about this next round I wonât answer. Zippy lippy.â Stefanie said with a giggle. Jack couldnât take it anymore.
âBro.â He gestured to Clay âCan you help me grab snacks in the kitchen?â
âSureâ Clay said happy his girl was making such a great impression.
âWho is this girl?â Jack said immediately as soon as they were out of earshot
âWhat the fuck bro, whatâs up your ass? You donât like Stef?â Clay said annoyed
âNo. Sheâs great. Almost too great. How did you guys meet?â Jack asked as he grabbed some chips and dip
âI played a little gig on her campus and as you can tell sheâs not shy. We hit it off and went for drinks after and that was it I was hooked.â Clay said lovingly looking over at Stefanie biting her tongue to not further upset his family.
âShe got a sister?â Jack pressed Clay
âNo and even if she did I wouldnât let you near her.â Clay said defensively
âIâm not an asshole broâ Jack defended himself
âNo youâre justâŠyou.â Clay said and Jack knew what he meant. Jack had stolen too many of his girls only to have them crying to Clay later how Jack just stopped showing interest.
âStefâs the real deal. Look what I got her.â Clay said taking the ring box out of his pocket and cracking it open for Jack to see. It was a cute little diamond just like Stefanie. For some reason emotions were coming up for Jack he couldnât make sense of.
âThatâs great bro just be careful.â Jack cautioned as they returned to the gathering. His head started pounding.
Jack pretended to have to leave early after getting a phone call. He left with warm goodbyes and a salute to his brother who was nose to nose with Stefanie. Clay decided to take Stefanie on a drive around his neighborhood and as he shared his childhood memories he popped the question in private. They called Jack right away on FaceTime. Stefanie was beaming and holding up her ring for Jack to see. Will you be my best man at City Hall tomorrow bro? Clay asked.
Jack was in shock. âOf course Iâll clear my calendar. Congratulations you guys.â He said slightly deflated. He couldnât shake this cloud that had settled above his head and he tossed a d turned all night. In the morning he awoke groggy to pups licking his face.
âWhatâs the fucking rush?â He said to himself as he fixed his breakfast âWhys he getting married so fast?â But he had agreed to be his brotherâs best man so he picked out a nice suit as it was too short notice to buy a gift so he had his assistant run out and get a card and a wad of cash for the happy couple.
Jack arrived to find his parents beaming and a relative of Stefanieâs. Her parents were in Puerto Rico and could not make it. âHello brother!â Stefanie said to Jack flinging her arms around him already tearing up.
âBaby watch your makeup.â Clay said lovingly dabbing under her eyes. To see Clay like this shook Jack to his core. Urban was serious with someone, even his other buddies were all getting booed up. It wasnât as regular for them to all be hanging out in their free time. Jack relied on his day ones and he was feeling just plain lonely. When would he meet someone like Stefanie? How was that even possible with his lifestyle?
The club girls he was having threesomes with were not fulfilling anymore. Girls were getting left on read as he had started to question his life. Fans were upset because he had been so M.I.A. Feeling like he was losing his brother to a fantastic girl he felt he couldnât compete with was causing him an inner struggle to be happy for them. Plus if he was being honest⊠he was attracted to Stefanie. Her goofiness, her giggle, her smarts, her eyes, her boldness, the way she was helping his mom do the dishes when he left last night⊠and that one dimple, had intrusively entered Jackâs mind all night as he tried to sleep. His brother one upped him and got THE girl.
Jack blushed shyly as Stefanie shot him a grin and a goofy shot gun for the shot gun wedding happening with his brother. She had her natural curls flowing with little babies breath flowers strategically placed in a half-up do and a simple white summer dress she ran out bought that morning that delicately graced her slim frame. She looked like an angel. As they recited their vows Jackâs stomach began to tighten up.
âHunny are you ok?â His mom asked as Jack shifted uncomfortably in his chair.
âIâm fine. I think that macaroni pie last night didnât agree with me.â Jack explained it away
âThatâs because youâre always eating all that healthy shit.â His dad leaned over and whispered
âThanks dad appreciate it.â Jack said rolling his eyes. He couldnât wait for this to be over.
As the happy couple jumped into Stefanieâs old Acura and drove off dragging rattling cans and a âJust Marriedâ sign headed to the airport for their mini-honeymoon, Jack made an excuse and quickly bolted. He turned the key to his condo excitedly greeted by pups and nuzzled his whole face in her soft curly fur falling onto the couch in exhaustion. He picked up his pad and started to write a song about a girl he wished was his but didnât deserve.
The weeks went by and as Clay returned tanned from the Jamaican sun him and Jack got back to work on the album. Jack braced himself for Clay talking his ear off about his new wife but Clay just kept his head down working hard to get everything perfect.
âYou know you can talk about her. Iâm ok with it.â Jack said late one night with his brother in the studio.
âStef?â Clay said as he looked up from the computer screen âAww you know Stef bro sheâs back at school and here on weekends. Ainât much to say we just us. With Stef everything is just natural. When sheâs done her degree sheâll move here and thatâs pretty much it.â
âWhat about kids?â Jack asked as he tore open the package of a Nature Valley Bar.
âI would love that when itâs the right time. Stef has dreams of working at the UN.â Clay said proudly
âSo why the rush in getting married?â Jack asked
Clay squirmed and hesitated to answer. Jack looked directly at him and waited for a response.
âUh, no reason.â Clay said âI mean if you know the one is the oneâŠwhy wait?â
âI guess so.â Jack said suspiciously
âOk you want the truth?â Clay said looking at Jack now
âThatâd be nice for a change.â Jack said sarcastically
âI didnât let anyone get to know herâŠwell you, until I was about to ask her to marry me so it didnât give you time to do what you do best stealing my girlfriends.â Clay finally said with a hostile tone
âI fucking knew it.â Jack said getting up and pacing âI knew something was different about you this past year.â
âYeah different like I wised up. Stefanie is totally your type. I had to work smarter not harder bro.â Clay said tapping his temple indicating his intelligence.
âPlaying chess not checkers I see.â Jack said sitting back down
âIâm happy for you bro honestly. No funny shit.â Jack said
âThank you broâ Clay replied âNow letâs get this hook done I have to call Stef. I miss her already.â
Jack caught the far off look in Clayâs eyes and decided he better get on board and get to know Stefanie. If she hurt Clay it was game over. Their family was worth a small fortune and had to be careful who they let in.
Stefanie had her nose in a book chilling with her cat when she was jolted out of her story by her phone pinging. It was a text from Jack. How he even had her number she didnât know. âLook out the window.â She read aloud and looked to see Jack Harlow standing there waving at her. Stefanie froze. Clay had warned her about Jack stealing his girlfriends. âJack?â She called down to him. âWhat are you doing here?â
âYou gone let me up?â Jack said in his smooth drawl back up to her. Stefanie ran down to let him in. It was Jack Harlow after all.
âNice little place.â He said as he entered her apartment looking around. He had his puppy with him who immediately her cat didnât like.
âLet me put Ms.Pumpernickel in my bedroom.â She said
âOf course her cat has such a cute name.â Jack said in his head. He drove to Ohio to hang out with her without telling Clay because Clay would have stopped him. He fully planned on telling Stefanie to keep his visit a secret.
âListen Stef, I wasnât here ok?â Jack said to her as she returned to the living room
âOf course you werenât.â She agreed not sure where this was going
âLook, our family is kind of a thing.â He started explaining
âYeah just sort of.â Stefanie said sarcastically, fully aware of her new status as a Harlow
âI needed to get to know you without Clay around.â Jack said raising the hairs on Stefanieâs neck.
âJack I donât do well with ambiguity. Whatâs all this for?â Stefanie asked throwing Jack off with her change in demeanour. Had Clay warned her about him?
âCan we just talk?â Jack asked so sincerely Stefanieâs walls came down a bit.
âSure. Iâm sorry I donât mean to be rude.â She apologized âCan I offer you a drink?â
âWater please.â Jack said as he sat on the couch
Stefanie started to sweat. She never told Clay she had a crush on Jack for years. She didnât just happen to know song lyrics. She deeply loved Clay as she had heard Jack was a major player, and now alone with him she could see he didnât have to try very hard.
âThanksâ he said as she nervously watched him drink it down and wipe his mouth
âSo shoot ask me anything.â Stefanie said wanting to get to the point
âWhat movies do you like?â Jack asked her throwing her off
âUm well I like science fiction mostly.â She said to no surprise to Jack as she seemed a bit nerdy which he found irresistible
âStef I didnât drive here to ask you what movies you like. As you know our family has some money.â Jack said cautiously
âIâm aware and I donât want it. Iâm going to work for the UN done day.â She said so adorably Jack had to regroup in his mind
âOkâ he breathed âI had to hear it from you. I donât want anyone taking Clay for a ride.â
âRelax Jack. Really. Iâm not a gold digger. Like at all.â Stefanie said patting him on the leg to which a sensation traveled up his body.
âStef?â He asked âHow did you know a deep cut like the coleslaw line?â
âUm no reason I mean who hasnât heard Dark Knight?â She said off handedly
âA lot of people.â Jack said leaning back on the couch making himself more comfortable
âLook I like the music salute.â She said abruptly
âIs that all you like?â Jack asked trying to dig deeper
Stefanie blushed and felt warm. âCute dog!â She blurted out âWhat breed is she?â
âStefanie. Answer the question.â Jack insisted
âEvery girl has liked you itâs not a big deal.â She said tossing her hair as if to toss away his accusations of what he had felt. At dinner at his parents, Jack caught a glimpse of Stefanie looking at him as he chatted with family at a distance. He said nothing to Clay but it bothered him.
âEvery girl likes me but I donât like every girl.â Jack said lowering his tone making Stefanie uncomfortable
âIâm married to your brother Jack.â She asserted
âI know that. Iâm sorry I should go. As a matter of fact it was wrong for me to come here. I felt something and I thought you felt something and wanted to make sure so I know how to play this whole thing. I canât say itâs easy watching Clay with you.â He couldnât believe he just said the quiet part out loud.
âJack you should go.â Stefanie said embarrassed âI shouldnât be having this conversation with you alone like this. I love your brother.â
âSounds like youâre trying to convince yourself not me.â Jack said as he left.
Stefanie closed the door behind him double checking through the peak hole to make sure he was leaving. She felt dizzy and went to lay down with her cat patiently waiting for her to come and snuggle. It took Stefanie days to shake Jackâs presence it was powerful. At dinner she tried not to let on she was struck by how gorgeous Jack was in person. Was it ok to crush on your husbandâs brother just a wee bit in your mind?
Her phone pinged one day as she was painting and listening to classical music making her jump. It was Jack. âBefore I go do you want to come by my hotel for dinner? Sorry I have to eat privately as it causes less of a stir. No funny stuff.â
Against her better judgment she texted back âSure.â Wondering what he was still doing in Ohio.
Stefanie decided to look casual so as not to give Jack the wrong impression not realizing he found that even more sexy. She showed up in baggy jeans and an off the shoulder button up shirt with her hair in a bun and just one long curl hanging down with her tortoise shell rimmed glasses on. Jack gulped when he saw her. âCome on inâ he said feeling a bit weak. âWine?â He said holding up a nice selection for her.
âPlease.â She replied as she kicked off her shoes. Maybe this wasnât going to be so bad after all. In fact dinner was lovely. She got to know Jack better as they talked well into the night about so many different things. She realized some of Jackâs true feelings about politics and music, but especially being famous and how hard it was. âI better get going.â She yawned. Jack this was awesome. I think we got off on the wrong footâ
âStefanie stay.â Jack said putting his hand on hers. âHe doesnât know Iâm here.â
âJack what??â She said in disbelief but not moving her hand away
âJust hear me out. We get this whatever this is that we know is there out of our system and thatâs it.â He suggested breathing hard his heart pounding. He had to have her just one time.
âJack noâ she said getting up to leave. He stopped her and kissed her gently pulling her in close and pressing into her. She pulled away and grabbed her shoes not even stopping to put them on, but he blocked the door.
âTell me you feel nothing and Iâll move.â He said desperately savouring the taste of her on his lips.
âJack please let me go we canât do this to your brother.â She pleaded
âYou didnât tell me you feel nothing for me.â He said not moving from in front the door
âI have a silly school girl crush.â She admitted âNow let me go. You really want to ruin your whole relationship with your brother? Tear your whole family apart?â
âNo I donât youâre right.â He said slumping down âStefanie I canât get you off my mind.â
âI canât get you off my mind but thatâs not helping anything! Jack I have to go. Call me before you leave tomorrow but tonightâŠI canât stay here and this never happened.â She helped him up and he walked her out of the hotel and flagged down a taxi to take her home.
As Stefanie opened the door to her apartment she noticed a light was on that she remembered turning off. She felt a presence, grabbed a candle stick, and tipi toed around. She went to her room to find Clay fast asleep. He had come to visit and surprise her. She quietly washed Jack off of her and shampooed him out her mind.
Once in her pyjamas she settled in next to her husband and kissed him on the forehead. No more of this. As soon as she was done her studies in a few months she would suggest her and Clay move to another state. She had strong feelings for Jack and getting to know him made it worse, but Clay was no consolation prize. He was incredible in his own right. Stefanie decided she had to do what she had to do. She started feeling on Clay in his sleep. âItâs time to make a baby.â She said to herself.
Clay never knew what transpired between his wife and Jack. Jack never texted Stefanie again and their encounters were brief at family gatherings. âYou not really warming up to Stef are you?â Clay said to Jack at one such gathering as they looked on as Stefanie animatedly chatted with Jackâs mom.
âStefâs alright I ainât got no issue.â Jack lied. By now he had gotten over what happened and got no further signs from Stefanie, but if he did, it would be impossible to resist her.
âWell thatâs good cuz we got some news.â Clay said âCan I get everyoneâs attention!!!â He said dinging a glass âMe and my beautiful wife have an announcement.â
âWe appreciate you all very much.â Clay said reaching for Stefanieâs hand who all of a sudden looked pale Jack noticed.
âWe are pregnant and moving to New York so Stef can make her UN dream come true and I can put my career in turbo.â Clay shared as he rubbed Stefanieâs stomach. She stood there half-smiling not saying a word.
Jack retreated to the basement den to watch tv while everyone cheered for them and cornered them talking excitedly asking them tons of questions. He didnât want to leave abruptly and draw any negative attention but he could always make the excuse he was on a call.
Well this was it. Stefanie and Clay were as good as gone. Maybe now he could really move on. He kind of already had as he was spotted at a Louisville club with a new girl since the incident in the hotel in Ohio. Stefanie heard about it and reassured herself she chose the right brother. It was no life for her to cheat on Clay with Jack. She noticed Jack had walked away but preoccupied herself talking to family. Maggie and Brian were disappointed Clay was moving so far away, and Brian noticed Jack had quietly slipped away. Something wasnât right.
âHey son. Everything ok?â Brian said catching Jack in the Lazy-boy watching soccer.
âIâm just tired is all.â Jack said quietly not looking at him
âWeird to see Clay doing all this so fast huh?â Brian said
âTell me about it. Weird is the right word.â Jack replied sullenly
âListen son, itâs hard for all of us all these changes.â Brian offered
âYeah I just need to find someone like what Clayâs got.â Jack said sadly
âYou will son. Itâs harder for you is all but you will.â Brian said encouragingly âYouâll find your Maggie one day or your Sugar.â
âDad?â Jack asked âWhat made you know mom was the one?â
âI couldnât get her off my mind.â His dad said
âYeah sounds about right. I think I met my soul mate but itâs not meant to be.â Jack mused almost like his dad wasnât there.
âThatâs tough son. Iâm sorry to hear that. Thereâs lots of great gals out there.â He said âI better get back donât stay down here too long.â
Jack resigned himself to rejoin the celebration after the first half of the game. He heard footsteps and looked up to see Stefanie. âHi Jack. May I sit?â She said kindly
âAh sure StefâŠor should I say mom.â Jack smiled and touched her stomach âI wish..â
âI know. Part of me wishes that too. Are you ok?â She asked
âAre you happy Stef?â Jack asked
âIâm so happy.â She smiled
âThatâs good. Iâm happy for both of you really.â He said
âIâm glad because I feel kind of bad.â She said starting to tear up
âOh no shhoooosh Iâll be ok really.â Jack comforted her holding her as she sobbed
âI have no idea why the universe works the way it does.â She said âYou should be the father not the uncle.â
âStef stop this, whatâs done is done. I should have left you alone.â Jack said regretfully âIâll always be there for yâall you hear me? We canât help how this worked out.â He said pecking her on the forehead and catching her perfume. âIâd rather have it eat at me every day than ruin my brotherâs happiness. He thinks I donât like you so make like weâre all good with each other ok?â Jack said with a wink.
âOk Jack. Thank you, and for what itâs worthâŠIâŠI came down here to tell youâŠI do love you, but you would break my heart. I canât compete in your world.â She said earnestly
âStef, you on a pedestal. Nobody can touch you.â Jack said swallowing hard âand nobody better or imma catch a case.â
They both laughed and headed back upstairs. Stefanie went over to Clay and gave him a kiss and nodded to Jack from across the room. Clay sent Stefanie down to talk to Jack hoping if they talked a bit Jack would soften up to her. He had no idea and would never know what almost happened.
Itâs brat summer but Y/N is on punishment đđ đœ
18 PLUS ONLY đš
âNo. Heâs not coming to my sleepover.â You said to Jack in protest.
âY/N I need you to be ok at all times and you be tryna dodge security all the time so I gotta keep an eye on you baby cuz Iâm in a whole different time zone right now.â Jack said firmly. He was in Saudi Arabia for a big performance and leaving you alone made him terribly nervous. It was an irrational fear but you were known to get into some situations when you managed to get away from surveillance.
âUughh!!! Ok fine Duane can come.â You said rolling your eyes at Jack on FaceTime. It was pointless to argue.
âThatâs my girl. I love you and I gotta go.â He said and with that he was gone. Sometimes he was gone so long on the road or recording it felt like he was a genie in the phone.
Tonight was going to be something fun instead of being bored because Jack was gone. You were invited to a sleepover at Urbanâs girlfriend Azuraâs house. You had everything ready to go. Fuzzy slippers, silk matching pjâs, rollers, and mani/pedi kit.
You didnât even look at Duane in the car ride over and were quietly, resentfully looking out the window.
âY/N I know you donât want me there.â Duane who was Jackâs security said as he looked ahead and focused on the road. Duane was a large man with tattoos who wore sunglasses at all times and never smiled, but that was for optics so nobody messed with his clients. Deep down he was a big softie that let you get away with too much for Jackâs liking.
âI just donât think I need security at my friendâs house.â You said sulking.
âYou know how your man is. Youâre still paying for that time you dodged me and wound up drunk on the beach in Turks and Caicos and nobody knew where you were.â Duane reminded you.
âOMG that was last week, heâs so ridiculousâ You sighed but nonetheless this was your fate. You were being babysat by your boyfriendâs bodyguard.
âGiirrllll!!!â Your friendâs squealed when they opened the door and saw you. Thatâs until they saw Duane. âWhys he here?â They said almost in unison.
âBecause Jack is still all bent over last week and now Iâm on punishment.â You explained glumly.
âYour man is a whole stern father I donât know how you deal with him. Urban is so chill.â Azura said feeling sorry for you.
âThatâs because Urban is always high.â One of the girls giggled.
All 6 of them fawned over how fabulous you looked with your hair up in a high ponytail, fitted tank top and cut off jean shorts. You had been working out with Jack and eating healthy and it was paying off. It was hard for Duane not to notice but he kept everything professional at all times. He was thrilled to be on assignment with such gorgeous women but he maintained a stone face and kept his shades on.
âHeâs like those guards at Buckingham Palace.â Your friend Christie whispered to you
âOh heâs a softie thatâs just his resting bitch face.â You said off handedly not really wanting to acknowledge Duane was there.
As the night got started the wine and snacks came out and you whipped out the mani/pedi kit.
âYou always come prepared girl.â Azura said âIâm first!â
âNaw let Duane go first.â Your friend Jessica said mischievously âIf you on punishment lets have fun.â She whispered to you. Your one eyebrow went up in devilish agreement.
âOh Duane would you like a mani/pedi?â You ask cheerfully sitting on his lap.
âY/N what are you doing? Iâm working.â Duane explained trying to get you off of him as he felt his pants tightening up. As you sat up your friend Suzette took over and really poured it on thick. Suzette was very curvy and had a big sleep T on with boy underwear. She sat on Duane and took his sunglasses off.
âLetâs take these off so we can see your handsome face.â She said sweetly batting her eyelashes at him.
âOk I see what yâall are doing and itâs not going to work.â Duane weakly protested as another girl came behind him and started massaging his shoulders.
âOh my such big shoulders with so much tension.â She said softly as she kneaded out some knots.
âMy job is stressful.â He said relenting to how good it felt. You looked over at 2 other girls and they started giving him a manicure one at each hand while you placed his tired feet in a bowl of steaming water for his pedicure. âOh my godâ is all he could say with all the special treatment. The girl on his lap started feeding him grapes when suddenly his phone rang but he couldnât reach it. One of the girls reached in his pocket and answered it. It was Jack on FaceTime checking up on you.
âWhat the fuck is going on?â Jack said as he couldnât believe what he was seeing.
âHi bubby weâre treating Duaneâ You waved as you were clipping his toenails.
âYeah heâs very stressed. Poor Duaney Wayney.â Your friend said to Jack as she massaged his arm.
âSorry boss they got me in a situationâ Duane said as now a towel was being wrapped around his head and a clay masque applied to his face.
âGive me Y/N.â Jack said to her friend seething
You stopped what you were doing to take the phone with all the giggles in the background and girls remarking on how stressed Duane was as he was telling them things he had to go through guarding celebrities.
âYou think youâre slick Y/Nâ Jack chided disapprovingly
âI donât know what you mean. You hear the man you have him working too hard.â You said with a straight face as you were delighted you were getting under Jackâs skin. âBy the way you look so hot baby. I wish I was there toâŠâ
âStop it aint gone work. This is nasty work Y/N. When I get home imma..â Jack tried to threaten
âYouâll what? Spank me?â You said bending over and biting your lip
Jack looked mesmerized for a second but snapped out of it âImma get you back for this some way somehow for turning my security guard into a marshmallow.â
âAhhh sorry baby from the looks of things Duane belongs to us now right girls??!!â You said showing Jack the whole scene unfolding and the most content look he had ever seen on Duaneâs face. All the girls laughed as they caressed Duane. His head was now in your friendâs lap as he was getting a facial, laid out on the couch with cucumber slices over his eyes.
Jack called Urban and Sunni over to see what their girls were up to. âAzura stop rubbing Duaneâs feet now!!â Urban yelled in despair as he couldnât do anything about it.
âBaby??! Please stop.â Is all Sunni could say as he saw his girlfriend with her boy shorts and tank top on take over and give Duane a head massage
âThis is pure evil guys.â Jack said to them as they looked on helplessly âY/N this ainât over.â He called out to you from Saudi Arabia
âSorry Jack I canât hear you too good bye hunny bunny.â You blew him a kiss and cut off the call
Jack knew that trick. He taught it to you. âThey just declared war fellas.â He said to his friends as he had to admit defeat. âY/N got it coming when I get back. Her security is gonna be so tight sheâs going to have surveillance in the washroom.â
âSomething tells me Duane wonât have a problem with that.â Phil chimed in
They all turned and looked at him and said âShut the fuck up Phil!â
We fucked senseless for 3 days. Clinging to each other. Then he left. I cooked him his favourite breakfast as he held me from behind and we laughed like he wasnât about to leave. He has to go.
To make the world dance, laugh, cry, even to deeply think. To make all the girls jealous theyâll never be his like I think I am. Heâs everything to the world and heâs the centre of mine.
All the places he gently touched, passionately grabbed, and explored with his tongue, are still tingling under the warm pulse of water washing it all away now as I shower him off. As the memory of him evaporates in the steam, I think.
What if itâs a boy? Will he have curly chocolate hair and big blue eyes? Will he break little hearts like daddy breaks mine every time daddyâs gone?
I change the sheets so they wonât be scented with him and make myself a cup of coffee. Just 37 minutes ago he sat in that chair shaping his pink lips to blow on his hot tea and eat his eggs.
In the night he blew into it my dreams what I wanted to hear. Delicate whispers of when he might be back while he moved with powerful rhythm inside me.
He sipped his tea right in that chair and devoured his eggs because he had to leave. He always has to leave.
I go through the motions, every conversation after this with no meaning, just killing time until FaceTime. Heâll be back only to leave again.
And she believed him. She believed in the man she saw when they were alone, the one who held her close at night and whispered promises of a future where theyâd rise above it all.
He started showing up at her house with bruises on his arms, a cut on his lip, or a black eye that he would shrug off with a casual, âJust a misunderstanding,â or âYou know how it is.â
The first time she saw the bruises, she was concerned. âScalvo, what happened to you?â she asked, reaching out to gently touch the darkened skin on his cheek.
She wanted to press him for more, but the look in his eyesâa mixture of weariness and defianceâmade her hesitate. She didnât want to push him away, not when she felt him slipping through her fingers.
One night, after he arrived with fresh cuts on his knuckles, she couldnât stay silent any longer. âScalvo, this is getting worse. Youâre getting hurt more often. Whatâs really going on?â
âBut why do you have to be involved?â she asked, her voice trembling with a mix of fear and frustration. âYou donât have to keep doing this. We can leave, start over somewhere new.â
Scalvo reached out and took her hand, his grip firm but tender. âI wish it were that simple,â he said quietly. âBut this life⊠itâs not easy to walk away from. Iâm in too deep.â
But as Scalvo continued to come to her battered and bruised, the realization began to sink in: maybe, just maybe, the world he was part of would never let him go, and she might be dragged down with him.
Finally, she broke the silence. âScalvo, this has to stop. Youâre going to get yourself killed if you keep going like this. We need to find a way out.â
She looked at him, her eyes filled with a mixture of fear and love. âBut it doesnât have to be this way. We can leave, Scalvo. We can start over somewhere far away. We donât need all of this.â
He stood up, pacing the room, the tension radiating off him in waves. âIâve tried to shield you from the worst of it, tried to keep you safe, but youâre in this now too. And I need to know if youâre really with me.â
âI canât do this, Scalvo,â she whispered, her voice barely audible as she looked up at him with tear-filled eyes. âI canât keep pretending that everythingâs going to be okay. Itâs not, and we both know it.â
Scalvoâs jaw tightened, and for a moment, she thought he might argue, might try to convince her to stay. But instead, he just nodded, the resignation clear in his eyes. âI understand,â he said quietly, his voice rough with emotion. âYou deserve better than thisâbetter than me.â
Scalvo stopped, his hand hovering over the doorknob as he turned back to face her. The anguish in his eyes mirrored her own, and in that moment, all the fear, all the doubt, melted away. She crossed the room in a heartbeat, her hands reaching for him, pulling him back toward her. And then, before either of them could think, she pressed her lips to his in a desperate, passionate kiss.
It was a kiss full of everything they hadnât said, of all the love and pain and longing that had been building between them. Scalvo responded instantly, his arms wrapping around her as he deepened the kiss, pouring everything he had into that one, final connection.
The kiss quickly turned heated, their hands roaming over each other as they stumbled toward her bedroom. This time, there was no hesitation, no holding back. It was as if they both knew this was their last chance to be together, and they werenât going to waste a single second of it.
Their clothes were discarded in a frenzy, and soon they were lost in each other, their bodies moving together with an urgency that bordered on desperation. The passion between them was raw, intense, and filled with the bittersweet knowledge that this was goodbye.
Scalvo pressed a final, lingering kiss to her forehead before he slowly disentangled himself from her embrace. He got dressed in silence, every movement deliberate, as if he were trying to memorize the feel of her touch, the scent of her skin.
When he was ready to leave, Scalvo paused at the doorway, his hand resting on the frame as he looked back at her one last time. His eyes were filled with so much emotionâregret, sorrow, and a love that would never fade, no matter how far apart they were.
Scalvo walked away into the night, the pain of leaving her cutting deeper than any wound heâd ever suffered. He had done what he had to do, what was best for her, even if it destroyed him in the process.
As much as he hated himself for what he was about to do to her family, for the betrayal that was already set in motion, he knew there was no going back. But at least he had given her a chance to escape the fallout, to find a better life without him.
And that was the only solace he had as he disappeared into the darkness, leaving behind the only woman he had ever truly loved.
Sheâd tried to put on a brave face, mingling with the guests, offering polite smiles and nods when necessary, but it was all just an act. Her heart wasnât in it. Every time she closed her eyes, she could still feel Scalvoâs touch, hear his voice, and the pain of his absence was almost unbearable.
As she approached the back of the building, where the offices and private rooms were located, she heard raised voicesâangry, panicked. The sound made her blood run cold. She quickened her pace, her heels clicking loudly against the polished floor as she turned the corner and saw something that made her heart stop.
There, in the dimly lit hallway, stood Scalvo, his face a mask of grim determination. He was locked in a standoff with two of his men, who were pointing guns at her father and his security detail. Her fatherâs face was pale, his expression a mix of fear and defiance as he tried to negotiate with the men holding him at gunpoint.
Scalvo eyes flicked to her, and in that split second, she saw the torment behind them. He hadnât wanted this. He hadnât wanted to hurt her, but there he was, standing on the precipice of an unforgivable act.
The two men with Scalvo exchanged uneasy glances, realizing that things were spiraling out of control. âCome on, dude, letâs get out of here,â one of them urged, his voice tense. âWeâve got what we came for.â
âScalvo, pleaseâŠâ she begged, stepping forward despite the danger. âYou donât have to do this. You donât have to hurt anyone. We can still fix this.â
But deep down, she knew the truth. She could see it in his eyesâthe resignation, the acceptance of what was happening. Scalvo reached up with a shaky hand, brushing a tear from her cheek as he tried to offer her a small, sad smile.
âIâm sorry,â he murmured, his voice barely audible. âI wishâŠthings could have been different.â
Her fatherâs security team rushed to her side, trying to pull her away from Scalvoâs lifeless body, but she couldnât let go. She clung to him, the man she had loved despite everything, the man who had walked away to protect her, only to meet his end in her arms.
Jackâs back-to-school day has him feeling worse than Y/N đ€
âBaby I canât drop Patricia off. Iâm running a feverâ you said coughing into your arm.
âKeep that to yourself baby. I got this. Iâll deal with Patricia.â Jack said keeping you at arms length. âWere you sick last night when I was all in it missionary?â
âShut up Jack!!â You said throwing a pillow at him
âOk fine but now Iâm worried because I was all up in that and you probably were contagious.â Jack continued seriously
âIf you donât get your daughter ready and off to school I will sneeze and cough all over you.â You threatened
âThatâs nasty.â Jack said as he dodged another pillow flying at his head
âDaddy I need my hair done. I want the princess thingysâ Patricia said firmly. She wanted to look just right for her first day of school. She brought Jack her container of bobbles and a comb with some detangling spray. Those were all the things you grabbed to make her look pretty.
âBubby I donât know how to do that. Letâs do a ponytail.â Jack reasoned looking into her big brown eyes like yours but not liking how she folded her arms like him when heâs waiting for his games to load. âOk, princess thingyâs it isâ he relented as he found Patricia downright intimidating.
She looked in the mirror afterwards and was actually ok with how it looked. âNot bad Daddy. You tried. Maybe when mommy gets better she can teach you.â Patricia said kindly patting him on the shoulder in consolation.
Jack couldnât believe how much this little kindergartener ran his life and told him like it is. Patricia was a straight shooter. She looked like both of you but her perfect ringlets, glasses, overbite, mouth, and freckles on her arms was all her dad. Her personality was all Jack. She was light hearted and kind, but what Patricia did not like that was it. Stubborn as her father. She knew Jack had tried to please her with her hair, so in her loving him so much, she decided to be kind and make him feel good with a peck on the cheek.
âWhereâs Duane daddy we need to go.â Patricia said putting the last items in her little backpack. She fully expected security to accompany her to school as she was used to having security everywhere she went.
âI donât know pumpkin but heâll be here soonâ Jack said making sure she had everything for the day.
âIâm going to be late for school.â Patricia said her eyes welling up. âItâs my special dayâŠâ she said starting to cry and it was about 20 seconds before she full on started bawling. It was not drama Jack wanted as he told you he had everything under control. Your time together last night was make up sex because you were upset he wasnât doing enough around the house and with Patricia, so he didnât want to mess up a simple thing like school drop off.
âOk ok ok sheesh Iâll call Duane and see where heâs atâ Jack said in his stern way but Patricia knew she had him wrapped around her finger.
Duane pulled up while Jack was calling and confirmed he was outside. He looked every bit like security which Patricia loved. She had developed a fear of monsters lately and felt like Duane kept her safe because he kept her family safe, and most of all her whole worldâŠher daddy. Duane had on his signature Black shades, black TShirt and black pants. His arms were tattooed and huge. Patricia looked like a doll in his arms as he scooped her up.
âYayy!!!!â She said as she ran up to him and he picked her up swirling her around.
âIs that a new dress? Itâs so pretty!â He said smiling which he rarely did.
âItâs new, Gramma got it for me. Do you like my shoes?â She said doing a little dance as he put her gently back on the ground.
âSlow down princess you dance better than daddy alreadyâ Duane said ribbing Jack placing Patricia in her booster seat in the back.
Jack gave Duane a side glance as he fumbled with buckling her in. âI killed the MTV awards. Brandy was impressed.â Jack defended himself
âMy daddy is nice. Itâs ok he canât dance, right daddy? Mommy can teach you.â Patricia said
âSeems like I have a lot to learn from mommy.â Jack said furrowing his brow as he struggled with the seat.
âWhatchu doing bro? Itâs like this. Patricia donât like the strap coming too close to her neck.â Duane said as he stepped in to adjust what Jack was trying to do.
By this time in the morning Jack was feeling incompetent. When it came to Patricia everyone did everything so much better than him for herâŠso he thought. He didnât know how much his little girl appreciated when he was home to do the little things like take her to school. This was her first day of kindergarten. She had gone to daycare and pre-school. Jack wanted her well socialized.
He had just come from a press run for his new movie, making it back in time for this special day, but he had missed many a special day which had you frustrated.
Patricia started singing First Class in the backseat. Jack felt given the day and the occasion that he would play it for her. He didnât like listening to music in the car that much but for Patricia of course he made an exception. You called while they were on their way.
âHey baby.â Jack yelled through to the speaker âSheâs fine and on her way.â
âIâm so sorry Iâm missing this pumpkin booâ you croaked mid cough trying to call out to your little girl.
âHas your fever come down?â Jack asked concerned. He didnât know how long he could look after Patricia single handedly while you were sick, and he saw now how much just getting her ready for school took, now he had to rush and get a few things done before pick up.
âItâs all good. Took some Tylenol and restingâ you said
âGood. I love you baby. I donât know how you do everything and make it look easy.â Jack said to you feeling truly grateful.
âOh youâre welcome Mr.Harlowâ you said with a smile âPatricia baby have the bestest day!â You called out to her enthusiastically
âThatâs âbestâ mommy, âbestestâ isnât a word. Maybe you should go back to school too mommy.â Patricia said seriously making Duane cover his mouth to hide his laughter.
âOk Jack leaving you with your mini-me bye!â You said and signed off
âBabyâŠno donât leave me!â Jack said giggling
It wasnât the usual scene of a little girl being dropped off to school with two men that were over 6feet tall with shades on and one looking like he was guarding the president. She was going to a private school with other rich kids but there werenât any kids with famous parents at the school. Kentucky wasnât a place with a lot of celebrities so Jack got stared at wherever he went but people for the most part kept their distance to respect his privacy. Kindergarteners however were a different story.
Kids ran up to them wanting Duane to pick them up and ride on his shoulders and they were trying to do the same to Jack. They were like giants in a sea of ants who were all over them, like little koalas climbing trees.
âOk everyone that is enough!â The teacher said and they all giggled and stopped their unified assault, sliding down and plopped to the ground. Patricia was just looking around distracted by her new classroom and not understanding what the big deal was.
Mothers were embarrassed they were dropping their kids off with messy top buns and yoga pants not expecting Jack to be there but you instead, and certainly not a towering security guard. Both the men felt like specimens under a glass as women looked at them shyly and teachers melted as they passed by.
Patriciaâs teacher Miss. Smith was having none of it. âSettle down children!â She said exasperated already.
Duane put his fingers in his mouth and whistled and they all stopped and got onto the carpet sitting like little ducks. It was like magic.
The teacher was in shock. âCan I borrow him for the day?!â She asked Jack about Duane.
âYou can borrow me if you want tooâ Duane said flirting with the teacher and she blushed.
âNo Miss Smith Duaney is mine, but you can get your own bodyguard right daddy?â Patricia said physically getting in between Miss Smith and Duane to which they all held back giggles.
âPâ as Jack called Patricia and stooped down to chat with her on her level. âThis is big girl time. If you need daddy or Duane you call. Mommy is sick today.â Jack said nervously and getting emotional.
âDaddy Iâll be fine thereâs no monsters here.â Patricia said reasonably. âDuaney you can go. Iâm okâ
âOk princess. Iâll see you later.â Duane said âIâll see you later too Miss Smith have a nice dayâ
âOk big guy time to go.â Jack said ushering Duane out of the room as Duane was stuck looking at Miss Smith like a little boy with a crush on the teacher âGoodbye kids! Bye P.â Jack said waving to all the children and blowing Patricia a kiss to which she waved back slightly embarrassed with a smile focused on Miss Smith.
Patricia liked Miss Smith already as she was warm and friendly like you, and like Jack she was competitive making sure she sat right in front so Miss Smith could see her.
âDang, teachers are kinda cute.â Duane said wistfully as he looked around walking through the hall as they left. Every teacher was pretending to be busy not noticing them walk past their doors.
Iâm available for drop off every day. Iâm here for you boss.â Duane said saluting Jack
âThank you for your service.â Jack said rolling his eyes.
Back at home Jack looked tired and it was only 10:00AM. He sat down on the couch and breathed a deep sigh putting his feet up and pecking you on the cheek. You had spent the morning wrapped up in a blanket and nursing your cold. You were starting to feel better.
âYou look worse than me. What happened?â You asked in disbelief
âKindergarteners are fucking insane.â Jack said looking like he needed a hard drink âI canât believe I have to go back in just a few hours to pick her up.â
âSounds rough.â You laughed in between coughing which was milder now
âYou sound better baby.â Jack said sweetly as he placed a hand on your forehead to check if your temper went down.
âI do and thank you for dropping her off. Iâm so sorry I missed her moment.â You said regretfully
âWell it was time for me to have a big moment with her.â Jack said swallowing a lump of guilt in his throat. âIâll be here more, Iâll do better I swear.â
âI know you will. Thanks for hearing me out last night. The last thing I ever want to do is make you feel bad.â You said looking deeply into his blue eyes that always seemed to see into your soul.
âYouâre right Y/N. Itâs not all about work all the time. Not anymore with you and P.â Just then the puppy barked as if to say Jack forgot someone and jumped into his lap.
âOh and Y/N just for the record, keep Duane away from Miss Smith.â Jack said laughing as he snuggled up to you and pups.
Scalvo shows up unannounced looking for a place to hide from the copsâŠagain
18 + ONLY - ADULT THEMES & LANGUAGE
âHide meâ Scalvo said as you opened the door and he rushed in and ducked down behind your couch.
âBoy if you donât get your fugitive ass out of my living roomâŠâ you said tired of his shenanigans âWhat did you do this time?â
âFuck Y/N just hide me somewhereâ he said having no time for your attitude.
âGo in the basement in the cold cellar room and sit there for a bit but if Iâm swatted I will have your ass.â You said firmly as you scurried him down the stairs.
âI was hoping youâd have my ass later.â Scalvo said forever stealing your heart with his cheeky answers.
You hadnât seen him in a while. He was avoiding police AGAIN with promises to straighten himself out and move with you to another state and start over but it was always some version of this and you were tired. You stopped picking up the calls from jail and blocked him on social media but he had a way of worming his way back in. Just then came the knock on your door you had been dreading.
âMiss Y/N?â The officer asked you as you opened the door trying to look like you just woke up.
âThatâs meâ you fake yawned.
âWe understand you are a known associate of a guy that goes by the name of Scalvo. Have you seen him lately?â The other officer questioned.
âI do know a Scalvo. Tall guy, slim, curly hair?â You said acting like you werenât 100% sure. âItâs been a while since Iâve seen old Scalvo.â
âDo you mind if we come inside and take a look.â They said flashing their badges
âWith a warrant you can look all you like.â You said knowing they would have to go get a warrant and come back giving Scalvo time to get away.
âAlright miss, I see you know your rights, weâll be back have a good evening.â They said and as soon as they got back into their cruiser you ran downstairs to let Scalvo out of the cold cellar.
âScalvy baby are you ok?â You said lovingly as you opened the door to the pitch black room and he was shivering sitting with all your stored potatoes and other foods.
âThank you again baby. I promise I will stop putting you in this position. I have something lined up in Florida. You want to move with me to the sunshine?â He said holding you by the waist and planting a sumptuous kiss on your waiting lips. It had been too long. âI was so heartbroken when you stopped taking my calls from jail.â He said nuzzling into your neck just grazing your skin with his ample bottom lip that drove you crazy. He missed your scent and wanted to savour this moment.
âI canât do this with you anymore. I told you that.â You said achingly
âBaby I swear I got you. They on some bullshit, I never did what they said I did. I got mixed up with the wrong people and..â he was starting to explain but you stopped him.
âSame old same oldâ you said walking away as he followed you up the stairs into the kitchen âI donât want to hear it. Are you hungry?â
âIâm starving.â He said pulling you back as you started making him a sandwich. You couldnât help but send him back out there into his crazy life on a full stomach. He was the love of your life and he knew it.
âStop.â You said putting a hand on his pecs to press the pause button on what he wanted. What you both wanted. âTheyâll be back. We donât have time for this.â
âScalvoâŠIâmâŠIâm pregnant and itâs yours.â You said unexpectedly. He suspended his breath in shock but a smile immediately crept onto his face revealing his dimples under his beard.
âY/N thatâs amazing news! Imma be a dad?â He said excitedly holding his head and pacing around the kitchen. âCome with me now weâll head South.â He said urgently.
âCan you just leave?â You said crumbling into a pile of tears.
âIâm not going anywhere without my 2 babyâs now.â He said holding you tenderly. This was a love you had no chance of escaping. It had always been you and him helping each other survive without any parents. He went one way and you kept trying to make him do better. You were just two former foster kids that met in the last foster home you were in before you graduated high school. It was love at first sight and Scalvo was fiercely faithful and loyal to you. Thatâs why you stuck by him.
âPack your bags Y/N. Florida here we come.â Scalvo said looking deeply into your eyes for a yes.
âIâm not going on the run with a baby.â You said reasonably.
âOk have it your way but you know Iâd take a bullet for you.â He said unequivocally.
âIn your case thatâs a real possibility. Please donât say that.â You said rubbing your stomach.
âThatâs it then. Iâm turning myself in.â He said boldly.
âWhat? Youâll go back to jail. Thatâs crazy.â You said in disbelief.
âBut Iâll be here. Theyâll lock me up in county for a bit and Iâll be back out. Iâll keep my nose clean and move in here with you. Florida can wait⊠or neverâŠyouâre right. I have to stop running.â He said realizing his whole life was beginning now with this baby.
âYouâre absolutely sure because you donât have to go back to jail just to be here.â You said afraid of him getting a long time because of all his prior convictions.
âYes I do. I wouldnât have it any other way. Drive me to the station.â He said and you could tell he wouldnât hear anything else.
You reluctantly grabbed your keys. âI love you.â You said holding your car keys so tight they dug into the palm of your hand with you barely noticing.
âI have always been sure of that since we were kids.â He said moving closer and towering over you. âCan we have one quick last time before we do this?â He said softly begging to be with you, his skin and your skin becoming one.
You put down your keys and led him to the bedroom you shared whenever he was around. Scalvo had no home. Home was always just wherever you were. You shut the door on what awaited him and soaked each other in for however long you had before they came back to take him away.
Jack makes one phone call that might be his biggest mistake yet

Saying Goodbye
âOk Jack donât fuck this up.â You chided before you left. âDiapers are here, and do it the way I showed you or she gets real fussy.â
Jack had baby Patricia over his shoulder burping her as you gathered your things nervously. You had to take this unexpected trip as your mom was not doing well and bringing baby Patricia just wasnât a good idea. Jack cancelled everything to watch Patricia. You agreed when she was born that there would be no nannies. Just family and friends helping. His family was good for backup and were happy to help but as a new mom it was harder to leave than you thought.
You kissed Jack and kissed Patricia for the 4th time and patted her little back to which she burped instantly. âHow did you just do that?â Jack said in awe of your way with her. He felt like the luckiest man in the world having you as the mother of his child.
âOk baby Iâm gone the Uberâs hereâ You said hurriedly
âYou got your phone?â Jack reminded
âShit! I left it on the kitchen tableâ You said in despair
âOn itâ Jack said running back for it with baby Patricia along for the ride with a satisfied smile having been fed and burped resting on Daddy who she loved his warmth and smell.
âAnd donât forget you have that one thing you couldnât get out of tomorrow at 8:00AM. You got backup?â You double checked before stepping into the Uber âAnd I pumped milk for the whole time itâs in the fridge labeled with the date of expiry. Call me if you need help, and Clay needs that thing from you by today, oh andâŠâ
âIf you donât get in that Uber immaâŠâ Jack said closing the door on you. âSay bye mommy.â He said to Patricia who is only 4 months old so she just gave you a drooling smile showing her dimples like her dad.
You waved goodbye behind the tinted glass.
No Backup
âMom pick up!â Jack said in a sweat. It was 7:00AM and no sign of anyone coming to help. He had not asked anyone in advance to babysit and just took it for granted he would have help. He couldnât reach anyone and it was almost time for his big meeting with Atlantic about renegotiation his contract. He only had one option but he was afraid to use it. Tianna was an ex girlfriend of Jackâs. The one ex he hadnât told you the whole truth about. Early in dating you Jack slipped up and cried on Tiannaâs shoulder about you choosing to take a job in another city. One thing led to another and the rest was buried history. He reluctantly dialled the number he swore to you he had deleted.
âJack?â Tianna answered in shock
âTâŠhowâs things?â Jack said nervously
âIâm sure you know with your little Finsta.â Tianna said stiffly. Jack hadnât called in over a year. It was hard for Tianna to be âarchivedâ along with countless other girls. Jack told her theyâd always be friends and then he completely moved on with you and the baby.
âTâŠI ainât got no time I need a massive favour.â Jack begged. Tianna was never going to say no.
âSounds serious whatâs up?â She said concerned
âI need a babysitter. Iâll pay you top dollar.â Jack blurted out.
âOh fuck no!â Tianna refused
âPlease T, itâs the biggest meeting of my career, Y/N is out of town her mom is ill, and I canât reach anyone else thatâs responsible.â Jack said exasperated
Tianna was silent on the other end. Definitely Jack would not be telling you about this. She was surprised he hadnât deleted her number like she heard you had demanded.
âT? You there?â Jack asked in that warm smooth tone Tianna missed hearing so badly
âUh huhâ is all she said âFor some reason. Iâm still fucking here.â
âT..I swear, I had to stay away, you know why.â Jack explained âI will make it up to you for this. Patricia is real sweet. She wonât be any trouble.â
âOh yes Patricia you named her after your aunt. We were going to name our daughter that remember?â Tianna said painfully. It wasnât all Jackâs fault it didnât work out.
âT please. Maybe after this we can sit down and talk.â Jack said softly. He felt terrible what he did to Tianna but he met you and everything in his life changed.
Tianna had gotten pregnant but miscarried and was tired of Jack and other girls always putting their 2 cents into the relationship and crazy fans so she ended it and started over. She remained single unable to be with anyone else but the whole fame thing wasnât for her. Jack was her first and only true love, but she knew you were better for him in so many ways.
They remained friends and she liked you and felt awful about her and Jack having hurt you. She disappeared for a while to find herself in France and just returned to Louisville to regroup, sell everything, and move to LA to pursue her acting dream. This call was not expected but welcome. She felt she never got good closure with Jack and maybe this was her chance. She was closing this chapter and leaving for good anyway.
âI canât believe Iâm saying this but sure. Iâll watch her for you. It will be nice actually and to catch up beforeâŠâ She stopped herself not wanting to tell Jack too much just yet. She had to practice not being an open book for him.
âBefore what?â He asked preoccupied with snapping Patriciaâs onesie on and her cuteness
âNothing, drop her off Iâm here. Iâll take good care of her.â Tianna said
âI know you will. Thatâs why I called.â Jack said fondly âLook T, Iâm sorry about EVERYTHING.â
âYup no worries I moved on in a big way. France reset me.â Tianna said majorly brushing Jack off.
âIâll be by in 15mins!â Jack said rushing before Tianna changed her mind.
The Drop Off
Jack pulled up and Tiannaâs heart was pounding in her ears. It was harder than she thought to see him get Patricia out of the car balancing bags and her stroller. She took a deep breath and opened the door.
âHey.â Jack said searching her eyes for forgiveness he knows he wasnât owed
âHey.â Tianna said âCome on in. This the little peanut Patricia?â She said playfully already smiling at the baby and taking her out of her carseat.
âHowâs it been?â Jack asked âFrance was good to you I see. You look great.â
âThanks I feel greatâ Tianna lied
Jack took a quick look around a place he was very familiar with but felt strange standing in Tiannaâs living room. He noticed boxes lying around and it looked very sparse and smelled like lysol.
âSpring cleaning? Whatâs going on?â He said feeling something was up knowing he didnât really have time for the answer.
âUm Iâm taking the plungeâŠmoving to L.A.â Tianna said seeing it as her big chance to let him know he didnât ruin her.
âL.A.â Jack said sitting down to process it
âYeah you know some of our friends are out there.â Tianna said matter of factly
âYeah but thatâs not like you to take risks like that.â Jack said concerned. It was getting to him like Tianna hoped it would.
âIâm different now. Things I went throughâŠthat we went through changed me and I canât look back.â She said with Patricia now fast asleep in her arms. âYou took risks now youâre JACK HARLOWâ
âYeah but you hated all the shit that comes with fame remember?â He said disappointed they had drifted apart so much he had no idea what was happening. Not that he had a right to know anymore.
âI doâŠwell I didâŠidk I just need to get out of here. Iâve outgrown Kentucky. Like you did.â Tianna reasoned
âYeah T but I came back. This is where my heart is my whole life, my familyâŠâ Jack said not finishing
âI know and sheâs amazing. Iâm a happy man.â Jack said truly of you and it felt good to say that to Tianna who had issues of her own Jack put up with for a long time. The conversation was making him realize how fine he was with Tianna leaving.
âT, I wish you all the best. Go kill it in L.A.â He said sincerely giving her a hug. âI figured you might appreciate this time with Patricia and I hope you have your own one day. Iâll be back in a bit. Call me if she needs anything and thanks. This was the talk we needed to have. Now I can block you.â He said cheekily
âShut up!â Tianna said punching him in the arm
The Pick Up
âSo how did it go?â Tianna said bouncing Patricia as she slept after an afternoon of play and a walk.
âI came out on top thanks to Drama and my lawyers.â Jack said smiling
âBy that smile I can tell you gained a few more zeros.â Tianna said happy for Jack. The class clown turned legend would always amaze her.
âJust a few.â Jack said. âCanât wait to celebrateâ
âWith baby and Y/N as you should.â Tianna said catching a lump in her throat. âAs you can see sheâs knocked out. We played and went for a walk.â
âTâ Jack said taking a longer look at Tianna than her heart could take âThank you. For all of it.â As he pulled away Tianna felt herself fold from his warmth and brushing the curls down the back of his neck with her cheek.
He hugged her and took Patricia in her carseat securing her in the back of his Jeep. âIâll Cashapp you something real nice. Help with settling into L.A. Youâre the bestâ and with that the white Jeep slowly backed out of the driveway with precious cargo in the backseat having a nap not knowing all the things aunty Tianna whispered in her ear about being great and watching out for daddy. The love of her life.
âI should not have done that.â Tianna said closing the door sliding down to the floor and burying her tearful eyes in her hands.
Jack had time to reflect on his visit with Tianna. He was riding a wave of emotions and when you called Patricia âpeanutâ he realized Tianna had called her the same thing and he smiled to himself. If he didnât have his emergency with Patricia, Tianna would have left for good and he never would have had the chance for the closure he got. Now it was all about you and his future.
âI missed you baby and Iâm glad my future mother in law is ok.â Jack said lovingly giving you a sloppy bear hug.
âThanks babe and thanks for holding down the fort.â You said taking off your shoes and plopping down on the couch beside Jack taking the baby from him. Jack had really missed you. After you being gone and seeing his ex he decided to ask you to marry him when you got back. He had to leave no room for old feelings creeping back. Plans were underway with his family for the secret event much to his momâs surprise and joy in this âsuddenâ change in plans.
That night after you put Patricia down Jack popped a bottle of champagne and had your favourite dinner delivered with a bouquet of fresh velvety red roses. âWhatâs all this?â You said flabbergasted
âJust a little something to show my appreciation of you.â He said grazing your lips with his own luscious pink pillowy pout pressing deeper tangling your tongue with his and pressing himself against you.
âDamn I should go away more oftenâ You said as he relaxed his grip on you. He still had the ability to make you feel drunk with one kiss.
You took bites of each otherâs food and it was great to hear all about Patriciaâs goings on. Jack never mentioned his emergency and Tianna babysitting and he never would. No sense in upsetting you when Tianna was leaving for good and he wasnât in love with her anyway. You thought Jack had erased Tiannaâs number but he just had it stored under a different name because he meant to check on her sometimes with the way he left things and not have you flip out.
âY/N I have never thought my bachelor days would be over.â Jack said reaching for your hand as you sipped champagne and shared a piece of cheesecake for desert and soft jazz playing.
You almost choked on a piece of cake. âWhat do you mean?â Is all you could say and then it happened.
He reached into his pocket and produced a tiny box cracking it open. It shone so brightly in its high solitaire antique setting it blinded you at first as it caught the light. It was his grandmotherâs engagement ring he had reset with a single large princess cut pink diamond.
You stopped breathing and your heart was beating like a rabbit. You extended your shaking hand as he slid the heirloom on your finger. âJack, why? What? Why now? I thought we were waiting untilâŠâ You said breathlessly feeling hot and cold at the same time and confused.
âI ainât waiting any longer to marry my sunshine.â Jack said calling you by your nickname âSo Y/N will you marry meâŠum and Patricia I guess like are we gone do this?â
âYes!! Of course yes!!â You said excitedly sharing a kiss with him just in time for Patriciaâs cry out for some attention.
âLetâs tell her the good newsâ He said looking at you like his whole world. While you headed to the bedroom to pick up Patricia, he took his phone out of his pocket to call his family and tell them he finally gave you a ring and saw 4 missed calls from âTJâ and a text âGoodbye Louisville. Hello L.A. đâđŸâ
He smiled and hit block on the number and dialled his parents. No need to keep that tie anymore. So he thought.

THE CLUB
Jack saw you walk in from where he was on the upper floor. You didnât even know he was there. He had heard about you from The Homies talking about some girl named Y/N. âNaw she like fine fine bruh.â They said as they couldnât shut up about meeting you. âAnd real cute, down to earth, you know how Midwest girls are.â They said nudging Jack as they hung out by Indiâs Chicken one day. It was always great to come home and chill. Jack was a Kentucky boy through and through.
âDonât have to tell me brother.â Jack said with a side grin. âShe all that huh?â He said to them as he finished his milk shake with a loud slurp.
âYeah bruh. Cute as hell.â They all confirmed
âInvite her out tonight thenâ Jack said âThe more the merrierâ
âBet, unlike these losers, I got her private IG.â Ace said as him and Jack parted ways âIâm texting her right now.â
âShe on private huh?â Jack said with a raised brow. He was bored with the current selection in his hometown and had been with more than a few local girls making it hard to date. Meeting someone from out of town sounded fun and he preferred talking to people as private as him.
Jack had never really seen the guys like this about a girl. She must be SOMETHING. When he saw you he recognized you from the kickball game. Cutesy face, and thick as hell. He snuck down to the main area of the club. âI gotta see for myself what this chick is all aboutâ he thought. âHey Y/N?â You heard from behind you and a tap on your shoulder.
There was no mistaking whose voice that was. âIn the fleshâ You said sweetly turning around and causally sipping on your drink. This lit a spark in Jack he couldnât explain and not sure he liked it.
âNot your typical way to answer that question.â Jack said. He was used to having a very disarming affect on women.
âYeah you from the kickball game right? Even seen you at a couple shows. You know my boys huh?â He said trying to strike up a convo.
âYeah, a little bit. They dope.â You answered. âCanât believe youâre out. You donât club it much as far as I know.â You said looking quizzically at him.
Jack couldnât believe how regular you were treating him. âHow she talking to me like Iâm just some dude?â You were so chill it was throwing him off.
Just then The Homies started coming in. Ace came up to you immediately. âY/N!â He excitedly said hugging you. Jack felt a way about Ace hugging you but didnât know why.
âI live here nowâ You announced
âDa fuck!?â Ace said taking a few steps back while holding onto your hand which Jack was uncomfortable with. âSweet, weâll have to hangâ Ace said hugging you again and holding on for a bit too long.
âShit. Why did I tell him that?â You said to yourself as he seemed way too excited and you didnât like him like that.
âY/N lets dance!â Your friend said pulling you to the dance floor. Jack and Ace watched as you disappeared onto the crowded dance floor.
Jack could see Ace was much more interested than you were âWhat a weird chick.â He thought, but was curious.
THE GYM
âAnd 1! 2! 3!â The instructor shouted. âGet those knees up!â Why you decided to go to spin class after a night out you didnât know. You regretted it the whole time but you werenât the type to make excuses. As you were wiping your brow and downing some water you noticed someone in a hoodie over his head and headphones in a corner with a trainer.
âIâd know those curls popping out of that hoodie anywhere.â You said but headed to the treadmill as you didnât want to bother him. You would enjoy the view of Jack working out from a distance.
âCome on bruh. Just a couple more. Itâs light weight.â The trainer encouraged Jack.
âUghhh!â Jack grunted as he did his last lift, the barbell crashing to the floor.
âDassit!â His trainer exclaimed âYou a beast man! Now rest for a bit.â He said
Jack took his headphones off and his hoodie as he was panting heavily. He threw his head back and downed an entire bottle of water in one go, his wet curls cascading and clinging to his face.
You almost fell off the treadmill watching him. He went back into his set. He bent over to lift the bar. This time his trainer added more weight. You looked on practically drooling as he clenched his butt and pulled on the bar.
âUghhhh!â He said loudly as he dropped the bar again.
âHe really needs to stop doing that.â You said to yourself trying to think of something else, you changed the music in your headphones and the incline on the machine. You decided to work off the sexual tension you were filled with by going hard.
âHey easy tiger.â It was that voice behind you again. You heard it through your headphones. That deep raspy smooth voice rumbled through one of his songs you were listening to right now. Ironically this was like a scene right out of Funny Seeing You Here. You felt his presence strongly behind you and pretended not to hear.
Jack came around to the front of the treadmill now to get your attention. You flashed him a sweaty smile and continued running. It was hard for him to believe you fully intended on finishing what you were doing and not acting at all surprised to see him.
He waited for you to finish. âShe on one.â He thought as he texted Urban. He was slightly irritated and turned on at the same time. âYou finally done?â He said with tension in his voice as you slowed way down to a walk panting heavily.
âSorry, you waiting to use the machine?â You asked him plainly like he was anyone.
Jack couldnât believe you right now. âNawâ is all he could manage to say. He handed you your towel.
âThanksâ you said flippantly âNice set.â You complimented motioning over to where you had seen him lifting weights âYou really do be on demon time, and it shows.â You flung your towel over your shoulder nonchalantly and started walking away.
You threw him off again with the compliment while not seeming at all interested in him. This sent his competitive nature into overdrive.
âYou want to hit the juice bar? My treatâ Jack offered catching up with you.
âUm sure, thank you.â You said cautiously. You had heard about Jack and rappers in general.
âLetâs drink these outsideâ He said wanting to talk to you outside of the noisy gym.
You followed him to a grassy area through the patio doors of the juice bar into the fresh breeze, leaving the blaring music and hot stuffy gym in the distance.
âAfter youâ Jack said letting you sit down on the bench first. You intimidated him and he wasnât used to feeling that.
âSo itâs Y/N right? That what people call you?â He asked.
âMy full name is Y/N but Y/N will doâ You said slurping on your fresh green juice.
âAlways a smart fucking answer.â He thought. âOk Y/N will do.â He said slightly irritated with air quotes âYou just moved here?â
âIs this an interview?â You said flashing a cocky grin
âYeah its a fuking interview.â Jack shot back âBut I just decided Iâm not hiringâ He got up to leave in a huff, fed up with your slick answers.
âJack, chill out, Iâm just playing. Come on sit.â You said apologetically patting the spot beside you.
He was embarrassed he was showing his sensitivity and sat back down blushing. You had control and he didnât know how you got it.
âI am a researcher and Iâm doing my masters degree. Iâm in Kentucky for work and⊠just a change, I guess.â You said not wanting someone with Jackâs reputation with women to know too much about you.
Jack admired you immediately. He was so impressed and in awe that you were not trying to be all up in the scene. You had your fun sometimes but was hard at work like him. âI really admire you for all youâre doing.â He said honestly âMost girls I know just trying to get with some rapper for a comfortable life.â
âUm no not me.â You said assuredly âI am set on furthering my education. I guess Iâm a nerd to you and your friends. Welp, thanks for the juice Jackman.â You said tossing your cup. You were so nervous you gulped it down and had a brain freeze you were trying not to show.
âHa!â He said pointing at you âI knew you were a real fan! Fucking knew it!!â He danced in victory as you had broken your cool facade by saying his government name. Only true fans called him Jackman and you did so casually.
âI donât know what you mean. You alright, but lot of misses for me tbh.â You said trying to gain your power back.
âNaw, you said it. You outted yourself!â He was in trash talking mode now. âI knew it. I was like no way this girl so cool around me every time.â
This bothered you a bit. âHold on Mr. Harlow.â You said looking him dead in the eye. âDonât go thinking youâre all that.â You poked his chest with that tempting bit of chest hair poking out from his tank top.
âWell if there was ever any doubt youâre from the Midwest there it goes.â He said having fun now with this crack in your facade.
âHow did you know that?â You said surprised
âMy guys told me.â Jack said âLook letâs start over⊠Hi, Iâm Jack.â He said holding out his soft hand for a truce handshake.
âWhat is this Chicken Shop Date?â You giggled âMighty soft hands for someone lifting that kind of weight.â You said flirtatiously.
Your cool demeanour and ambition had Jack hooked âYouâre not like these airheads out here.â He complimented moving close to so nobody could easedrop. âCan I take you out sometime?â
âThat would be nice.â You said screaming inside with him moving in so close you could feel the heat from his body that towered over you.
âDamn. I gotta focus on her intelligence cuz that is a whole lotta ass.â Jack said to himself as he was mesmerized by the switch of your ass watching you walk in front of him. If you were his girl he would have slapped it from you being so sassy.

âWhere the fuck are you going Y/N?â Jack said surprised to see you packing. He just got back from recording in LA and was going to take a few weeks off.
âI actually made some friends and Iâm heading off for a weekend in the country!â You squealed with glee, but Jack did not have a smile on his face. ââŠand nice to see you too sheesh.â You said rolling your eyes and pushing past him to get to your closet. You were forgetting your crocks and hoping to find a spot for them in your open and overflowing suitcase on the bed.
âNo the fuck you aint.â He said like a domineering father.
âAwwww Jackman youâll be fine without me for 72hours.â You said cheerily finally getting your suitcase closed by sitting on it.
â72 fucking hours ainât a weekend last I checked.â He said grumpily
âYouâll be fine.â You said ignoring his exasperation and checking the group chat for any updates on who was picking you up when. Jack was a tad dramatic anyway so you didnât really take him seriously at the moment.
âNot very professional coming from my assistantâ he mumbled now distinctly in a bad mood.
âIâm not your assistant. Iâm a house guest remember?â You responded now getting irritated that Jack refused to give you any titles in his life whatsoever. Long story short, something happened one night that you both agreed should not have, and had not happened since.
You were renovicted from your apartment as the building was being turned into fancy condos so Jack offered you a place to stay until you found another place. While staying with him you started helping Kat with some work and his team realized how good you were at helping him stay organized. They offered you a job and Jack said no. He was developing feelings for you and didnât want to mix business with anything more complicated personally. This caused major tension as you felt he was unfairly blocking you from an opportunity and you had a huge fight. He wound up confessing his feelings and makeup sex didnât make up for anything as he still would not define your relationship.
You were still helping Kat as now an unpaid intern and Jack felt that one night was a mistake and he needed to focus on his career so nothing happened again. He would lay in his bed alone trying to shake the memory. So many nights he texted you to come to his room but deleted it. You both talked about when you would leave and you told Jack about your other plans but he put a stop to that and said he could find you other opportunities and for you to stay in Louisville.
To say you fell hard for him was an understatement. The whole situation was confusing and you didnât realize how much it was draining you. You started writing a book but having to move short notice derailed the whole thing. You had a publisher waiting and were panicking. Jack suggested you stay until you finished it. He believed in you and didnât want to be the cause of you loosing your focus either.
This limbo with him had become your new normal. Stolen glances across the breakfast table, incidental brushes passed in the hallway never amounting to little more than frustration but both of you were dedicated to your dreams so didnât cross the line again. You had to avert your eyes when he would be rushing to get ready drinking tea and checking his phone while fresh out of the shower in a towel around his waist and wet curls.
He had to do the same seeing you prance around in a tank top and sleep shorts with a bonnet on and fuzzy slippers. The way he wanted to bend you over sometimes was too much. In a weird way though you two became happy roommates. There was only one thing Jack wanted and that was for you to be around when he was in town. He said this was for work purposes but it was because he missed you so much when he was away. To see you packing now when you knew he was back made him downright angry.
You hadnât done it purposely but you had made a new group of friends in the writing community in Louisville and everyone was going on this retreat to work on projects in an idyllic Kentucky country setting. Jack didnât like there were guys in this group. Sensitive types that were accomplished authors. Just the type that you could bond with intellectually and leave him forever. He knew conversation was your love language so even while he was away he called often but felt like he didnât have what it took to really stimulate you mentally like those guys.
You felt like you were starting to slip away and maybe it was for the best because nothing was possible with Jack anyway. This one guy in the group Jason was so engaging and you were looking forward to his reading circles and getting to know him this weekend. Jack knew how much you liked Jasonâs new novel. He felt so jealous every time he caught you curled up with pups reading it.
âYou really like this Jason character huh?â Jack said one night as he had his feet up watching soccer and you were deeply immersed in Jasonâs book. He felt like swatting it out of your hands.
âItâs such a moving story. I hope to be half as good as thisâ You said wistfully smiling showing your one dimple and pushing up your glasses which drove Jack crazy.
âI have no doubt youâre way better than that.â Jack said disdainfully of Jason.
âIâm honoured to even know him. Want some popcorn?â You said cheerily getting pups off you and heading to the kitchen. It was one of your more lazy days at home and you had no idea that Jack was in heaven there with you. He would occasionally glance at you and smile while you were reading wishing you could lay on him and he could hold you giving you kisses on the top of your head as he watched the game. He snapped out of his delusion with the Jason conversation.
âHey missy did you write at all today?â He would often chide when things he didnât want to think about crept in or uncomfortable feelings.
âNope. Iâm chilling today.â You said happily taking a huge handful of popcorn. Jack promptly ripped the bowl away from you.
âYou want to be as good as some dork Jason? Get off the couch and go to your room and writeâ he said firmly.
âFuck you.â You said defiantly grabbing another handful before heading for your room. You knew he was right but didnât like his bossy tone.
He settled in with pups with a smile on his face knowing he had disrupted your time with Jasonâs book and knocked it off the couch for extra enjoyment.
Fast forward back to now. He felt a tightness in his chest with anxiety creeping in. âDoes Kat know youâre doing this?â He questioned
âDoing what?â You said distractedly with air quotes as you texted Emily you were almost ready.
âY/N.â Jack said trying to get your attention âI need details. You live here, and I kinda feel responsible if anything happens to you.â He said concerned
âJack itâs all good. Emily will be here in like 15mins donât worry thereâs going to be 20 people there. Jason is leading the whole thing for up and comers like me and Iâm so excited to learn from him. I really need his advice.â
âYou wonât be up and cumming at all at any point on this trip understand?â He said looking down on you every bit asserting his 6 foot 3 frame.
âRelax alpha maleâ You said touching his chest in a way that made him raise an eyebrow and tingle. Old Jack would have you on your back so fast it would make your head spin, but he had matured and just hoped one day when he had more time for a relationship he hadnât permanently fucked it up with you.
âIâll see you in a few days. Only call me in an EMERGENCY. Got it? And look after my puppy.â You said roughing up pupâs curly fur and kissing her while she panted joyfully in Jackâs arms. Emily texted she was downstairs. You gathered your things and stepped into the elevator that opened up directly into Jackâs penthouse.
âYouâre upsetting pups but have fun.â Jack said cradling her as if protecting her from your cruelty.
You breathed a deep sigh of relief as the elevator doors closed. Jack was passed clingy now and totally dependent on you. âWell pups itâs just you and me here this weekend. Or does it have to be?â He said picking up his phone and scrolling to see what ex would answer and come over, but that didnât feel right. He decided to order dinner since you werenât there to cook a home cooked meal and write some new stuff. A song about a girl he couldnât be with but couldnât leave.
PART 2
Jack was miserable the entire 3 days. Nobody could get him out of the house. He sank into a place where he just wrote songs in the dimly lit studio. He rejected offers to play soccer, to go to the Hub and DJ, to hang out with one of his exes who was just âchecking inâ that he easily could have had swing by and scratch his itch. The problem was he had nothing to scratch. You were on his mind heavy and he couldnât shake it.
âHunny Urban called me and said youâre in a funk. Want to talk to your old mom about it?â Jackâs mom said in her loving way when her son was in a low mood.
âNaw Iâll be fine I justâŠI need to just be more my own man.â He said reflectively
âWho is she this time?â His mom said completely unaware of the whole dynamic but had suspected Jack and you had something happen at some point. She just knew her son too well. You were completely what he was looking for and it bewildered her why you werenât a couple already. âDid you and Y/N have another argument? Hunny you know sheâs headstrong but sheâs an intelligent girl. Youâre a writer you get it.â
âWe didnât have a fight. Sheâs a good roommate.â Jack said dismissively
âOk Iâll pretend thatâs the truth.â His mom said
âShe justâŠshe doesnât understand certain things, like itâs not important to her, she just flounces around foot loose and fancy free ya know? Like her book is due and sheâs reading another book by some fucktard author sheâs crushing on. Makes no sense. She lacks discipline ya know?â Jack said way more than he wanted to.
âOh I see.â His mom replied pensively. âSheâs a fly by the seat of her pants kinda gal but works for you for free tending to your business everyday but sheâs not responsible. As I understand she cooks too with her busy schedule that revolves around you and looks after the dog? Is it maybe this little crush on someone else your issue?â
âYou know what? I need to focus and she needs to focus. She could never be my girl because I need someone so opposite to her. I mean the other day I walked in on her feeding pups extra treats and singing and dancing with her like what?â Jack said critically but obviously in pain missing your sweet goofiness.
âWow sounds like a real bad situation.â His mom said rolling her eyes on the other end but Jack could feel it.
âDonât roll your eyes at me mom.â He said defensively. âIt doesnât sound like a big deal but it is. You know what? As soon as she gets back imma tell her she needs to find somewhere else to go because this ainât working. I canât even have girls in my crib anymore like a normal man.â
âSo sheâs away? And whereâs all these girls in your crib as you say.â His mom asked. She had a way of talking to Jack that made him come to his own conclusions.
âMom donât start.â He said âSheâs irresponsible. She knows sheâs supposed to be here when Iâm here. Itâs unprofessional for her to just bounce and be out in god knows where countryside retreat or wherever the fuck she went with his Jason loser. So heâs written a few books. Does he have platinum records? Does anyone know who da fuck this guy is?â Jack fumed his anxiety on full display.
âWait. Y/N is on a writing retreat with THE Jason Meyers??? Hunny this is great for her! Heâs a 4 time New York Times bestselling author! This could be Y/Nâs big break!â His mom said excitedly
âYou know, why am I even talking to you? I gotta go pups is hungry and needs a walk.â Jack said using his dog as an excuse to get out of a conversation that was bringing up all his insecurities.
âOk hunny Iâm here if you need me I love you!â His mom said cheerfully
Jack was so frustrated nobody understood him. The walk with pups did him good and he went to the gym to work off some steam. He felt much better and was lying on the couch drifting off when he heard the elevator doors open and you rustling around. He jumped up and startled pups who ran to greet you. âHello pupsy wupsy!â You said so happy to see her.
âHey.â You said cooly to Jack
âSupâ He said ultra casually, not moving from the couch.
âItâs ok donât move to help with my suitcase.â You said sarcastically as you struggled with it down the hallway to your room.
âWasnât planning on it.â He said after you lazily snuggled in a blanket.
You had a great time, but wasnât going to tell Jack about the offer you had from Jason to read your manuscript and pitch it to his publisher to get you more money and way more exposure. Jack didnât seem to like Jason and it would only put him in a pissier mood than he already was these days. You decided to stay in your room away from him and got comfortable in bed so tired from the long drive.
You heard a soft knock on your door. âCome in.â You called out as you changed channels on the TV.
âDoes my breath stink or something? Why you didnât come out of your room?â Jack asked sitting on the bed. He was waiting for you to tell him all about it.
âJack. Leave me be please Iâm exhausted, and no time for whatever mood youâve been in.â You said honestly
âY/N can we talk?â He asked softly. You immediately knew it was important by the scrunch in his brow.
âOf course are you ok? Iâve been concerned. Youâre always so supportive and the minute I have this big opportunity to network youâre so down on me. Did I do something wrong?â You asked looking him directly in his warm blue eyes
âY/NâŠ.this thing weâre doing⊠or not doingâŠI canât do it anymore. While you were away I had a chance to think and talk to my mom and ummm, I hope we can still be friends butâŠâ He hesitated
âSay no more. Iâm as good as fucking gone. Lucky I havenât even unpacked because I wonât. Iâm out. If I can just sleep that would be great and then say no more. Iâll leave in the morning.â You said completely done at this point. âGet some other flunkie to watch your dog and make your breakfast, and schedule your life. I have things to do in MY LIFE!!!â You yelled and burst into tears. ââŠand fuck any deals. Fuck Jason fuck Kentucky!â
âWhoah whoah whoah what? Fuck Jason what happened? Did heâŠdid you guysâŠâ
âNo. Jason is engaged to a ballet dancer he is very much spoken for. I just admired him and his work.â You said now a teary mess. âHe offered to read my book and pitch to his publisher but fuck all that now. Every time I get something good I have to move again. I hate it here!!!! Kiss my ass bluegrass!!.â You said now full on bawling.
âY/N thatâs fantastic!!â Jack said but realized what he had done and how he had been making you feel for months. âIâm so sorry Iâm a complete fool.â
âYouâve always got me on some rollercoaster. Iâm the fool!â You said hitting him now in frustration âGet off my bed! Your bedâŠwhat the fuck ever! I donât fucking care anymore!â You yelled but Jack interrupted you with a massive tight hug and you collapsed in his arms so weary from fighting him and this âarrangementâ.
âI can do no right with you. Youâre sooooo fucking bossy!â You said but it felt so good to be hugged by him, to feel his warmth.
âY/N please I ainât that bad, am I?â Jack asked kind of knowing the answer.
âSo bossy.â You restated calming down now and blowing your nose.
âOk damn. I get it Iâm bossy.â He said partially offended but knowing he was hard on you because he didnât want to wind up in bed and in love. You had the potential to hurt him more than he could handle. With both of you distracted with work it was his hope it would prevent anything from happening âKiss my ass bluegrass is next level though that was too far.â He laughed.
âI was wrong.â He continued âI can learn from you and relax sometimes and I been an asshole pushing you. I thought you were hung up on Jason and I couldnât take it. I was a shell of myself when you left. I barely left the condo.â
âAre you serious?â You said between sniffles. âI was literally only gone for 3 days. Youâre kind of patheticâ
âThanks.â He said sarcastically âIâm just so dependent on you now and thatâs my fault. If you want to leave and find a real relationship I canât hold you, but if you give me a do over I would really really love that and I would show you I love you because I do. I realized how much the last little while so I amped up being a hard ass to run from my feelings. Matter fact, I got you something months ago and been too scared to give it to you. One secâ He said and disappeared. He returned with a jewelry box and gestured for you to take it.
You froze. Was this happening? âOne minute this man was ready to kick me out and now a damn near proposal?â You thought with your head pounding from all the crying and screaming. You waited for him to open the box.
Inside was a blinding diamond fountain pendant and chain. âWelcome to team Private Garden Y/N, my new Senior Assistant. I hope a salary of $150,000 a year is helpful and Kat now reports to you. I hope the title permanent live-in girlfriend suits you as well. No hiding, this our shit now and everyone will know. You cool with that?â
âWellâŠI donât know I might be on a book tour but Iâll see if I can pencil your little job offer in.â You said lifting up your hair as Jack placed the stunning piece around your neck. The fans seeing that symbol of being team PG was going to send the internet into a frenzy but for now you were savouring this moment.
âTake it or leave it, but please never leave me and pups again. I had left over pizza all weekend.â Jack said tackling you and planting a deep kiss on your lips with pups barking excitedly.
âWow. You are so sad.â You said teasing him and kissing him with his full weight on top of you, he started to rise and you knew it was the time you both had wanted for so long. You turned off your bedroom light âOh Jackâ you moaned.
