âI can teach you a few things, sigil work is easier than the other two. Itâs about embuing symbols with intent. The other options are satchets which are small bags carried on you for protection and what some refer to as witch or fairy lights. Iâm not sure if thatâs too advanced though.â Zedekiel was sitting on a stool a variety of herbs laid out behind him next to the sink in the back of the shop.

Sasha had come back multiple times to see Zedekiel, occasionally bringing her friend along. This time she was alone and she wanted to know more about these items and such. She leaned over to admire the herbs. âThat oneâs Mugwort ,â she mumbled to herself. That was the first step was identifying certain herbs.Â
âYou had me at fairy lights. But I think the sigil work might be easier for someone whose just learning. So letâs do that, sigils.â She smiled up at Zedekiel with a bit of excitement.
Zedekiel motioned for her to follow him, stepping back into the store room to grab a few small items. On a desk in the back room were pencils and a few calligraphy pens with ink of varying colors. âThere are a few ways to make sigils. One way is breaking a word of intent down into simple shapes and reforming them into your sign. Another is letting the energy direct you. But first I want you to practice drawing some of the old sigils.â A sheet of alchemical symbols, old signs of witch craft and intent, and other designs was placed beside the writing tools.
âWhen youâre comfortable focus on what the sign should do and start practicing.â He took a seat across the room at another work desk with the supplies he had pulled from the closet. âIf you need anything just ask.â
