long time no see wow

well well well, just logged into tumblr after like a year and noticed my description says i’m 19 and i’m actually 21 now lmao.

still at uni but in my final year and life is basically the same if not more stressful but one thing that has changed is i’m no longer a virgin and i have a boyfriend wowwee didnt expect to be updating with that news but he is lush beyond and i love him so much. yep so thats my news, will have a little scroll then piss off again hope everyone is good x

oh hello, it’s been like 6 years since I was last on here!!!!! don’t know how I’ve ended up on Tumblr today, but was keen for some nostalgia so logged back in. the life updates are coming:

Boyfriend mentioned above is STILL my boyfriend, we’ve been together almost 6 flipping years and now own a house together!! genuinely where has the time gone, 21 year old me would be fucking FLOORED by this information!!!! He’s genuinely the best person I know, we are having a lovely time in OUR HOME (sobs) and have sooo many plans for the future :)))) <3

I got my dream job in 2021 working in TV, worked my way up and then at the start of this year I was unexpectedly made redundant from the job, which honestly has knocked me for six, but we move, the job hunt has begun!!

I shall be seeing Harold in June, paid too much money for the tickets, but it’ll be worth is lollll, the fangirling never ends

Here’s an interesting thing about French! Everything needs to have an article in front of it. That’s why it’s “la chat” as opposed to just “chat”. So, for instance, you could say la fille for the girl, or jeune fille for young girl, but you can’t just say fille, because that means you are calling her a sex worker in a derogatory way.

The moral of the story is, if you want to make something rude in French, just take out the article in front of it. Yes, this works for nearly. every. word.

I think we can all agree on one thing: One Direction taught every fan how to have heart. I can confidently say the biggest piece of that is due to Louis and his family.

I’ve never known a family like theirs. Mixed siblings and chaos and hardships and smiles. Always so many smiles. No matter the circumstances. Tragedy strikes and they’re still the ones preaching how to be courageous, how to be resilient, how to be in the moment and embrace what life has handed out, regardless of the outcome.

I don’t know them personally. None of us do. We know what they allow us to know, as most celebrities do. But the thing is, Louis’ siblings aren’t celebrities. They were thrown into the media circus before they had a voice of their own. We all watched them grow up before our eyes. They’ve become influencers, their biggest legacy not fashion or beauty, but rather, their ability to promote kindness to an endless string of strangers, even when those strangers didn’t deserve it. They are honest. They are bold. They exude greatness. That’s something Jay taught them. We all know that. We know the kind of legacy that mother left behind.

Fizzy is special. Her presence has always been less demanding than her other siblings’, but that girl has a voice that’s resonated with me deeply over the past several years. A walking replica of her mum (something I’m sure Fizzy has heard countless times in her life), she not only embodies Jay’s natural beauty, but her heart, too. The two are such mirrors of one another. Both dared to speak out when necessary, both loved fiercely, both dedicated themselves to bettering the lives of others. Both taken far too quickly for anyone to be able to comprehend.

I can’t believe I’m sitting here again writing another post on the passing of someone in Louis’ family. Didn’t they just do this? Didn’t they just endure the worst of the worst? In all of the unfairness and heartache that comes along with this, I hope the Tomlinson family finds comfort in feeling that those two women are at peace together.

There aren’t adequate words.

I’m so sorry to Louis, Lottie, Daisy, Phoebe, and all friends and family members. The world lends you their heart while you try to fix yours. We love you. We love your girls.

Fun fact: If my younger sister was in a car accident and desperately needed a blood transfusion to live, and I was the only person on Earth who could donate blood to save her, and even though donating blood is a relatively easy, safe, and quick procedure no one can force me to give blood. Yes, even to save the life of a fully grown person, it would be ILLEGAL to FORCE me to donate blood if I didn’t want to.

See, we have this concept called “bodily autonomy.” It’s this….cultural notion that a person’s control over their own body is above all important and must not be infringed upon.

Like, we can’t even take LIFE SAVING organs from CORPSES unless the person whose corpse it is gave consent before their death. Even corpses get bodily autonomy.

To tell people that they MUST sacrifice their bodily autonomy for 9 months against their will in an incredibly expensive, invasive, difficult process to save what YOU view as another human life (a debatable claim in the early stages of pregnancy when the VAST majority of abortions are performed) is desperately unethical. You can’t even ask people to sacrifice bodily autonomy to give up organs they aren’t using anymore after they have died.

You’re asking people who can become pregnant to accept less bodily autonomy than we grant to dead bodies.

If one is alive, so is the other. If one is a person, so is the other. If one has a soul, then so does the other. If one is a little blessing that happened for a reason and must be protected, then so is the other.

When you say that “Rape is the exception” what you betray is this: It isn’t about a life. This isn’t about the little soul sitting inside some person’s womb, because if it was you wouldn’t care about HOW it got there, only that it is a little life that needs protecting.

When you say “rape is the exception” what you say is this: You are treating pregnancy as a punishment. You are PUNISHING people who have had CONSENSUAL SEX but don’t want to go through a pregnancy. People who DARED to have consensual sex without the goal of procreation in mind, and this is their “consequence.”

And that is gross.
