Does being completely isolated from the world for the past few months make me austere? Because, I’ve mostly been working on a script for a tv series, during all this time. I may or may not have dedicated months of my life to it. Crap. I just realized I haven’t interacted with anyone. Not even my own girlfriend. What the fuck is wrong with me? Seems like I have a lot of making up to do. Hopefully, there has been no drama in Hazel Run during my absence. 

Nothing that I’ve noticed has happened. Well, nothing huge at least. What’s the tv series about that’s got you spending months on it?

I have officially graduated from Sparrowwood and my last year as a law student has ceased; ladies and gentlemen may I introduce offical-lawyer-to-be, Mason Carver. So who’s going to congratulate me and make me feel extra special by making sweet, sweet lawyer love with me?

As awesome as that sounds, I’m afraid I just don’t swing that way. Sorry. But congrats on graduating! I’m sure you’ll find someone to give you that sweet love.

“You have some problems with showing your feelings, and emotions, don’t you?” Quinn giggled softly and just shook her head. She knew that uncomfortable gesture, she knew that Harper was probably feeling like she needed to run, at least, that was how she always felt whenever someone tried to actually show her some emotion, some feelings, some love and caring. “Yes, I really do think so. I mean, yeah, there’s bad people out there, I am sure of it, but, deep down, this is the closest place to call home now.”

“I always have.. It’s not the best to show emotion. It.. shows a sign of weakness, you know?” Harper thought about what Quinn had said; about this place being home. And she tried, so hard to imagine it as that place for her, but she couldn’t connect the dots. This didn’t feel like home for her, and she wasn’t sure if it ever would. “Yeah.. maybe.”

That would be classified as help and in no way taking advantage of me. [Rachel explained with a smile then pursing her lips] Yes, I was raised to be prepared and also earned the trait of wanting to be prepared so I often try to visualise what could happen whenever I’m making decisions. 

[Harper hummed and wrapped her towel around herself.] You sound like you’d be the best person to be with in a zombie apocalypse because you’d probably have like, everything we’d need. [She teased.] Hey.. If you’re heading out- I could walk with you. I just gotta get changed really quick.

Madelyn frowned as she listened to Harper, she didn’t know what to say now. The blonde girl wasn’t exactly the best at giving advice about love considering that she never actually been in love or in a real relationship for that matter. “Maybe I’m not the best person for this, I haven’t been in a…I don’t…yeah” she said before remembering some of the advice her animal friends have given her. “Try” she whispered to herself before looking at Harper “What if it’s like puppy love? You know they like everyone but they have only one true love for their owner? I mean maybe they do love you but they fell for the other person? Or they could think they love the other person but you’re their real love?” She tried to explain and think this through while looking from Harper to the water. She was nervous to make friends and the brunette seemed that she needed someone but Maddie didn’t know how to properly help her.

Harper thought about it a moment, and Maddie was right. Piper seemed like she developed an attraction for everyone, but she couldn’t help who she really fell for. It just sucked because she was the one who got hurt in the end. “I don’t think I’m their real love, Maddie.” She whispered, sighing softly and resting her head on her arms. “But I guess I do need to try and move on from it all.. It just sucks.”

Annabella huffed as she noticed the girl still swimming, she felt like throwing her shoe at her or something but she knew that wouldn’t help her case. She was just desperate to get in the water her whole body was begging to go in and enjoy it but her pride and ego were way bigger.  “Dramatic much?” she said while rolling her eyes when Harper said she would put a hole in a wall if she left the pool. “I don’t want to share the pool okay? There! I said it, I want to be alone.” She tied one last time before giving up knowing that this girl was just as stubborn about the pool as she was. Annabella looked around their surrounding and sighed before giving into her craving “Ugh, fine! But if you tell anyone and I mean anyone, even your pathetic little diary, about what you saw I will destroy you.” She said as she tried to sound threatening before putting her things down and diving into the pool. She felt her whole body changing as soon as the water hit her skin; her legs no longer there and instead she had a beautiful mermaid tail. Annabella sighed underwater feeling herself more relaxed, it wasn’t like the beach but it would do for now. She looked up and remembered the other girl “Shit” she said before swimming up “Listen if you’re going to freak out please do so somewhere else, okay? I had a long day at work and I just want to relax.”

“And you call me the dramatic one.” Harper hummed before she put her goggles back onto her eyes, then took to taking another lap before resurfacing to see if the girl had left. When she didn’t, and instead dove right into the pool, she couldn’t help but stare at what was happening under the water. Her eyes were wide (and maybe her jaw had dropped a little bit) at the sight- it was something she had never seen before. “I uh.. I’m not gonna freak. I just.. wasn’t expecting that.”

Right, you know when we are angry, we end up doing things we don’t want to? Also, when we are angry, we barely see what we doing. That means, even if you’ve been swimming your whole life, you would probably lose control.

That’s why we do a small wound. And if I get hurt, that’s fine. I’m an athlete- I’ve probably had way worse injuries.

Dylan had actually found herself smirking at the girls comment, when had she became such a prude about honesty? It was only a truthful remark about her own looks, she’d think she would at least be happy about it but instead she turned into a version of a school girl trying to act cool around her crush. She shook her head, looking over to the brunette. “ Oh, lighten up, Harper. If anything I just gave you a small ego boost with this remark. Who doesn’t love those? A compliment once in a while won’t kill you.” She took advantage of the silence the woods seemed to be in, to assess the situation around them, in order to be able to tell which path was safer and which one was just out of question. She didn’t hear any footsteps which meant the hunters were far off, if not completely gone. “ I’d like to hope so. The sooner we’re outta here, the more chances these hunters have of surviving for one more day. At least until I am up and running again.”

“It’s kind of inappropriate to say stuff like that to me, given our past.” It wasn’t hard to speak while carrying Dylan, but Harper found herself mumbling along. She didn’t want to talk about their past, given that they’ve already moved forward from it, but that didn’t mean that hearing things like that coming from her friend didn’t make her wish things had worked out differently. As they continued to walk Harper looked for where she came in front, and when the clearance came into view she let out a sigh. “You really think that’s a good idea? Going after them?”

I really would. I would let no generation exist without knowing about Star Wars. Like that would be such a crime. But I would also teach them how to play the guitar and video games and I would try to be the best father I know how… but that won’t be until years from now… like maybe when I’m in my thirties.

I’m sure you’ll raise a bunch of little nerds who will try to woo their lovers with said nerdiness and music. Oh of course- I don’t think anyone really wants to have a family in their twenties- some people just.. aren’t that lucky.
