hollyjung:
holly was always glad to have a distraction, instantly looking up from the book she’d been pretending to read the second harper had addressed her, already more interested in whatever she was saying than in her texts. “and here i thought it was allergies,” she said with a light chuckle, easily amused. “have you thought about what it is that makes people constantly think about stealing your stuff? maybe you’ve been flaunting too much — you have princess looks, maybe that’s why.”
“i have princess looks?” it wasn’t like harper meant to look offended, but she couldn’t keep it off of her features. for a moment, the blonde was glancing down at herself and looking along her arms -- wondering what exactly made her seem like a princess. “i mean, a lot of people can see a post on instagram and want to rob someone. but i guess if you don’t believe in social media, or don’t believe in showing off then i guess, maybe. but i feel as though the majority post to make others want what they have, underlying in the meaning.”
zekielvd:
“Does that make people with allergies more susceptible to robberies? Can you sneeze for other reasons?” he asked. “Is this a proven fact or a working theory? Do you have any evidence to back your claims?” Zeke had been scrolling up and down on an informational webpage for thirty minutes and hadn’t read a word of it, but he still pretended to focus as he absently asked Harper the questions. “What about dogs and cats? They sneeze.”
“Honestly, yes. If you’re allergic to anything---people automatically want to rob you. Possibly your Epi-Pen.” Despite Zeke most likely being able to call her on her bullshit, Harper persisted. A large grin and she was more than happy to ignore the play she should’ve been reading. There wasn’t anything fun happening in it, anyway. “Just google it, man. It’s there.” Pure bullshit. “Anyway, how do you know that other dogs and cats don’t feel like robbing other dogs and cats? Because I’m sure you’ve had a dog looking at you with a delicious burger in your hand and it thinking to itself, ‘Damn. I really want that burger.’“
teddylawrence:
Mumbling a gentle ‘excuse me’ after letting out a rather obnoxious sneeze, Teddy turned towards the girl at the opposite end of the table from him. He was gullible at best, not to mention one to have a rather large affinity for dramatics, so her statement all but made his eyes bug out of his head, “No,” he blurted, shaking his head quickly, “no way. Are you just saying that to freak me out?” Shoving his stuff closer to the other, Teddy was sat directly across from her by the time he was done shuffling, “Isn’t that kinda like when you shiver, it’s someone walking on your future grave? Or some stupid shit like that - I used to believe that so much when I was younger. And would, like, hold my breath passing by graveyards. I was super scared of being possessed. Too many scary movies too young.”
Amusing herself was always something Harper felt the need to do, especially at the expense of other people. Anyway, the guy looked nice enough .... possibly gullible, but she didn’t focus too much on people. It wasn’t like she was good at reading them. “I’m---I’m sorry, what?” The blonde questioned, choking out a laugh. She’d always equated her shivering to the cold, or something odd tingling her back. But she didn’t want to let up, because this was already entertaining her. “Well, I mean, did you stop holding your breath? ‘Cause they’ve actually proven that if you don’t, bad things could happen to you.” Shrugging a little, Harper gave him a look --- one that suggested he might be in big trouble. “So, the more you sneeze the more likely you are to be robbed. And the less you hold your breath, the less likely it’ll be for your soul to stay saved...”
Sophie Turner as Josie Starks in Josie (2018) dir. Eric England
“Did you know that every time you sneeze, that means someone’s been thinking about robbing you?” The blonde turned to the other person, tilting her head. The way she spoke so seriously, if no one knew her they’d think she actually believed what she was saying. But boredom overcame her when she was supposed to be ‘studying’, so turning to the closest person there was the easiest thing for her to do. Or, at least, the one thing she could do and tell herself she was getting work done. “Seriously, they’ve done studies. Any time you think about someone and you’re like, ‘Damn, I would totally rob their house.’? You’re causing someone to sneeze. That’s why I’m constantly sneezing... because people constantly want to rob me.”
meet harper jensen, loud and a little full of herself. there’s a constant need to be seen whether or not it’s in the spotlight ( but being a performing arts major helps a lot with that ). she’s twenty-two years old, in her second year & currently looking for people to get into heated debates with. kidding... maybe.
i’m a little shy so i’m happily welcoming messages, but it’ll be awhile before i’m comfortable and ready to go sending out fresh dms. you can read more about harper under the cut.
