Edgar Allan Poe Legacy - Annabel Lee
Trigger Warning:
Please keep this mind that this is a Rated R legacy challenge. Poe’s work is a reflection of the tragedies in his life as well as the rejections he’s experienced and the addictions he struggled with.
"A letter soon arrived bearing heavy news from afar, stating that their health both her parents' health had failed and they longed to see her one last time. Without hesitation, Oliver set out for Newcrest and returned with Cassandra and Theodore, their reunion filled with quiet joy and tender embraces despite the frailty that clung to them. As evening settled, Theodore called Florence close and entrusted her with the family heirloom box, placing into her care both its weight and its meaning."

"Nothing of note, just the usual days passing by. Alonzo began taking on more chores and tried his best to learn from a book he borrowed from their neighbor John, while Florence continued her cross stitching, her new favorite hobby." Edgar Allen Poe Legacy: Click here

"As the years softened their once harsh beginnings, the Harrington homestead grew into something warmer and more forgiving. It was no longer simply a place of survival, but a home shaped by quiet comfort. The fields still demanded their labor, and the Chestnut Ridge sun remained relentless, yet inside their walls there was a growing sense of ease that had once felt out of reach. With the arrival of little Anne, the household was filled with new life, her gentle presence a reminder of how far they had come.
Alonzo, now old enough to understand both hardship and hope, did his best to bring joy to his younger siblings. In caring for them, he seemed almost to forget the heat that pressed against the land, as if the laughter within their home could keep the harshness of the prairie at a distance."

Harrington Halloween:Madame Vampire
Henrietta Harrington became into a vampire in the 1820s. In short, she almost passed away from blood loss but a vampire gave her a second chance, that she wanted, by transforming her. Anyways here is Madame Henrietta in the 1970s to 2000s, where she tries to live a normal hidden life with her new family.
P/S: Apologies I'm only 1 month late but Happy Halloween!!!

"Fast forward a few years, the Harrington farm had blossomed into a lively homestead, now filled with animals of every kind. Cows, sheep, and even a few llamas roaming about. While young Alonzo continued to struggle with the demands of farming life, his brother Clyde, still only a toddler, showed a natural thrill for the outdoors. Florence and Oliver, too, had found comforts of their own. Florence taking up knitting while Oliver became ever more enthusiastic about nectar making. Just as their family seemed to settle into a steady rhythm, the Harringtons received joyful news: they were soon to welcome a new addition to their growing household." P/S: There are 3 baby prints because one of them is Florence's XD.

"Oliver purchased a new horse, a sturdy and gentle creature named Fable, bringing fresh excitement to life on the homey homestead. Alonzo struggled to balance in the saddle but showed a growing fondness for riding, his laughter ringing across the prairie each time he tried. Meanwhile, little Clyde became an infant. Though he proved to be a stubborn baby, quick to fuss when things weren’t his way, Florence and Oliver found his fiery spirit endearing, loving him all the more for it."

"While Florence and Gretchen busied themselves with the exchange of goods, Oliver and Oscar took their ease at the bar, glad at last for a moment of rest and conversation. It was a rare chance for Oliver to sit back and enjoy the company of an old friend. Before long, the ladies joined them, and together they ended the evening in true Chestnut Ridge fashion by learning the town’s famed tradition: The Cowpoke Dance."

Decades Challenge: Prelude - 1790s
Note: I didn't follow any specific decades challenge sheet (which might explain many historically inaccurate stuffs), but I have loosely followed some general rules of this version of decades challenge (which I will definitely use for another playthrough after this one).
"Soon, a year passed. In that time, Isaac at last bowed formally before King Jacques III, cementing his place among the nobility. (It was said the king himself traced his lineage to the old royal house of the Holy Windenburger Empire, though such glories now belonged to history.) The Dowager Duchess mourned her late husband often, finding comfort in the steady presence of her daughter Emma. They even started to share a love for art and visual expressions. Around the second year after Edmund’s passing, the Harrington household was brightened with new life, as Isaac and Clementine welcomed their second son, Benjamin Harrington."

"Isaac and Clementine Harrington now stood as the highest ranking nobles in Henford, their new titles drew the inevitable attention of the Crown. In time, the king of Henford-on-Bagley himself would wish to receive the young duke. Yet before courtly duties could be addressed, their household prepared for a far more intimate event: the birth of their first child. Isaac and Clementine had already chosen his name, a name they believed worthy of both heritage and hope. When the child was at last born, he was welcomed with joy by his devoted parents, his aunt Emma, and his grandmother Victoire. Finally, he was given the proud name of Alexander Harrington."

"Duke Edmund Harrington passed away only a few days before the new year of 1790. His eldest and only son, Isaac, suddenly found himself bearing the weight of succession. The carefree days of youth were behind him, replaced by the responsibility of managing the estate, overseeing accounts, and continuing the work his father once carried. A simple but respectful funeral was held in honor of the late duke. He was surrounded by his loving wife, two children and close friends. From that moment, Isaac Harrington, with his wife Clementine at his side, became the 8th Duke and Duchess of Henford."

NEW SERIES - Decades Challenge: Prelude
So we all know the Decades Challenge start from the 1890s (and I have done that too many times). I then realize I should do a prequel, like what happened that led to my original gameplay. As you all know, the Harringtons usually have bright red hair, but my original Decades founder didn't (I didn't consider their uniqueness you see), and so I needed a story to show why, so here it is: Decades Challenge: Prelude. I hope this will somehow connect every single challenges in the decade universe together (including the Poe Challenge), so that they're more coherent. Anyways I made 2 sims, they're supposed to be born around 1750s, and a giant mansion.
Edmund Harrington, 7th Duke of Henford.
Victoire Harrington, 7th Duchess of Henford

"News soon reached them that the town square of Chestnut Ridge had opened, and with it came a letter from Florence’s dearest friend announcing that the Bjergsens, too, had made their home nearby. Seizing the chance for both trade and reunion, Florence and Oliver gathered their goods and set out toward the town, ready to exchange their labors for the things they lacked."
