so this is rhett’s best friend and former co-star dylan o’brien.
they starred together in saints, a film about a young missionary and the party boy he falls in love with.
it was a very sweet film and was an indie hit, made the rounds, and really blew up rhett and dylan’s career.
they got a little bit of a gay following from it. what made it better was the two of them ended up becoming best friends outside of the film. being young in hollywood, having a best friend like each other was absolutely perfect.
rhett was 23 when it was filmed and released so dylan should be around 18-21 at the time as well.
they legit became best friends and lived together and make an effort to stay in touch and be best friends. picture matt and ben if you will. they haven’t worked together in awhile but they want to again.
obviously there are rumors about them being gay. whether or not they had a thing we can discuss!

Leyton Spears is an 18 year old LDS Missionary from Idaho Falls who is placed in Los Angeles, California for his mission. Living right next door is Simon Callows, an openly gay man and self proclaimed party boy. What starts out as a game for Simon, the lure of corrupting sweet and faithful Leyton, soon becomes more as both men find themselves falling for each other as they battle through faith and prejudices to find something real.
So Saints is based upon Latter Days, one of the best gay movies imo. So Rhett plays Simon and my request for Rhett’s best friend played the role of Leyton. ↳ elder babble - another missionary close in age to leyton who comes from a very small community in utah and is in awe of the larger world outside of his sheltered life. open
↳ katie - simon’s best friend and an aspiring musician who can see that leyton means more to simon than anyone before and encourages him to find a way to be together with him.

this is rhett horace walker. named for rhett butler from gone with the wind. thanks mom.
not your typical path to fame. left seattle to attend usc as a poly sci major. wanted to be a political operative.
walked in a fashion show his freshman year for a sorority that his frat was close with. ended up getting discovered by an agent at the show.
did a lot of print and runway stuff in the local la area as he refused to drop out of school. graduated at 22 with a ba in political science.
ended up auditioning for this weird little indie flick called saints while trying to get hired on as a legislative aide. got the role and never looked back.
starred in saints, a flick about a party boy who falls in love with a mormon missionary, as simon the party boy who ends up falling in love with good and wholesome leyton. it did really well on the indie circuit. also developed a gay cult following for rhett and his costar (more to come on this).
he ended up type cast from 23-30 in various gay roles in indie flicks and television series but it’s never bothered rhett. he loves his fans and he has that balance of known but not well known and famous.
recently started branching out and looking for different, more commercial and serious projects.
has a very low key, skinny love type thing going on with daisy king. they met on a plane back from seattle once upon a time and they just clicked.they go to great lengths to not label it or pretend they are getting feelings but uh...they caught feelings.
his dad just passed away so rhett is in the middle of an existential crisis as he tries to figure out the meaning of life and his legacy for his father and it’s kinda really fucking with him.
he’s a very relaxed kind of guy. things don’t faze him and it annoys his publicist and agent. gay rumors? dope. type cast? awesome. the guy is just happy to be living his life but his dad’s death has shook him.
rhett needs: friends, exes, costar (i’m making a request for this) and can fill in wherever people need him.

hi! so @bxffysxmmers and i have a dual request for our rook - aka best friend who is tired of how dumb mia and bentley are. they’d be young hollywood, male or female, and we’d suggest being on welcome to sunnydale (august’s killer inclusive project) but they don’t have to be. they could literally be a publicist, stylist, director, whatever you really want but they are super close with both mia and bentley and kinda protect them and wanna help them get together. the only thing we really highly suggest is you make their last name rook. basically we are looking to do this lol
on her eighteenth birthday, polly melendez leaves her small neveda town behind. raised by a drug addicted single mother with a slew of creepy boyfriends, polly always dreamed of a better life. that better life never really happened. settling on the outskirts of las vegas, polly gets a job working at a strip club run by martin polastco, a charasmatic and charming on the surface with a wicked streak under the surface. martin runs the strip club with an iron fist, controlling the girls lives and making it near impossible for any of them to leave. while working at the club, polly meets and befriends luna hudson, a woman a few years older than her. the two begin a passionate but secret affair and begin to plot their better life. as martin discovers the relationship, he becomes volitale towards luna - whom he believes he is in love with. luna breaks off the relationship when martin threatens polly’s life. giving the money she had been saving to escape herself to polly, luna tells her to leave and find her way to that better. refusing to leave luna or the other women who have become her family, polly decides enough is enough and murders martin. the women of the club come together to dispose of his body and make a vow to reestablish the club, run by them and a place they can all make a better life.
so this is the film that launched my girl mia queen into the spotlight. her father is a fairly well known producer originally he wanted the film idea but she wanted to prove herself outside of the name and asked him to introduce her to others. That’s where Polly meets the woman she co-wrote the script with. It can be an actress or director, whatever but they partner for the script. eventually the film got an oscar nomination for best original screenplay and maybe others.

concept: you and i together in bed. it is 2 am, and music emanates from the record player in the corner. white string lights criss-cross on the ceiling, and your skin nearly glows in the light. our bodies are intertwined and we are asleep. you are in my sweater and i am in your shirt. our entire world is in this room. it is so still, and so beautiful. you are so beautiful.
The comeback was finally happening. Well at least partially. Since the end of Twilight, Matt had struggled to get his bearings. His reputation in the media was that of a fuckboy with no talent. The last couple of movies that he had all bombed and then the lack of work came. For all the promise he once held, it had disappeared just as fast.
Matt had made the choice to change, to be something better so that he could get the dream back. That was slow of course, producers weary of him. A few successful guest roles had helped repair his image a bit. His meeting tonight with a friend about a potential project.
Still on their drinks course, and barely touching the project, Matt had been enjoying himself when he caught site of another old friend. At a place like Casa Vega, that was hardly unusual. Excusing himself, Matt made his way over to the table, his eyes falling upon his friend’s female counterpart. He recognized her from her work but seeing her in person, Matt felt his breath catch.
“Hey man.” Matt said, patting his friend on the shoulder while his eyes rested on the woman. “Hi, I’m Matt.” Holding out his hand, the smile on his face grew as he started to lose himself in blue eyes. Something inside of him told him that this woman was going to change his entire universe.
Fussing with his hair, desperately trying to get the strands to fall in just the exact right way, Matt let out a sigh and stopped. It was going to be as good as it could get. The car that the studio sent would be arriving soon to take him to the Chinese Theater for the premiere of Twilight. Nervous didn’t seem like a well enough word to describe how Matt was feeling.
“Mom, Dad? You ready?” He called to the other room as he grabbed his leather jacket and shrugged it on. Stepping out of the room, his tiny blonde mother took one look at him and tutted.
“You are not wearing that Matthew.” She sighed.
Looking down at his black button up shirt, grey pants and white sneakers, he frowned in confusion with the problem. It was some of the nicer things he owned after all. “Yeah, I am.” He said finally.
“Brad honey come here.” His mother called out, pulling his father into the room. Taking one look at his son, he laughed and shook his head. Clearly the outfit wasn’t working for either parent.
“Your dad brought one of Pop Pop’s suits just in case. He had a feeling you didn’t have one.” His mom said sweetly, waving for his father to go and get the suit.
“Mom, I have a suit.” Matt said with a laugh, putting his hands on her shoulders, “I just wanna stay me. This looks nice, it’s good for the premiere and I won’t be expected to wear a suit all the time. It’s a perfect plan.”
His mother stared at him silently. The stare grew to a glare and sighing in defeat, Matt hung his head. “We’re gonna be late.” He mumbled under his breath.
45 minutes later than expected, Matt was finally in the limo with his mom, dad, agent, manager and publicist. His publicist was still chuckling about the reason behind the delay. As the car pulled to a stop, Matt took a deep breath and squeezed his mom’s hand. This was the moment he really had been dreaming of. His hard work, his talent and passion would finally be shown to the world and if all went right, his life would certainly be changing forever. With hope and optimism and dreams, Matt grabbed the hand and stepped out to the rest of his life.
okay but really, who is doing the ‘lea michele can’t read’ plot? because matt will 100% help spread that and really try and convince people xyz cannot read. he’s your man.

To say the last few months for Matt Matson were a whirlwind just didn’t seem to cut it. Acting meant everything to him from the time he could walk. His mom had always joked that he was putting on shows by the time he was three. That passion never faded and the last year Matt spent in Washington filming Twilight. He had of course heard about the books in high school, all the girls carrying them and wanting their own Ward Cullen. To actually be playing the girl was insane.
The trailer had finally dropped after months of hard work and the response was overwhelming positive. Of course, actually filming the novels had led Matt to realize how dumb and silly the whole story was. Still, it was his first lead and like his agent had said, the stuff that could change careers.
As it was his turn to get the communal supplies for the house he shared with four other struggling actors, Matt had thought nothing of going out to Target. His shopping was easy, grabbing what he needed and more as everyone at Target did. It wasn’t until he was walking out the building that he realized the impact that Twilight was about to have. Four guys crowded around him quickly, snapping and flashing away, shouting questions at him.
All Matt could do was laugh and try to push his way through. This part surely wasn’t real. The film hadn’t even dropped and by all accounts, he was still the nobody plucked from obscurity for the role of Ward. Pushing his cart, Matt nodded his head, the smile on his lips as the guys kept taking his picture. “Guys, guys, sorry, I’m just trying to get my paper towel like everyone else.” He said as the paps walked with him. For some time Matt had heard of attempts in the California legislature to enact laws requiring paparazzi to maintain a certain distance and until this moment he didn’t understand why. This was slightly crazy and intimidating. Yes, a part of him was living for it, making up the headlines for the pictures in his mind but the other part of him just wanted to get to his car.
With a bit of effort and luck when the pack broke, Matt hurried and loaded his car up, climbing into the driver’s seat as fast as he could. Taking a deep breath, the smile broke out on his face once more. If paparazzi were waiting for him at the end of a Target run, it seemed like his career was finally taking off.
Based upon the best selling novels by Stephanie Meyers, The Twilight Saga was a series of movies about the young human Edward Cullen who moves to Forks, Washington and meets the vampire, Isabella Swan. Diving into the supernatural world, Ward learns there is more than he ever knew and that love is worth the risk.
Basically Twilight is the film that launched my boy’s Matt career. He needs his costars. Probably a lot of unknowns who came together and had to deal with the crazy fans and life that came with these movies. Ideally they would be all tight, good friends and kinda in touch here and there. The studio pushed these films through pretty fast and filmed Twilight and New Moon back to back, filmed Eclipse in 2010 and then Breaking Dawn in 2012 so it didn’t take up a huge chunk of their lives but enough.
