Indoor kids. Learning stop animation on a rainy Good Friday. Listening to a trumpet concerto and the washing Maxine going #indoorkids
It was sunny today and almost warm. I don't usually mind the winter but this one has dragged out and been shite. Roll on the spring I can't wait for the woods to look like this again. #spring #flowers
Most of the Hyenas in Harar can cross the road but this one stuffed it up somehow and got chased for a bit. #ethipoa #wildlife
Quick camera review #nikond750 first thoughts cheap plastic very light. After 3 weeks heavy shooting. Nice files, very good at high ISO up to 3200 nice 6400 noisy but the noise not really unpleasant. Good battery life. The only thing that bugs me is the menu is slow to pop up. All in all a nice camera. I'll be playing with the video soon to see what that's like. This shot was at 3200 with car headlights as the light you can see it full size on my website.
Spending a couple of weeks trying together pictures of urban hyenas. Nothing good yet but it's only been a day.
A cover from last year #cheetah #throwbackthursday.
15 years ago I tried to photograph the UK's rarest species. This is Bromus interrupt us grass at Kew Gardens. At the time it was extinct in the wild. In 2004 this plant was reintroduced at AstonRowant.
15 years ago I tried to photograph the rarest species in the UK. This is a large blue from site X. Both the the distribution and population trends are shooting up so this is defiantly a good news story. #butterfly #rare
15 years ago I tried to photograph the rarest species in the UK. Sorbus leyana is still the rarest tree
15 years ago I tried to photograph the UKs rarest species. There are around 3500 smooth snakes in Southern England. #snake
Wild dog pups sleeping. I'm feeling similarly lazy today.
Ethiopian wolves. Bale mountains. Ethiopia. Making plans for another trip to Ethiopia.
Then end of April beginning of May is one of the few times that England is world class for wildlife.
Infrared photo converted to black and white. Wytham woods.
Los Glasias national park.
Some times too close is just too close. Had a couple of these and wonder if I should just let the auto focus donuts thing.
