Once a gleek, always a gleek!
In the past few weeks I haven’t really felt a connection to what was once my favorite TV-Show. The storylines and cast changes made it hard for me to still root for the show because imo it had jumped the shark after season 3.
My love for the actors however never went away even when they had to step into the background so the show could fight through what in my opinion was a serious identity crisis (beginning at season 4 all the way through to now).
Seeing Harrys snapchat story today with a look back at the beginnings of Glee made me all mushy and nostalgic, and I was reminded of how much this show used to mean to me and how it has affected my everyday life. It’s crazy really how many amazing people I met on tumblr through our common love for this show and the actors. I will always appreciate the friends I’ve made and the memories we share, the 2am livestream viewings and ensuing gif making sessions etc. :P
I’m going to follow the actors careers after this show has ended because I love them not only for their characters they played on glee but also because they have beautiful personalities I wish nothing but success and happiness for each and every one of them in the future. Of course Harry Shum Jr. has a special place in my heart, and it’s exceptionally amazing to see his career bloom and his talent grow over the years. As for my queen, Miss Lea Michele, I will not give up my dream of seeing her perform live, be it in a concert, musical or theatre. <3
I will now put on *Dream On*, sit back and relax while I let Glee shower me with happy feels, because if there is one thing it has always managed to do, it’s to make me feel happy.
