Mermay drawings from my own prompt list! I'm p far behind but figured I should still actually post these Day 1 : Lilypad Day 2 : Classical Day 3 : Waterfall

I did some experimenting with Lilypad's artstyle, and used it again for Waterfall, to make it mimic watercolors. I consider Watercolors to be arcane and somewhat eldritch, so I'm really happy they got as close as they have!

Classical meanwhile, is based on classical paintings of mermaids. I personally feel like she came out well, despite a bunch of corners being cut pretty severely, but I didnt want to spend 100 hours in the art mines to not cut those corners and they're not important corners obviously because she DOES look good.

Super Cute lil mahou belonging to @ghostfiish! someone has mentioned liking my chibis a lot in the past, so of course I had to attack! and Heidi is sooo cute >:3c

I spent way too long working on this one, but like, LOOK AT IT IT CAME OUT SO GOOD!!!! Character belongs to @jaculiferous I absolutely love this character design, and I actually found her last year when I didnt have any time to artfight OTL Never let me animate for artfight again, this was a terrible terrible mistake I'm going to do it again

The original sketch! I had to cut the wobble since the motion didnt end up feeling right, even it was great for the clown aspect. But I really like the lil curtsy and how the hat bounces, so I'm not too sad about it anyway :)

The first artfight attack I started this year, and the last I actually finished (9 minutes before artfight ended!!!), it's the full team of Summer Precure, belonging to @1rottencarrot! I made a few tweaks to some of their designs, and had a lot of fun figuring out what aspects to change and how to change them while keeping them faithful. I think the one least changed is Cure Trinity(Yellow), only having an alteration to her boots and colors. I think the one most changed is Cure Maple, since just about every aspect of her design got tweaks, head to toe!

2025 resolution : post art more I guess soooo I really love the new precure designs, and I really love miku, and I really love style matching. I did my best to make her feel like she fits in with the others, and I think I got pretty close overall! Design Notes : I love how I fit in her 01. Sure, the others all just have the shapes with gradients and no shading, but like, it fits so well ok?! it's one of my few intentional breaks from the style, and it's worth it! Her design is based on the original miku, NT miku, and strawberry miku! I had a lot of fun trying to balance how miku vs precure I originally made her without the light green, but realized she needed another accent color and decided to at least test it out, and then I loved it.

havent posted anything on here in years, but I guess I'll be doing that again. maybe. might forget for another 5 years, we'll see an oc switcharoo with @themysteriousmissfey, where I drew her party of fantasy adventurers as magical girls, and she drew my team of magical girls as a fantasy adventuring party! I felt like drawing them in the sailor moon artstyle, so I did :D

So Homestuck day was a week ago now. On that day, I asked for a whole bunch of character requests from people and got these, and then forgot to post them!

I'm creating a webcomic(still in the relatively early stages) and these four are the main characters. I'm very excited to share it when it's ready.

I did a bit of experimenting on the shading and linework for this. For works like Strelitzia, I fully painted the entire thing and had no lineart. But here, I was trying to find a good artstyle to do the eventual comic itself in, and both painting and lineart take forever. So instead what I did was a much lighter go at shading, almost cel shading I think, with lines on detail areas such as clothing folds, fingers, and faces. It's a little bit inspired from Into the Spider-verse, and though it needs some refinement before I use it for the comic, it's definitely a good start and I'm very proud of how it came out.

I’ve been playing khux for around 6 weeks now, and Strelitzia is adorable and deserves more screentime.

I had a lot of trouble with the background, there are so many details on the statue and buildings for such a simple artstyle in the game. Backgrounds are definitely one of my weakest points as an artist, and I need to practice them more often. I put a lot of work into this one, and I think it came out amazing, but it’s still not something I’m skilled at and to me at least, that still something that’s obvious in the picture.

Strelitzia herself came out amazingly, I love how her dress came out, the armwarmers and the lace look great and the lighting and shading on the dress is beautiful. I had a lot of trouble with her face, but I think I finally got it to a comfortable spot too.

Myself and a bunch of other artist friends got together for an art game last year, and it was a lot of fun! Each of us drew our OC interacting with the OC of someone else, forming a Drawing Conga line of OCs.
