"But It's So Expensive!!"

I get that a lot when I try to talk to my friends and coworkers about essential oils. I totally understand where they're coming from, though. People my age just don't see the need for them. Most of them are very financially burdened, and/or working minimum wage jobs, barely able to afford rent each month, let alone shell out $160 for a Premium Starter Kit that they're not even sure they'll use.

Something I wish I would have stressed at the beginning of talking to my friends was the actual value of the oils. No, not the actual monetary value of the kit (although that's about $300 in savings rather than buying each of the oils AND diffuser individually). I'm talking about the actual value it will add to your life and how much money you'll save in the long run, in addition to using something completely, 100% all-natural and actually GOOD for you.

I don't use store-bought facial cleanser anymore. I use Purification and Frankincense. I don't use sleep aids, like sleeping pills, anymore. I use Peace & Calming and Lavender. I don't use diet pills or weight loss supplements anymore. I use Lemon and Peppermint. I don't drink coffee or energy drinks anymore. I diffuse En-Er-Gee and Lemon for a natural pick-me-up.

Those are seriously just SOME of the things oils are great for. If you even just do a quick Pinterest search for "Young Living _____ (insert whatever you're looking for, like acne, indigestion, or migraines)" there are hundreds of at-home little recipes that you can try! 

Plus, in the starter kit, you'll be getting the diffuser, which itself is anywhere from $80-$100, depending on which model you get. I use my diffuser every single day. The one I got in my starter kit covers around 300ish square feet, which is a BIG AREA to cover!

Stressed, Depressed, and Boyband Obsessed

If you're anything like me, all three things above describe your life to a T. Life has me stressed and depressed, and the constant bombardment with lovable bands such as One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer has me boyband obsessed.

Thankfully, since I've been using Young Living essential oils, they've helped with the first two tremendously.

Enter Stress Away, Peace and Calming, and Joy.

I work at a stressful, pretty much dead-end job in the Food Service industry that has me coming home every day feeling fried, and SMELLING like fries. I use my Stress Away every day after I wash away the greasy smell of burgers in the shower by applying it to the insides of my wrists and on the back of my neck. The stress relief is almost immediate. Although I'm not in college right now, I can only imagine the immense pressure that would have been lifted off of my shoulders when it came to writing papers or studying for finals if I had this stuff back then.

Aside from Stress Away, P&C has become my BEST FRIEND when it comes to easing my seemingly always-running mind. I use it in my diffuser almost every night to help me relax and unwind before bed. It also helps me drift into a deeper sleep. I always wake up feeling refreshed and ready to start my day on a positive note.

Joy is the final oil I'm going to cover, and when I say that this stuff works, I mean it. It REALLY works. Delving a little into my personal life here, I fell into a state of pretty serious depression and sadness that not even my family knew about. I didn't really know what direction I was going in my life, and try as I might, nothing gave me any real feelings of happiness. Joy has helped so much with making me feel happier and peaceful and just generally good about whatever situation I was in. I use it almost every time I have an anxiety attack (diffusing it with Lemon makes my whole room smell fresh and clean!)

All in all, the oils have helped so much with two huge parts of my life. I haven't found any oils to help with my boyband obsession, though.

I mean, not that I really WANT to anyways...
