The creation of this page has been entirely against my will.

Lesser Lord Kusanali promised that she’d get off my back if I made a blog to journal about my ‘thoughts and feelings’. This is that blog. Although, in order to avoid actually talking about said ‘thoughts and feelings’, I’ve opened up my ask box so that you worms might submit your thoughts and feelings instead.

It’s a clever subversion, in my opinion. And she can rest easy knowing that I’m making an attempt at interacting with others.

There’s more than just accessories. Most of what I own is thrifted. Even the furniture I have in my room, aside from whatever Kaveh gave me.

He pulled away, heading towards the table. He wore his usual clothes with a clear increase on the amount of jewelry he typically wore. Most having some kind of gold in them though it was likely fake. Not that Lucien cared much.

“Hey,” He called, Sitting across from Hat Guy and setting his guitar down beside him in the booth. “Been awhile.”

Wanderer is sitting in their usual spot, knees tucked up against the table while he fiddles with the keychain on his hat. Besides his somewhat nervous disposition, he doesn’t look any different than the last time the two of them were together, which was… well. Quite a while, as Lucien points out.

His eyes linger on that guitar, if only because looking directly at him feels impossible before he’s gotten a word out. “Been way longer than it should have,” he complains, dropping his legs to the floor so that he can lean over the table. “You have to tell me everything.”

Lucien blinked as he attempted to recall as that has happened. “Etoiles almost died, Alhaitham’s sibling appeared in Sumeru out of nowhere and they are too young to be alone so I’ve become a caregiver against my will, Natalia isn’t apart of the fatui anymore but she refuses to accept that, Kaveh isn’t drinking as much with the little kid around and all…and I already told you I work here now…” he began to rapid fire just so he ensure he didn’t forget anything. It’s been a lot.

It doesn’t take long for him to return to being a brat. “I almost died too, you know,” he mutters, though most of this is news to him. The mention of Natalia makes him cringe a little, but he swiftly deflects. “The scribe has a sibling? What, so you’re babysitting, now?” He snorts a laugh. “That’s— priceless.”

“Uhuh and you failed at being a god. What’s your point?” Lucien snickered back.

“Mhm… they, are a sweet kid. But it’s a lot to handle…” he slumped over the table. “I really do hate being around kids…”

“Alhaitham doesn’t take care of Toro at all, so it’s mainly Kaveh and I that does all the work. Genuinely I don’t know how much more I can take…”

He genuinely did sound exhausted. Was everything before just some kind of mask? Looking closer it did appear that the stress was getting to him. It wasn’t a secret he wore makeup so it was likely his dark circles were covered. His body trembled slightly from against the table.

“Ha, ha,” he grumbles sarcastically, “I was talking about when we fought Natalia. Besides, I don’t see your body being able to handle wielding a gnosis, so you can get back to me when you’ve figured that out.”

As for watching kids… Wanderer can’t help but sympathize. A very long time ago, he might have openly stated that he liked taking care of them, but now?

“They’re a handful, and it never ends,” he mutters, sympathetic. “If they’re Alhaitham’s sibling, why are you two doing all of the work? It sounds like you deserve a vacation from that mess.”

He pulled himself upward as the food was brought to them both. He nodded as Scara spoke again “mhm. It’s extra difficult because they are neurodivergent, and I’m not used to caring for anyone let alone someone that needs specific things…” he shrugged sadly. Sounding almost guilty for feeling that way.

The food seemed to bring comfort to Lucien. His rings clanking against the glass and he picked it up. The drink also helped quite a lot. “So where did you disappear to? Did the archon request your assistance for tea time?” He mocked in a lighthearted tone.

Wanderer can’t help but scoff at Lucien’s little jab, narrowing his eyes. “No,” he starts, tapping his fingertips against his glass. “I was being repaired in the Sanctuary of Surasthana, and then I was doing some studies in Devantaka Mountain. Alone.”

Technically…? I used to do art commissions but the traffic is slow nowadays. I work as entertainment at Lambad’s part time, not a waiter or anything though. My sensory issues couldn’t handle that. I just perform different songs until my time is up. Pays well and my friends and family get a discount (except for Kaveh. That was especially clear when I was hired).
