Thank you for participating in my experiment! I hope you enjoy yourself.
It’s a bit confusing, though, so here is a how to guide I hope will clear it up for you.
Step 1: Check if there are any currently open eggs. The easiest way to do that is to go to this page. It lists everything currently available, who is currently claiming an egg, and has links to every egg in the current clutch. (I do my best to keep the page updated as quickly as possible after information changes, but there may be a short delay, depending on real life)
Step 2: Click on an egg that interests you. Each egg on that page is linked to its post. Make sure you want it. If you do want it, you can either immediately start writing/drawing your first post/response, or you can message me first if you are concerned about someone beating you to it, and I will reserve it for you. It is first come, first serve.
Step 3: Make that first post. (If written, please either do a short drabble about your journey to the cave, or we can make the first couple posts of the thread about that journey.)
Step 4: Hopefully once per day I will respond to all eggs currently claimed and hatching. When I respond, you have two weeks before I send you a message checking if you’re still interested, and two weeks after that before I open that egg up again to someone else.
Step 5: When the roleplay reaches a certain point, the egg will hatch. I will include in that final post an image of your hatchling as well as a detailed description of it and its personality. From that point on, it is yours, to do with as you wish. Roleplay with it, draw it, whatever you would like.
A couple of important things to remember.
- One hatchling per person.
-There will be waiting lists - if an egg you liked has been claimed, message me and I will put you on a list for that egg, and I will contact you if the original claimer falls through for any given reason.
- Artists work a bit differently. I’m still figuring out how we can ‘art roleplay’. If you’d like to do something like that, message me and we’ll work something out.
