As a longtime Feinberg watcher and enjoyer, I really dislike how he has approached and handled being in midoffs. For some reason, he acts like he does not respect the event and the people in it at all, to an extent that honestly made his stream very hard to watch.
During the drafting stream today alone, he muted early and started ranting about how the drafting process was stupid, how Tubbo wouldn't listen to his advice, then tuned the stream out entirely to watch the MCC update video. All the while the drafting stream is actively happening. And when he unmutes, he immediately swears despite being repeatedly told that the stream was family-friendly. His behavior was extremely immature, and genuinely dismissive of others involved in a way that something like hatewatching just isn't.
This comes across in how he talked about coaching too. Imagine genuinely being excited to learn speedrunning only to be be drafted by the guy who had publicly stated that he's only doing this because he doesn't want chat to ask him why he's not in the event. Compare that to how happy Couri was for Jumper, or how Hax grinded insane hours with Max, or Silverr and SB or frankly any of the coaches who's not Feinberg Season 1.
If I am discovering MCSR for the first time through midoffs (which is kind of the whole point of the event in the first place), and the biggest streamer in the community is acting this way, it'd turn me away completely.
The purpose of this post isn't to hate on Feinberg, or to call him a horrible person, in fact it only exists because Feinberg is demonstratably capable of handling his competitiveness in healthier ways, so this kind of behavior feels very out of place. Maybe the coaching streams will actually be awesome and I'll change my mind; but as of now, it really does feel like midoffs bring out the most disdainful and self-centred aspects of Feinberg's personality, and just doesn't fit him as a content idea.
