This may be a trigger for some. I just listened to this amazing, but heart wrenching story about a personal account of childhood sexual abuse. The story serves to educate how unfortunately often and easily sexual abuse cases wind up being dismissed as lesser charges, in court. With current statistics of rape and sexual assault, my heart goes out to anyone who lives today with the burden of sexual assault. I only wish for anyone the strength to report these things without shame and not fear of becoming another case that gets dismissed. You matter and only with the strength and courage of people like you, willing to share their story and speak out about their attacker... Will we someday be able to move forward as a society that shifts in the direction of better understanding and supporting its victims and raise the standards and occurrence of the prosecution of sex offender in the future.
