ok this looks ultra mega based, are you kidding me? can you imagine the bullshit i could get up to with this bad boy? fuck yes i want ten
Wait are iPhone bros coping because Apple has to be more universal? Lol.
Boo hoo i'll be able to add more physical storage to my phone and be able to change out batteries if they degrade as well as all these other optional features I won't have to touch
Continuing in the trend of political cartoons depicting milquetoast moderate positions seem so much cooler and more badass than they are
I love how they add totally absurd things no one is asking for to make the idea look crazy. And still, I must emphasize, failing to make this look like a bad idea.
"Is this what you want? Is this ugly stupid bullcrap what you want??" the biggest loudest idiot in the room asks, holding up a picture of the hottest looking shit I've ever seen
that poll going around of the guy who thought "people only eat tofu as a bit because they're deranged vegans" or whatever really crystalizes something that i have never been able to precisely say - which is "a nonzero fraction of people who start picky-eater discourse just happen to precisely hate those foods which are not from north america and refuse to introspect on this whatsoever"
In contrast some people say "there aren't any picky eaters in Asia 🙄" but this is laughably untrue. I have a cousin in India who refused until his 20s to eat anything in a sauce. as you can imagine in India this was difficult. he basically had to pick things out of curry and wipe them dry
obsessed with this bookshop in stratford-upon-avon having WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE listed as a ”local author”

This year, on the 31 March, we lost Gilbert Baker, gay artist and creator of the gay pride flag. Today we would celebrate his 66th birthday. Let’s remember him as the wonderful person he was.
i just want to add to this post that the last update made to the official pride flag by Glibert Baker before he passed away was THIS:
the new lavender stripe at the very top was added to represent DIVERSITY and as far as i am aware, was added in retaliation against trump’s presidency. i’ve not seen many people use this version, and it deserves to be known.
somebody posted this Calvin and Hobbes strip and i cannot overstate just how topical this fuckin thing is
Happy Pride!
Every pride, you must reblog this. No exceptions
I love that four different people on my feed scheduled this joyous person to reblog by 8am on June 1. I look forward to seeing this a dozen more times today.
I wonder how many takes it took to get the part with the wigs right and not pull off more than one at once, or disturb the other ones.
Having electricity in my home is so great. Most of the humans that have ever lived didn't have this.
I can be like "I want a cup of hot tea" and I can go and make one and I don't have to light a fire or anything.
I don't have to light a fire or anything.
Several rabbis have entered the chat.
i mean, if you have an electric kettle (or even a microwave or electric/induction stovetop) you definitely don't have to. fire consumes its fuel, and electricity doesn't. i'm unsure where non-rechargable batteries fit in, but i doubt there's a whole lot of tea kettles out there being run on AAs.
If you move slowly and carefully, you can get out of the rabbinical discussion on "but does that count for the purposes of lighting a fire on Shabbat" without reigniting the 100+ year old discussion.
I suppose, discussions about the source of the electrical energy (as in fossil fuels, solar, wind, ect) are also rampant already?
Also, batteries (rechargable and non rechargable both) are so absolutely fire. We just tricked the materials into doing electrical work for us instead of going 100% heat output.
everyone: happy pride month 🌈
my brain at 12:00 am on june 1st:
After school care pulled me aside about my child dropping an f-bomb “without remorse” and I put on my concerned face and nodded a bunch.
Apparently he was building something with a younger kid “who really looks up to him and is just starting to make friends” and said “Hey, you’re really fucking good at this.” which is, in my estimation, really a parenting victory.
I absolutely failed at doing this:
I may not be the most prolific writer, or the most beloved writer, or the most technical writer, but I dare y'all to find me a fic with a more vast gulf between hits and comments than this.
