The thing is, this doesn't look good to any person of color. Who guarantees AMC won't do the same shit on season 3 or even worse? After all, book Louis and Claudia barely appear on The Vampire Lestat. They'll have to write original stuff or borrow content from other novels/characters.

You know who must have secured screen time? Lestat, Gabrielle, Armand and Nicki. And we know Daniel will be making a documentary with Lestat. But we're in the dark about Claudia and Louis. And they can snub Jacob and Delainey then too. Assad again as well. They can just go submiting the white actors for all categories.

And the problem isn't even Jacob vs. Assad or Assad vs. Delainey, since it's the supporting actor category. In fact, the issue is favoring a white person over a brown one who did way more work this season. But somehow the situation still turned to brown/Muslims and black folks being put against each other because??? Not to mention there could also be, for example, a Black Muslim fan seeing this shit show and rightfully getting offended btw. I genuinely hope the award campaign for season 3 is fair, but it doesn't look good to anyone. And guess what? If they go submitting only their white performers to awards, I doubt there will be a lot of white fans fighting for the artists of color and showing solidarity to them either. I mean, some white fans are already treating Sam as the leading actor and first name on the credits... I bet most will just focus on their white faves getting recognition not care about the rest. And I feel like many people are missing the actual fucking point here.
