So like, it’s canon in the RPG timeline that bowser isn’t enslaving these koopas, boos, shy guys, or goombas. They literally just want to work for him.

They literally just individually walked up to bowser one day and went: you’re cool could you please hire me? I’ll work for you.

And they got a boss to work for who cares about them to a point Fawful had to LITERALLY brainwash them to make them forget Bowser!

But from Bowser’s perspective could you imagine building an empire through sheer intimidation and violence, and then getting approached by silly little mushroom guys who think you’re cool? And hiring them because they look up to you?

No wonder Bowser has such a big ego! And honestly, I think it’s endearing how much he truly does care about his minions. Even the ones that betrayed him were just let back in because they came back.

It’s like home.

@gravescore I’m pretty sure the high note at 5:32 was our boy Fawful! The line was about the dark star’s light, while the Bro’s were singing about their heroic light! Unless you mean the main harmony, in which Mario’s a great suprano! It surprised me as well!! ✨
