6. Rody Lamoree (Dead Plate)
Rody Lamoree is the playable character and main protagonist of Dead Plate.
f/o who knows you aren’t okay. who noticed that you sleep more, eat less, that your feet drag when you walk.
f/o that lets you break down, even when you’re the happy friend. the emotional support friend. the okay friend.
f/o that comes home to find you in the same spot you were in when they left, and goes into the kitchen. they come back with tea and your favourite treat. they sit you up against them and they feed you. they hold the water to your lips.
f/o that doesn’t give up on you.
f/o that isn’t going to let you go, isn’t going to sit and watch you suffer like this. who holds you when you cry, who sits in all the hurt with you. who hates that you feel this way about yourself, about life.
f/o that believes you deserve a life better than this. and stops at nothing to give it to you.
f/o that knows you can do it, just that you need help. they know you don’t like asking for help, so they do it silently.
for those of you with an f/o that’s not on your public f/o list. take a moment and imagine, like, wacky sitcom hijinks. hiding your secret f/o in a closet or under a tablecloth and somehow nobody noticing there’s a whole ass person in there
self shippers you guys should think of desperate kisses btw. ☝🏾 your f/o hesitating for only a moment before pulling you close, maybe pulling you by the collar or by the hip, how they can only wait long enough to suck in a breath before they're on you. how they kiss you like it is urgent, like they will actually cease to be if they don't kiss you. there's no teasing, there's no longer any of their meekness to be found, there's nothing in their mind but the constant pounding of their heart in their chest and you, you, you ringing in their brain. desperate kisses that turn into sloppy, messy things as they trail down your neck when you need to part for air– but even that doesn't last long before they're turning you to kiss you on the lips once more. btw.
𓂃 you and your f/o kissing each other, not in a heated sense but more rather, in a constantly declaring a deep, unyielding love for one another whilst holding each other tenderly kinda way, that's it, that's the imagine 🥹 ♡
“Any last words, Gordon?”
- Sprout to Jay, “Unnamed Episode”
Sprout Zare (born Lily Gordon) is the current Elemental Master and Ninja of Plants, adopted daughter of Ed & Edna Walker, surrendered by her biological parents, Cliff Gordon & Libber, Kai’s girlfriend, and Jay’s younger sister. Originally siding with Lord Garmadon, she broke from his control and joined the ninja team instead, joining them on many adventures after her redemption.
As a child, Lily was found by Lord Garmadon after a surplus of anger and envy came from her body for an unknown reason. Garmadon took her and essentially raised her as his own, splitting the siblings from one another and making Lily believe he was the only one who cared.
Sometime after her kidnapping, Lily was given the name Sprout Zare by Garmadon, and ended up learning Spinjitsu and unlocked her elemental ability. It is unknown what happened to Zant-Tanz, the previous Elemental Master of Plants, in order for her to inherit his power.
Sprout proceeded to train as hard as she possibly could, as Garmadon had told her that one of the ninja was her long-lost brother and he abandoned her on purpose. After training, she set off on a mission to not only defeat the ninja, but to show whoever her brother was that abandoning her was a bad decision.
After battling the ninja many times, it is revealed to her (while almost killing Jay in the process) that he is her brother, and he never had a say in where she ended up. This, along with him risking his life to save her despite her actions, causes her to have a change of heart and ultimately switch sides to join the ninja. She then defeated Garmadon with her brother, causing the former to lose control of her completely.
Appearance
Sprout, similar to her brother, has wavy messy hair, though pre-redemption it was usually hidden beneath her hood. Hers is shoulder-length. She usually wears orange clothing, reminiscent of autumn leaves. She has brown eyebrows and light freckles. Matching her brother, she had brown hair for a short time, but it has recently changed to a more auburn-toned colour akin to earlier seasons.
Pre-redemption, she usually wears her signature orange gi, which has both her current name (Sprout) and her old name (Lily) stitched into the collar in what appears to be Ninjargon, as well as orange pants. Atop this, she wears a grey cloak, usually with the hood pulled over her head. The hood hides the majority of her hair with only a few clumps sticking out around her face. She also wears an orange mask, obscuring her mouth. Only her eyes and freckles remain visible.
Post-redemption, Sprout loses the cloak, instead favouring a more traditional kimono-esque outfit—still in orange. Her hair falls loosely and is shown to be quite thick in volume. It is noted that this look makes her seem more “innocent” or “childlike”, as Cole gains a habit of calling her “kid” or “tiny thing”.
Casual wear, in later seasons, includes a grey sweater and blue pants. This was also her outfit when undercover as a teacher.
Age
The ninja’s ages are not specified.
Ninjago: Like the majority of her fellow ninja, Sprout was a teenager at the start of the series. However, the ninja do not officially have specific ages, as they were meant to be perpetually in their teenage years for the duration of the original series. The closest confirmation to her age is that she is three years younger than Jay at the beginning of the series.
Dragons Rising: The Merge occurs sometime after Crystalized, and the main events of the series take place an unknown amount of years later. Children before the merge grew into teenagers, which may imply that she and the other ninja, excluding Zane, are now young adults in their 20s instead of teens. However, as mentioned above, the creators do not specify ages.
What follows are possible estimations using creator statements on the ninja's ages. Their specific ages are not canonically set in stone, and some older statements may no longer apply if the creator later disagrees with themselves.
Potential Estimations: During the events of the pilot episodes and Season 1, Jay was at least 15 or 16 years of age. This would mean Sprout was at least 12 to 13 years of age.
Personality
Sprout, pre-redemption, was a snarky and rude individual, though she did have her lighthearted moments. It is later revealed that she acted this way to avoid being replaced, as she was afraid if she was not noticeable she would no longer be of value to Garmadon and he would discard her. She would regularly belittle the ninja while fighting them, and was quick to have a temper when they didn’t defeat easily.
Sprout, post-redemption, is almost a complete 180° of her original self: she is light, sweet, and kind, and while still afraid of being replaced, she is now able to voice this concern and get reassurance when she needs it. She is shown to be heavily reliant or attention seeking to Kai, Jay, and Nya, which would imply abandonment or attachment issues.

Weapons and Abilities
Plants: Being the Elemental Master of Plants, Sprout can create, generate, manipulate, and control any form of plants. She has not unlocked her True Potential yet, so it is unknown what that would give her. Her plant powers were enhanced further by the Evergreen Bow. Sprout can also harness organically grown fruits and vegetables to the exact tastes she likes.
Spinjitsu: Sprout is capable of performing Plant Spinjitsu. However, it is implied her Spinjitsu is mixed with taekwondo, which opens up the possibility of different Spinjitsu styles altogether.
Skilled Combatant: Due to Garmadon’s excessive training, Sprout is incredibly skilled in hand-to-hand, ranged, and Spinjitsu combat. She has had many notable successes, such as holding off Zane’s Ice Spinjitsu with her bare hands while simultaneously fending off Cole. Also, she stole one of Kai’s katanas and used it against him, despite having never been shown to use any form of blade before.
Art of the Silent Fist: Under Lord Garmadon, Sprout learned the Art of the Silent Fist.
Martial Arts: Sprout is shown to be proficient in martial arts such as taekwondo.
Ranged Mastery: Sprout is proficient in using ranged weapons such as bows and crossbows, shown not only by her signature weapon the Evergreen Bow, but also by how she confidently took over a crossbow during a surprise attack against Sorla’s village in Season 11.
Agility: Sprout is shown to be incredibly agile, capable of keeping up with and even getting ahead of the ninja in her debut episode. When the ninja stop to take a breather, believing her to be left behind them, she appears abruptly from the bamboo above them and proceeds to taunt them for believing they could leave her behind so easily.
Skilled Thievery: Sprout is shown to be a good thief, as she managed to steal Jay’s weapon while he was actively holding it without him noticing. While she no longer uses the skill, it is implied she still has it post-redemption.
Stealth: As a ninja, Sprout has to be stealthy, a skill she very clearly has. This is shown consistently throughout her appearances.
You are saying... that if one writes their wish upon a strip of red silk and hangs it from a tree branch on the day of their birth, that wish may be fulfilled?
Is it truly so efficacious?
I see... Since you have invited me with such sincerity, I suppose I could give it a try.
Should you also have a wish, you may entrust it to me. I can write it down with my own.
