Good Morning Everyone!! Pyrite is done and I’m so excited.
Color palette changed a lot but I’m incredibly happy with her design.
Inspiration include another bispearl design linked in my previous post here. As well as jazz dancers and their dresses she was so incredibly fun to design.

Some things will definitely change but I’m happy with this based for now.
Sometimes I think Alta fans romanticize like atla and tlok inspirations from Asian and indigenous cultures, as representation. But like it’s not a show about Asian or indigenous cultures, it’s inspired but watching it it should still be noted and obvious it is a white story by white people. Having inspirations, themes, and aesthetics from no. White sources don’t make it less of a white story. And it’s great that poc have been able to see ourselves in this story. I think this is why the politics of TLOK also feel very centrist. Idk if I’m making sense. That’s my rant.
