One Month Left

Well *less than a month till the semester is over and boy am I ready for a well needed break even though we just had Easter Break. Feeling a little bittersweet as tomorrow is my final pediatrics clinical day at CHOP, it has been such an enriching and empowering experience. This last month is going to be stressful because it is filled with exams, finals, and final assignments. I am not ready but I have no choice but to be because it will pay off around this time next year when we will be securing nursing jobs and preparing for Graduation! In the meantime, stay strong, and keep your head up high, we are almost at the finish line!

Easter Break

As time is winding down for the end of the semester, I feel more relaxed but I know this will change come finals week. But I'm hopeful we will make it through. Excited for a break though short it’s necessary.  Last week’s Pharmacology exam went well. I’m nervous for the Med-Surd exam coming up because there’s a lot of values to retain that can easily cause hiccups during the exam. But I will work hard to make sure that doesn’t happen. Hope everyone enjoys this long time needed break. Happy Easter!

6 weeks to go!!!!

So, we’re headed into Week 10 of the semester and I am just ready to move on to next semester but of course I know it will only be more rigorous from now on in the program. Peds exam went well, not my best but grateful to pass just have to work harder the next go-around. For some reason I’ve been feeling stressed especially when there's an impending exam. I usually try to do a fun activity each week except during test week to avoid burnouts but I think I need to incorporate mini set-care activities throughout the week to reduce stress. I challenge you to do the same. Take care of yourself and your mental health.

Stressed but Ble$$ed

Last week, I had 2 tests back-to-back and I can only say that I am blessed to have survive that week. It was a week of vigorous studying and no time for self-care was definitely on the verge of burnout but glad that was avoided and I made it through that week. Will definitely have a new game plan next time around so that I can have time for self-care in the midst of a test week.

1st week FRENZY

First week of the semester is always the most stressful for me (I’m sure other students can agree). Just a period of confusion after having a semester full of information/assignments tossed at me all at once. I (we) definitely deserve to treat myself (ourselves) to a mindfulness session this week. Let’s take the time to reflect on the week we had, and get ready to grind the rest of the semester. WE GOT THIS. #stressedbutblessed Peace, Love, and Success. -Vika
