New Pinned Post! Hi, I'm Eric, he/him, and yes I'm 37. You might know me from Cosplay--I'm taking a hiatus right now, but I've made a bunch of award winning costumes with a focus on tailoring, embellishment and leatherworking

You may also know me from my erotic work--I make custom lingerie and do photo shoots with it. I love to create a transgender fantasy from the inside out, rather than one projected onto a trans body from the outside.

I also do linoleum printmaking exploring esoteric symbolism and "decorative" design and how the two interact (and sometimes I'm just having fun) Prints can be found for sale HERE

I also make colorful quilts, rugs and other textiles, largely with recycled materials like old clothing.

This is a real wonky proof of concept for another Drunkard's Path modular linoprint but I'm v excited to redraft it properly, the repeat looks v cool and it can kinda go as big as you want.

We've been together for almost 20 years but as of today we're officially husbands. Love him so so much.

We'll probably do some kind of actual wedding once our lives/health/emotions are less all over the place but it was a beautiful day with a couple of friends to witness and a priest to bless it and I'm really happy.

I think I did ok for making a wedding bouquet the morning of with flowers from Acme and foliage stolen from the CVS parking lot

re: feeling like people wanting better for you is an empty wish. I was in your same position for about two years until the person i was caring for broke up with me unexpectedly in january. i wish had taken people's advice to "put my own oxygen mask on first" but i know that for me, that felt completely impossible at the time bc the person i was caring for always had something worse going on. It sounds to me like you might be dealing with a similar situation... is there anything/anyone else who can step in sometimes for you to have time off? any friends, family, social workers, something?

Both of us are no contact with our families for very good reasons. The partner that broke up with us was who was occasionally letting me take a break but...well we see how that turned out so now I'm scared to ask friends. He does do a lot of volunteer work so I do get some time to myself, it's just hard being the sole working person plus having to take care of a lot of the everyday things to keep us both fed and clothed and the house clean.

It's not his fault at all, is the worst part, it's just his disability can be really distressing to be around and makes his coordination/mobility bad so a lot of everyday tasks can be difficult.

I don't know how to feel about the fact that everyone around me, including my ex and current partner keep telling me I deserve a better life. It feels like such an empty sentiment when no one can or is willing to do anything to help and I can't exactly change my whole life when I have to work/caretake everyday all day

I think I'm over the worst of things but I'm going to be sad for a long time. I keep crying bc I do need to get married to my other, still current partner for health insurance reasons and it's so sad to me my ex won't be one of the people to witness that...despite all the hurt she was the other most important person in our lives for a long time.

I already have a lot of marriage trauma from my mom (marrying less than a year after my father died, making me do a lot of the wedding planning at like, 14) so I feel really particularly sensitive about my own marriage not getting to be something simply happy and joyful.
