"A what? I've never heard of it but I'm not against trying it out." Riley was genuinely curious what the snack treat was and eventually got a taste of it to try for herself. "Hm, not too bad."

She smiled softly and bit her lip. “No, you never make me uncomfortable.” She bit her lip again and blushed a bit. “Sorry, that was silly. That was a silly thing to say. You’re just really nice. Way too nice to me.”
"Are you sure? I know things were a bit bit rough back when you know who was still around and with you. I'm sorry she ditched you and if I ever do run into her I'll make it known it wasn't cool. Then again, I don't think you'd want me to end up in jail."

Hearing the taunt and the jab, Riley moved forward to pin Vanessa to the wall harshly while keeping her hands up by her throat for the moment. She wanted to make a point that the queen bee couldn't get away with such an insult in her direction.
"You get it from almost everyone in this place for the record. As for me, it's none of your damned business what my body goes through. At least I'm not the local who spreads her legs for every good looking woman that walks through this place."

"Hey now, no worries okay? I'm glad you'd want to do one with me but it's okay if you really don't too, you know? I don't want to make you uncomfortable."

"I try to be good for her part. She's a great friend too and hopefully I can get her laughing a while again."

Bree resisted the urge to aww. “…Do you have a crush on Willa, Riley?”
She should have known she'd get called out yet again over such details. Who was gonna end up spilling it out to Willa though in the future? She sure as heck wasn't anytime soon.

“Yeah! That all sounds really good actually. I’m glad you care a lot about her. I hope it goes well. I’m sure it will.”
"I think it will. I'd probably do just about anything to help her out."

“I’d say take her on an adventure. Take her to pet animals. Take her to pick flowers. Bring her on a picnic and sing to her. Willa is sweet and hopefully she’ll be okay soon. But for now… even the little things are good. She’ll appreciate that you care enough to help.”
"I'll keep those in mind for more ideas. I know she still has her kitten so maybe taking her on a picnic with the cat too will help. I've already got the idea of embarrassing myself with singing for a karaoke thing with her possibly. I know she will, I just care a lot about her.”

“Trust me: it isn’t fun being understanding. It leaves you with a lot of odd choices in friendship and less friends than you’d imagine.” She nodded slowly, slightly worried about Willa now. “We grew up in the same town. I’m glad she has someone like you looking after her.”
"I try as best as I can for her. I just hope I can get her smiling like before over time. I might take her out for dinner to try and cheer her up a bit more. Any ideas on how to help her get over sadness? You've known her longer than I have."

“Yeah.. I definitely understand. Don’t get me wrong… I’m not defending anyone. I just try and be super patient and understanding. It doesn’t work in my favor often… it’s lost me someone I care a lot about.” She paused when Riley brought up Willa. “You um… know Willa?”
"Well, I'll give you credit for trying your best to be patient and understanding, Bree. That takes quite a lot to do and maybe I could learn to handle that more from you. As for knowing Willa, I do. She's been pretty down in the dumps lately and I've been trying to keep her company."

“i don’t know, people always say they’re worse than they are, so i bet you’re great. you cannot convince me otherwise”
"All right, just wait until you hear me sing then. You might get me confident enough to try and do a duet with you."

"You already caused her enough trouble before trying to get rid of Jaime on her. She's a good friend is all."

"You say that but I bet you know a few of them from their faces. You should care enough to not bother them as roughly, especially Willa."

“Look, don’t get me wrong… there are some pretty… interesting characters around school and such… but… one interaction isn’t enough to know someone. I try and think about why people behave the way they do. Does that make sense? Because I think that’s the basis on why I have certain friends.”
"That might be true but when that interactions involves getting drenched in scolding hot tea and shouted at for being in the road in the first place, it leaves a sour impression. Nonetheless, you're on the right way of thinking about people on how and why they might act a certain way. I try to have a variety of friends which turns out to be interesting. From the sweet Willa to the cocky Nico, that brings in a lot of amusement.”
