It made things much easier, in situations like this, when Victoria knew the other person she was using as an escape. This actually happened more often than not, and when she wasnât familiar with the other person, it had the chance of resulting badly, and right now she couldnât deal with that. Luckily, it was a familiar face that was seated just beside her, causing Victoria to offer up one of her finest smiles. âI mean, clearly there are bigger problems, but I donât exactly enjoy having a guy stare at my tits throughout our entire conversation.â She explained, pulling the straw of her drink up to her lips. âNo no, you donât have to do that. Last thing I want is a cat fight. Not that I donât think you couldnât take him or anything, but itâs probably best if we donât poke the beast. Too many paps outside waiting for something to happen with someone. Looks like LA may be a little dead tonight.â
Hayden nodded slowly at Victoriaâs words, and he felt deeply thankful he never had to deal with creeps the same way she did. "Sounds about right, I donât think anyone would want to have a conversation with someone thatâs constantly trying to undress you with their eyes.â He said before getting interrupted by the bartender. Hayden smiled at the bartender and exchanged his money for the drink. After a long day, the cold brew was exactly what he needed. âA cat fight? You think Iâd be foolish enough to get involved in a cat fight? Rule number one of being a publicist is donât become a client yourself. Can you imagine what that would do to my own reputation?â The man smirked before putting his beer bottle up to his lips and taking a savory swig. âI never realized just how out of control the paps are, I thought it was bad enough in New York but itâs horrific here in LA.â Hayden shook his head still in disbelief. âTheyâre thirsty over here, itâs gotten to the point of being very disrespectfulâ He took a moment to sit back and get a bit more comfortable on his chair. âLos Angeles dead? Never. Thatâs one thing that has definitely surprised me with my big coastal move, I thought only New York was the city that never slept but boy, was I wrong.â
