Girls trip soon? Feels like forever since we hung out. @drbbakerdmd
Did you expect them to get engaged? It was pretty fast. @drbbakerdmd
That's true. I never really thought about all the wars they've had.

Why I'm so private and let few in. I know who's good for me and who isn't.
Jon thought all of the women she named had talent but he thought Jamie and Britt were better. "What did you do to make him not like you? I don't think he has anything against you at all." He could be wrong and Tony be the petty man that Punk tried to say it was but he liked to think he wasn't. "Have you talked to him about things?"
"Get injured? I don't bloody know but I'm frustrated by it." Jon could be right and it just her imagination. "I haven't but I need to. I'll try to do it soon. The music stopped and she wondered what was up as Will and Tyson stood there like they were about to make a speech. "This should be fun."
Jon scratched his neck nervously as he listened. Last year had been a horrible year and one he wasn't sure some of them could recover from but he liked to think positive when it came to Britt. She had always found a way but that was old Britt. New Britt was very different or she seemed to be, not that he was around her much. "I think you're doing great and will be champion again before you know it." He raised his eyebrow questionably. "Why not?"
If she could take back 2024 and do a do over she would and was sure Britt would too. She was happy that her friend was finding some success in the acting world and seemed happy. "You think so? Tony cares more about pushing, Mercedes, Mariah and Toni then anyone else." She could be wrong but she felt Tony didn't care for her. "I think he'll send Mercedes or Willow before he sends me. I don't think he likes me."
There was more than she was saying and he could tell it but he didn't want to push her to talk about it. "Sometimes what you think won't happen does and what you feel will or should, doesn't." He didn't need to clarify it for her, he was sure she understood more than anyone. "I wanted to help the company get over in Japan and I think I did that. Now I just want to let my body rest and not be flying overseas every week. What about you though. Any urge to work Japan again?"
Giving a small sigh, Jamie nodded and closed her eyes briefly. "Nothing is ever sure in life. One minute we were riding the wave at the top and the next we wiped out and it's taken me this long to get back to where I feel good about my ring work." She had lost weight and muscle mass while she was out and it affected her power in the ring. "I would love to go to Japan and work STARDOM again but I don't think it'll happen."
"Everything clicked and I felt like my old self, not the shell I was last year." She had barely been able to move or get out of bed and had thought of retiring but she was too stubborn to do that. It was the same thing Jamie had been thinking and not saying out loud. What if Britt couldn't come back and be the Britt of old or at all. She had tried and it was too soon. Maybe that's why she was throwing herself into acting so much. "I'm not going to tell her. I try not to mention it unless she does. She has nothing to prove to anyone and doesn't owe anyone anything. I just don't want her to hurt anymore." Her eyes downward but she quickly lifted them to meet his. "So what about you? Hopefully your body's holding up. You worry me with some of those wild matches you do."
She felt she could trust him but instead of opening up more than she had, she simply gave him a smile. "Will loves the idea of being a family man. He tried hard with Bea and with Alice but it wasn't to be. I think I always knew he would end up with some fella but didn't think it would be Ty. I thought they hated each other for awhile but it was more due to how competitive they are." She had noticed that he didn't wrestle that much anymore and he hadn't been to Japan in awhile. "Best to listen to your body and not push it. I think we all have a tendency to do that."
Her eyes shot down to look at his hand on her shoulder. Jamie knew Jon wasn't trying anything but she couldn't help the way her body stiffened. "I just... I worry is all. I'm back and doing great. My match back home was a hard hitting ass kicker and I loved it. I was exhausted as fuck but I loved it and not once did I doubt myself." She was proud of her performance as she should be. "I feel bad that Britt's still having issues." She didn't need to tell him everything and hopefully that be enough for him not to ask anymore questions.

Jon had been around Jamie enough to know when she spaced out and knew she was having a hard time staying focused. Obviously something was on her mind. He put his hand on her shoulder lightly rubbing it. Few would feel comfortable doing that but he felt comfortable with her and thought she felt the same since that night. When you've see someone naked then you tend to relax around them. "Hey, it's okay. Whatever it is. You went through hell last you, you and Britt did. I'm here if you need to talk, same with her."

This month had been a whirlwind. She was able to go home and have one of her dream matches, she had got Britt flowers, candy and a necklace for Valentines. It had made her nervous but it felt right to get her something even though she had no name for what their relationship was. Now she was at a party to celebrate Tyson and Will's engagement. She had known Will forever and never seen him so happy. Both men deserved nothing but the best in her eyes and she was glad they had each other. Looking across the room her eyes met Jon's and she walked over and gave him a hug. He had always accepted her, not made jokes and been a good friend even when she wanted to kill him. "You doing well, mate?" @wildmox
Jon's commitment to his daughter was one thing she loved about him. If only he hadn't said what he said and sent her friend into a spiral. If only he had given her space and not pushed for her to still love him and want to be his. If only. Two words but ones Jamie felt strongly about. Max seemed to be trying to get along with her but it was hard for her to trust him. Part of her wanted to talk to Britt about it but the other part of her was nervous to. She kept telling herself not to rock the boat and hope for the best. The last thing Britt needed was her coming at her about him too. She was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but him cheating was hard for her to forget. Britt was gorgeous and he was lucky to have her much less have Matti. They deserved the world. It was as if what Jon said had went in one eat and out the other before she realized she wasn't listening. Damn her stupid head.... what did he say? "Yeah true."

A slow nod showed that Jamie understood and she would be lying if she hadn't been doing the same. Throwing herself into work, going home for her dream match and trying to make sense of this last year. 2024 had sucked balls for everyone she cared about but she was determined for 2025 to be better all the way around. "I hadn't seen my family in awhile so that was nice. I didn't party or anything like I usually would just went back to passed out in my room. The match was hard hitting but I loved it." A few years ago Jamie would have been in the pub right after a show. She enjoyed partying and had been happy to take her new American friend out drinking back then, happy to be on the cruise partying but now... everything was different. She didn't party anymore and didn't miss it. She rarely drank and preferred to enjoy a movie with Britt, to watch Matti and live a slower life. "I'm hoping we can have a second match again either at home or AEW."
