One Vision (DUKEMON MATRIX EVOLUTION VERSION) | Digimon Sounyuka Wonder Best Evolution
This was requested a while ago from an Anon and oh gosh I’m so sorry I didn’t get to posting until now >w<;
Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.

Umm... Guilmon. Guilmon is my favorite.
Guilmon? Whoa, those are pretty rare, aren’t they? Though… I don’t think I’ve ever raised one myself. I guess I’m not that lucky.
Being the Number One Tamer…
[He started with a grin, but abruptly stopped. He looked down at his phone wonderingly, staring at the Digimon that waved to him ever so delightedly.
Taiga wondered… why did he want to become Number One?]
It is pretty great, isn’t it? Though, Takato… Heck, I don’t really have a reason why I want to be Number One. I guess I like winning, but I like training, and doing a lot of other things with my Digimon, too.
… I want to be the best to prove that the both of us— that the bond Agumon and I share is stronger than anyone else’s.
I have faith that my partner is the strongest there is!
Again, that kind of determination is pretty amazing, Taiga-san. You really care for your Digimon partner, don't you?
//While Takato didn't have the drive to prove that he was the best, he still admired the thought Taiga put into his resolution to become number one.
//Out of curiousity, Takato found himself sneaking a glance to the older boy's phone. His eyes widened in awe at the life-like little Digimon on the screen; was that Taiga's partner?
Is he your partner? Agumon, I mean?
Umm... Guilmon. Guilmon is my favorite.
Guilmon? Whoa, those are pretty rare, aren’t they? Though… I don’t think I’ve ever raised one myself. I guess I’m not that lucky.
Whoa. You know someone like that, Takato?
[Taiga was impressed. If he had to know someone like that, perhaps that meant Takato was really good at the card game?]
Well, Rina’s not bad. I mean, she’s friendly, although her antics are kind of annoying at times. It’s always in a friendly way though, and I’m kind of guilty of messing with her from time to time.
And then there’s Akiho… Ah. Nyanko-tamer’s at the top of the Rankings as Number One.
[And even after all that time had passed, he was still Third Best. It was rather disheartening, to consider that he didn’t have any special ‘titles’ in the real world like he had in the Digital World.
And yet…]
She’s still Number One— for now, anyway!
Ohh, I see. Ruki's kind of... not really friendly side, but like I mentioned before, she can be really nice when she wants to be. She's definitely one of the best people I know, though.
I don't think I have it in me to mess with her.
//Ruki was really reliable when it came down to things... and besides, he really respected her.
Hey, Taiga-san, it must be really nice aiming to be the best in something, huh?
Umm... Guilmon. Guilmon is my favorite.
Guilmon? Whoa, those are pretty rare, aren’t they? Though… I don’t think I’ve ever raised one myself. I guess I’m not that lucky.
"Pretty cool" only begins to describe him, Takato. Of course, V.V.’s Tamer herself is…
[Taiga trailed off. How would he describe Rina to someone who had never met her, or much less heard of her? That itself was a challenge; the green-haired tamer was…]
… Hey, Takato? Remember what I said about the ranking system and how I’m Number 3? She’s kind of a standout— Not in a bad way, but…
… To give you perspective, everyone calls her the “Demon Lord of Strategy”.
//The crimson-eyed boy blinked. "Demon Lord of Strategy"? And here the thought that the title of "Demon Lord" was reserved for the Digimon of the Seven Deadly Sins.
//... Wasn't it a little too ironic that her partner was an UlforceVeedramon? A Royal Knight?
Well then. Your friend can't be all bad, right?
I mean... I one of my friends is called the "Digimon Queen" because she could beat nearly everyone at the card game.
//And then there was the point that Ruki-- initially, anyway, was probably the most skilled Tamer in all of Shinjuku.
Umm... Guilmon. Guilmon is my favorite.
Guilmon? Whoa, those are pretty rare, aren’t they? Though… I don’t think I’ve ever raised one myself. I guess I’m not that lucky.
[Thinking about it, it occurred to Taiga that he had seen Dukemon in Binary Castle— and again at the foot of Mt. Infinity, as Dukemon X.
Of course, there was that instance where he’d met “Takato Matsuda” in the Coliseum… but that was a different person, wasn’t it? Or maybe, now that he thought about it, he was imagining the meeting to begin with.
Possibly.]
Well, a couple people. I think I’ve only seen one or two, though… It’s more common to see WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon, Seraphimon, Rosemon— I know a friend who has UlforceVeedramon as her partner, too.
I see...
//Somehow, it was still relieving to know that there weren't many people partnered to a Guilmon out there. Either way, in the end, he was partnered to the very first one in existence, and was probably the only one who could achieve matrix evolution-- and then there was the addition of Crimson Mode, too!
//It felt a little weird for him to take pride in his accomplishments, but still. Takato would never stop being proud of that.
An UlforceVeedramon? That's a pretty cool Digimon too, isn't it Taiga-san?
Umm... Guilmon. Guilmon is my favorite.
Guilmon? Whoa, those are pretty rare, aren’t they? Though… I don’t think I’ve ever raised one myself. I guess I’m not that lucky.
[He should have guessed that Takato’s favorite Digimon would have been Guilmon. If he were to still assume that this person was the same as the one he’d met before in the colleseum… it would certainly be hard to forget.
In that same line of thought, Taiga believed it was best not to say anything in regards to that topic.
The blue-haired teenager nodded.]
Yeah. Guilmon’s one of the more rare Digimon, though. Last time I checked, there were a ton of prerequisites to get all his other evolutions. Most people don’t have the patience to train them, and end up giving up and trying for a different evolution tree of Guilmon’s. Tyrannomon’s the most common, if I remember correctly.
I’d give it a shot if I had the chance, but Agumon’s my pride and joy.
I see. That game you play sounds like a whole lot of fun, Taiga-san.
But is Guilmon that hard to train? I mean... there has to be someone who's managed to get Guilmon to Mega, right?
//Considering it was a game that he assumed thousands of people played, it would be surprising if that wasn't the case.
Umm... Guilmon. Guilmon is my favorite.
Guilmon? Whoa, those are pretty rare, aren’t they? Though… I don’t think I’ve ever raised one myself. I guess I’m not that lucky.
They're rare?
//That's surprising. Despite getting an explanation of Digital Monster, a part of him feels a little awkward for admitting that Guilmon was his favorite Digimon-- and he definitely was! He was the Digimon that he created and raised, after all.
//In that regard, he felt that even if there were other Guilmon than his best friend... none of them would be as special to him as his partner.
Are they in that online game you were telling me about, Taiga-san?

I want to RP real shit in a ship. I want the fights, the tears, the late nights with pillowtalk, the dumb discussion and small intimate moments, the duties and the nights ordering food because they’re too lazy to cook anything. i want disagreements and fooling around, being silly. i want the trips to places, to an amusement park, to a boring art museum one of them wanted to go, to the mall, roadtrips, lazy mornings and early, hurried mornings. little scares, silly texting when they’re apart, whining about things to eachother, night cuddles and nights where they don’t even touch because of a disagreement. I want the cute nights in, and the nights out. I want to see the pairing grow, I want it to take time and be complex, I want it to be factible, and not a fairytale. I want the good and the bad that comes with a relationship.
